I am a Greek VO actor with 20 years of experience and own pro studio (we've done many projects together) and lately i got 2 invitations from studios/agencies i previous worked with, asking me if i would be interested in the scenario that they clone my voice for their service, in their platform. Of course the offer for my AI voice per hour was so ridiculous that i would need around 25 projects for the same income. So, they asked me to create a cheap competitor for my voice 😂so one can buy my voice 25 times cheaper than i sell it my self. They literally asked me to give them the keys to my business... Sorry but it is a NO and we all should prevent our voices from this. I really appreciate tech evolution and have my eyes on it, but they have to respect us. A win win situation has to be found in the future or we actors will become something like the vinyl records, for few that have a fetish with the real thing!

Nice video, very well balanced and informative. We at Adelphi are getting more inquires for AI voices and Ai translations. We have spent over 20 years building up a voice talent range of over 2000 foreign language and accented English voice artists plus transcribers and translators. The trend towards AI is worrying for many in the industry.

A Slam Dunk for Human Voices - Great video. No surprises. Cheap = AI but quality flops. Nothing beats a human voice . . .. . but I would say that as I am a UK VO with many years of experience. Bottom line is you get you pay for and shortcuts, cutting corners will end up in disaster.

AI voiceovers are good for accessibility but that's about it. Boring to listen to.
