- On this fishing trip, I hit the Tennessee River to do some kayak catfishing on an early spring day and the bite was on fire. It was an awesome trip with a lot of blue catfish being caught.

Great trip on a sunny day with smooth water and active fish! You’ve mentioned a few times that you lift that weight 3’ off the bottom. I always consider catfish to do most of their feeding right on the bottom. I assume they come up to hit those baits. Also, people probably don’t realize how tough it is to talk to a camera like you do. I almost always fish alone and I’ve tried to talk like you do to my paddle or whatever and it’s awkward! You do a great job of taking us along on your outings.

Great action. I am a Bass fisherman, those guys came in checked it out and left. Lol. Normally when your in an area loaded with catfish and carp the bass are in another area.They dont like to hang out together very often.
