How does this guy not have more subs. I started following some of his advice in his shorts. I've lost 25lb down to almost my goal weight. But that has NOTHING on how amazing I feel. Night and day. Everyone needs to pay attention.

good tips. I would like to add, after removing toxins and eating organic, here are some underrated supplements for detoxing the liver, and healing a fatty liver. I know you say to avoid supplements, but if you find quality these are unmatched
NAC - not to be taken all the time, increases cystine and glutathione
    CDP Choline
and inositol , both very important for healing fatty liver.

Yeah, anyone watching the video would benefit from cutting out the things he mentioned. Unfortunately cutting out the foods and what little toxins he did mention is not going to detox your liver. Especially when his meal plan probably consists of an overload of fat (Meat contains far more fat than people realize and requires your liver, hydrochloric acid, and your bile to break down the proteins and fats within the meat that don't separate well)
While there are healthy fats, your body does not need much fat at all to function at a healthy level. Fat is the reason people gain weight. It sounds so obvious yet people so often miss it. The reason people get diabetes and gain copious amounts of weight is because everyone is eating high sugar and high fat/protein). When you eat sugar your glucose (blood sugar) goes up. Your body releases insulin in response to push the glucose into the cells of your body to fuel them. (Practically everything in your body runs off of glucose)
If you have high levels of fat within your bloodstream, it will block the glucose from reaching your cells, which will trigger your pancreas to release more insulin, causing insulin resistance, diabetes, the whole 9 yards. Therefore sugar is quick to blame, since sugar is causing the insulin spike. But it's backwards thinking and leads to many people trying the ketogenic diet (the worst long term diet you could ever be on for your body, I have also tried it)
When you instead take out the fats and eat good healthy sugars (every fruit on the planet, raw honey) and carbs (potatoes, vegetables, etc) you end up with steady glucose levels because surprise, the insulin can finally push the glucose out of your bloodstream into your cells, and with no excess fat for the liver to break down the entire day, it can finally get to healing itself and break down the fat stored in your body instead. Because our bodies do not burn fat (Broken misconception, anyone overweight would have energy without the need to eat, but we know that is not the case.) When your liver cannot support your bodily functions to help you break down fats, you gain weight when you eat large amounts of fat, and most everyone is eating high fat even if they are not aware of it.
TL;DR lower your fats if you want to lose fat and heal your body.
You dont have to go anti animal product, but at least have less of it later in the day to give your body a chance to recover. Also you can get more than enough protein for the day from a single bowl of spinach. There are some juicy scientific papers on how little protein we actually need even in the case of athletes. And even the mainstream way we believe to build muscle is a misconception.

@@conisnotdeadWould you have a recommended shopping list? Everyone's advice on weight loss is oftentimes contradictory and goes in circles, which leads to just grabbing stuff off the shelf seemingly randomly.

    • @conisnotdead
      @conisnotdead 3 місяці тому

@deltafeline888 Absolutely! Unfortunately that's the reality of every fad diet, endless suggestions because all of it is just a guess. First I can give you a list of what you'll want to avoid at the store; Dairy, corn, canola oil, eggs, pork, soy, nutritional yeast, farmed fish, and apple cider vinegar. Anything GMO or containing MSG, artificial flavors, gluten, citric acid or natural flavors. Most of these in moderation would be harmless for anyone who has no chronic health conditions, a healthy liver, and a minimal bacterial/viral load. Unfortunately that is not the case for a frightening majority of people. Things like eggs and dairy should be avoided at all costs if you want to heal/lose weight. Dairy is fat + sugar, an absolute nightmare for diabetes, and modern day eggs are no longer healing foods as just about every modern bacteria thrives off of them. Hard to swallow because I loved eggs, but healing is more important.
Okay so a typical shopping list could look something like the following, and its okay if you can't afford or don't have access to organic versions of some of these but do try to get them: Spinach and leafy greens (pretty much any and all lettuces), Kale, cabbage, radishes, tomatoes, cucumber, asparagus, potatoes (or sweet potatoes), Squash (any winter squash), Onions, Garlic, raw honey, wild blueberries (wild matters), any type of melon, apples, bananas, oranges, any hot peppers to go with a meal, cilantro, parsley. Lemon water will help your body with life long mineral deficiencies and give you electrolytes your body needs. If you're worried about protein, eat more spinach its got more than enough. If you're worried about calcium, oranges have more bioavailable calcium than any form of dairy.
The problem with changing diets is people jump into them too quickly, your body is a machine, it has set rhythms and schedules because it understands what you eat and when you eat it, in order to try and keep you as healthy as you can be. When you dive in to it without giving your body a chance to transition you're going to do more harm than good. I recommend starting to incorporate a bit of the foods listed above, and start to limit your meat portions and have them at the end of the day. These are some of the most important foods I could think of for a typical shopping day off the top of my head, and you can make some delicious meals out of the foods listed above. Just about any form of vegetables, leafy greens, and fruits are going to be beneficial so add them if you want, there are filler foods that don't really heal the body but don't have any negative effects such as millet, beans and lentils, and if you find any form of dressing or packaged food that's low in fat, and excludes any of the bad ingredients I listed above you should be alright, just remember fresh is better.
With this diet I usually eat a ton of sweet potatoes and a lot of bananas for getting calories in. Also I make plenty of smoothies and juices (like celery juice) with the fruits, veg and herbs which are insanely helpful for supporting your liver and breaking down fat. Here's a smoothie recipe that will help detoxify your liver:
2 bananas or ½ Maradol papaya, cubed
½ cup fresh, 1 packet frozen, or 2 tablespoons powdered red pitaya (dragon fruit)
2 cups fresh or frozen or 2 tablespoons powdered wild blueberries
      ½ cup water (optional)
Don't be worried about eating too much (you'll find it difficult) because you'd be missing the point of how weight gain works, the only way you're going to gain weight eating like this is through building lean muscle, or perhaps your body having negative reactions if you go too fast into it and your liver has to work overtime (swelling because of not properly releasing toxins, lymphedema, fluid retention, etc.)
*edit* explanation of the foods listed: The fruit and veggies contain powerful antioxidants, phytochemical compounds, antiviral compounds, etc. that your liver can utilize and modify (really cool stuff) to help detoxify it. By incorporating them and lowering the fats your body and liver will have a fighting chance against unwanted fat and any other chronic health issues you might be facing.

I know this is not related to the video but would like to ask this question in your latest video.
So I know nuts and seeds should be avoided but after doing some research, what are your thoughts on Organic Apricot Seeds, if you have heard of these?
I have heard great things about them and the Burusho, Wakhi, and Hunza people eat these seeds like Americans eat peanuts apparently and their average life expectancy is around 90 and even upwards to 100, which is around 20-30 years more than the average global lifespan of humans…
One thing that really stands out with this type of seed is that it is has anti-cancer elements in them and when you extract the oil from the seed, these people put this oil on their skin and they don’t / if rarely ever wrinkle, even at the great age they live to be!
I would really like to know your thoughts on this type of seed and if it should be avoided like other nuts in a video or short!
