I'm glad Shae won't play. I want him totally ready for the Blazers. Take no chances for the upcoming season.
he might also be saving himself for his extension. He's still on a rookie deal and hasn't really earned the huge payday yet. Most of those other guys are set in their post rookie contracts
Thats a terrible view. ALl the good players comment about how much they learn and grow and develop playing with the other great players on the Olympic teams and training with them, seeing how they work etc during that time. He would have no chance to learn in this environment for the US, but now CA actually has a really good national team with actual NBA stars that could do a ton for him. Especially when none of that is available in training with the NBA team he plays for. And hes barely 21, if hes so fragile hes gonna get hurt every time he trains with real players hes got way worse issues. Its not like he was going to actually play tons of minutes in actual games for the team
This was indeed a video about basketball. Very informative.
I agree. Just keep developing in the gym this summer and keep the injury risk low
Hopefully, Sharpe will stay healthy and become the star I think he can become and be on Canada roster for 2027 World Cup and 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Roster will be SGA,Murray,Olynyk,Brooks,Barrett,Nembhard,NAW,Lyles,Wiggins,Dort,Edey and Powell.
Nahhhh he'll play for united states 🇺🇸. Canada buggin. Leave them alone
Let's go Blazers!!!
him and ben are with the team... they are learning just too young, he is big part of our future
Pass first point guard is more Stormy Rainman, with his information
I don't expect Portland to get anything more than a mid-to-late first-round pick for Malcolm, and that's probably fine. I still feel like Udoka in Houston would be motivated to get both Brogdon and Williams and we could get some value for the pair.
lol you better not be hoping for more than that. A mid first is already higher than Brogdons value
@@grapeape1965 he's worth what teams are willing to give up to get him. Until we actually see, we're just nobodies on the internet speculating.
I’m not sure the Caruso trade will reset the market, more likely the consensus is that the Bulls screwed the pooch
I thought the reason Shae/Benn weren’t included is because of their injuries? Maybe I’m wrong
Brogdon is worth more because he’s a 6MOY, and has more to offer with offense. If Anfernee is traded, we can keep Brogdon.
Alex Caruso is a better player right now and is being paid less than half Brogdon’s salary. If the Blazers get more for him than Chicago got for Caruso, it’ll be because Chicago overvalued Giddey and/or is atrocious at negotiating. It won’t be because Brogdon is more valuable than Caruso
lmao absolutely not. He is an injury prone, former 6moty nowhere near current, who even weeks after winning it bc he was on a top team in the league, was in a trade that only got back the very last pick of the first round lmao. And his value has only gone down immensely since then while his injuries have just piled on and the same reoccurring permanent injury has continued to worsen. Brogdon and his $22,5M contract is not and has never been worth more than Caruso and his $9,9M deal on the trade market lmao
Gotta say pure talent wise, giddey is better than Caruso especially considering upside, giddey just had a rough year.
But from fit standpoint, yes, OKC won this trade
@@LockedOnBlazers we will see what the over reactions the other way look like when the olympic games are played this summer and Giddey shows out in his proper role leading AUS like he did last summer and like the takes on his skill all did last summer
Caruso being on a $9.8M expiring and still only getting this value doesn’t help. But I’m gonna be an optimist here - the chances of Cronin getting fleeced by Presti just went down, so now we can expect that he’ll get fleeced slightly less-badly by someone not named Presti
Shaedon finding out real quick being on Portland is a huge career crutch
There will always be downsides to playing for a small market team but recent championships by the likes of Denver and Milwaukee show those teams can make it to the top, if not as often as the big market teams
The fact that he hasn't done squat so far in his basketball career may have more to do with it.
lmao yeah thats the reason why. Not bc of his actual play. While the team has multiple players from similar to smaller markets than him
Sharpe wasn't there to compete for Canadian Olympic team.
He is still rehabbing the adductor surgery. You failed to report that.
This is not in any way a disappointment.
It's an honor to be invited. Put yourself in the team's shoes.
Why risk a setback for a projected future star?
@@LockedOnBlazers What you didn't report is that he didn't go there to tryout to make the team. He may not be currently injured, but that's not the point. Core surgery is nothing risk a setback prior to training. This invite was to work out!
@@LockedOnBlazersthe important takeaway for me is that he’s not hurt anymore. It’s still early days, but I have hopes he’s going to be the next star on this team.
No Blazers in the Olympics ?? It has nothing to do with a poorly coached Blazers team that loses by 60 points.
It doesn't! Sharpe and Mathurin were invited to workout only; not to make the team. He had adductor surgery. Nothing to with 60 point losses or Billups coaching!!
Confirming what realists know: he isn’t very good.
I would put it as “he needs to prove that he can be good while staying healthy” if we are to consider him the next great Blazer
He has not yet reached the age that Michael Jordan was when he was drafted. Are there any preschoolers that need to be thrown under the bus??
Sorry to offend the homers, but he is Gerald Green. Look at Canada’s roster. His not making it is not a good thing.
Also MJ was 21 when drafted and scored 28 a game as a rookie. 🤦
Mike! Did you get a new camera? The video feed is lookin Sharpe!
