As a warriors guy.(really a Steph guy) I can tell you right now the Dubs are not giving up Kuminga and picks. He is considered the future there. I think Podz is now available. So picks could get attached to him. Other than that all the other scenarios sound decent an the fact that these two teams trade scenarios seem great. We would love to take on ALL 3. Give you guys 3 exp contracts, 2 picks and Moody to build on. You guys draft Flagg. Everyone wins!!
I really feel that people outside of warriors don't really know how good kuminga is.
Even the Warriors don't really know how good he is. Kerr didn't play him the first few years to see if he was worth the max extension. Now the Warriors have to play him to see if they want to sign Kuminga to the max, otherwise Kuminga will be a restricted free agent
@iam1nerd I believe there are a lot of people outside of the warriors that know how good he is. It's just Kerr.
All for tanking. Lets go! Gonna hate to see schroder leave
Just like golden state drafted players and they turned out to be bust samething can happen to the Nets keep some of the veterans here don't get rid of all of them Keep CJ
L take
OKC is the best trade partner by far and they have assets to the net should want.
They have Phillies one through six protected lottery pick and Miami’s one through 14 protected first round pick in this upcoming draft.
Who's going to play with Cooper if you trade the whole team away ?
I see no difference between more than likely being stuck in the middle (more likely than not) anyway like the Hawks who drafted an all star versus the Nets just going for it now.
Even if the absolute best case scenario unfolds for the Nets it’s still more likely they are only a contender for 5 years like they still would be even without a full rebuild rather than a contender for 8-10 years. The only team that was really a contender for a decade worth of years was the Spurs and shooting to be them is like hoping to find a needle you threw out and you are looking for it at a dump site.
Many fans are also missing are missing and overlooking important points about the Nets being in a big market. The reality is the Nets are just a bush league team that was thrown into big market New York City where only international fans mostly care about them.
Any business opportunities the Nets offer are less cared about by stars in their prime unless you have some notable team achievements to go along with it. Money and business don’t check off 100% of what stars want especially when they also care about reputation and winning and rich history. You need more than just those 2 things.
The only reason the Nets got Kyrie Irving is because they were an exceptionally lucky beneficiary of a rare NJ Nets fan who is far and few between in the states. No one who is in their prime would ever come to the Nets for winning only maybe an old guy like Butler who knows he can’t be that level of a number 1 or 2 guy anymore. The Nets are better off having malcontents big their a small (less cares about U.S.) franchise name in a big city market name.
Trying to sell the Nets in New York City as a meaningful star free agent destination is liking trying to sell how star free agents would flock to Oklahoma City if they moved to New York tomorrow. No they wouldn’t as the name of the city doesn’t all of a sudden brand you as a historical legacy of a franchise.
Tear it all down...get a high upside STUD in the draft to build around!
what if Brooklyn traded away all their talent and Cooper Cupp is just another Austin Reeves.👈 Lame
Nobody’s talking about that possibility
And that if they get him
Didn’t Cam said he doesn’t want to leave?
I think all the vets will end up in different locations, Brooklyn would not want Kuminga because he's not good and he's expecting a Max.
I think Dennis will be traded before Monday for Melton and Draft Capital. Hopefully, Marks can get an FRP. Dorian won't be traded until January, and Cam Johnson will be held until February.
yall need to start talking bout Cam Thomas, he should be coming back soon.
I don't think the Nets keep Kuminga, I can see them finding a 3rd team to swap for picks.
"Third Team" is a conversation we will have next week as well.
Totally agree!!! Want picks...not players who can help immediately! That wouldn't make any sense...then why trade Cam at all!
GS is a real possibility for DS and Cam....in a deal like this a 3rd team would be needed to probably happen...Nets don't want back players that will help them this year!
Do I like a player like Jonathan Kuminga yes but I think people are missing the point about why you’re doing these trades. Yes, you want to get assets but you’re not necessarily looking for win now assets Jonathan k that’s pretty similar winning value that Cam Johnson does so do you want to add that talented of a player right now when you’re trying to lose games I’d say no.
If Nets don't sell off the vets that would be shocking...in light of trading to get back their own pick! Don't mess this up Marks!
What if Brooklyn trades CJ, Doe, and Shroder plus some picks for De’Arron Fox…shot in the dark but what yall think about this trade?
Yea never would happen but would be golden for Nets
Foxx has shown over the years that he is not a winning player. There is no Kidd in Foxx.
The Nets gone trade all the vets in order to tank....and still end up out of the Top 3 picks next year.....
That’s fine. Good thing this draft is seven players deep at least
Get the best lottery slot possible...1 thru 3 prior to the lottery may be hard to do!!! An epic tank would sure help!!
Keep CJ
Dec 15th...trades will begin!!!!!
DFS to the Spurs for a future first feels right
DFS will not get you a #1...maybe a couple of 2's!
Nets fans don't want Melton
I think the Melton part of this is just to make the salaries work, so GS would require that Melton be included to take him off their books. Which is different than the Nets actually wanting him to play down the road when he's recovered.
@ericw4377 👍🏾
Hoping my Cavs offer Levert,J.Tyson a future unprotected #1 in 2031 and multiple 2's for Cam. Nets then trade Levert in a 3 team deal more more draft capital!!!
LOSER IDEA!!!!!!!
Kuminga has great athletic gifts, but his jump shot and shot selection are not good.
Nets are trading the veterans. Nets arent tanking. So get over it. Wait until Thomas gets back.6th or 7th seed. Your all LOSERS THAT WANT TO TANK!!!!!
Check your facts fella
. Jordan Poole is producing pretty well this year for a 30th pick. Were you a fan of Dante Devincenzo before the Warriors? Sacramento didn't even make him an offer to stay, He looked good as a Knick and has regressed now, Ty Jerome of the Cavs was largely developed on a Dubs 2 way contract by my memory. Kuminga is averaging 22/6.4/2.6 with 1.4S and 0.9B per 36 minutes this season (at 22 years old) and Moody is averaging 17.2/4.3/2.0 per 36 (23 years old) They're just not getting minutes on a deep roster. Get your stats straight about Dubs development, they just want more experienced players for a run for Steph, that's it.
The Nets must trade to ensure that they don't win 10 more games the rest of the year...The win total has to be under 20 to get the kind of lottery slot we want!
Warriors are more interested in Schroeder. Cam Johnson will be overpriced.
Schroeder for Melton+Gui Santos and one second rounder.
Btw- Y'all sleeping on Kuminga. He's a dawg who puts in the work. Compare his handles and jump shot to 2 years ago.
He's certainly no reclamation project.
Lol. No trash for schroder. 1st and more. Good luck
