I really wanted to play some mmo, like in the good ol days, and I thought sheesh, I already have 600 hours in new world (yes I had 600 hours by the time watermark update came in lol, we were kings), so why not play it, see what changed, you know, give myself a day or two, damn, it's been a week and I'm honestly amazed by the good job AGS did with this game. I found myself enjoying this game again and it looks like another 600 hours is coming in shortly lmao, ah yea so the coincidence , that's the video I needed hehe.
Duke, PLEASE put a video out on the desync/latency/ping issue! AGS needs to immediately address this as many long term players like myself giving this game a break. AGS listens to you and other big name NW youtubers. Please help be the voice for fellow NW gamers. We appreciate your content more than you know!
I'll be honest, I don't think me talking about it in a video is going to change anything. They are aware of the issue and are working on it and it's obviously a high priority issue because it affects a ton of active players. My voice in the mix isn't going to make them find a solution faster when they clearly struggle to pinpoint what's causing the issue. I might still discuss it in a video soon, but I highly doubt it'll in any way affect the speed at which a fix is found!

@@bruised7347 Yeah, Genesis non-mutation farm is pretty much almost exclusively done for Expertise increases. Might be that some people also do it for Transmog tokens now though, but there would be better options for that imo.
Players spam run genesis regular, because there are a lot of higher level gear drops there. A player gets 25 regular expedition chances a day. Some players spam gen (genesis) 25 in one day. Many of these players do not even bother to make it to the mid boss. They spam the mini bosses close to the start, then quit and go back in to get their 25 a day limit. Some players call this a Gen Reg Taxi spam, because the miniboss Tax'i has a lot of 500 to 600 GS named gear drops. They get the named gear and also the gear score increase.
So what do we do with 190k Umbral shards? Do we max out our current sets or keep em around for smth if they dont get completely wiped........???? I imagine that some people have enormous loads of them.
I think I heard something about that in the new xpac, like expertise won't matter in the new content, you'll just get auto 625+ loot no matter your expertise.
Hey Duke, since they just recently implemented the ultimate trophies. you think its safe to invest the money into crafting them? dropping 400k+ is quite an investment and i wouldnt put it past AGS to make them obsolete. lots of people are specualting the gear score increase with s3. would you consider investing into bags and tools now since the prices dropped?
I wouldn't invest into the trophies at the moment, personally. I don't think they'll be made obsolete all too soon, but they're extremely expensive for a minor benefit. Bags and tools on the other hand may remain valuable for a while after the expansion, since they likely won't be the first thing you upgrade. So IF you'd get a significant upgrade out of getting a better one at the moment, I don't see why not!
You could just craft three Ultimate combat trophies, and that will take care of having multiple spots on the wall taken by them. It’s by far the best one to craft. Then you can hang a crafting trophy up when you need to without having to invest in a ultimate crafting trophy which is not worth it. Also save as much money as you can cause you will want to buy stuff when it comes out.
Not yet, planned for Season 4 this year. You'll generally have a hard time finding groups for expeditions at the moment since most people stopped running them due to the expansion changes. It feels a bit pointless to grind to M10 if you have to do it all over in 1 1/2 months!

Question Duke, I hope you can answer. From The faction vender I’m buying the fishing containers and it gives me unusual bait. When I go to the vender it changes to journeyman notes and no fishing exp. How can I use this towards fishing levelling? Thanks
Once u buy the fishing container is should pop up in your inventory, then u just click on it and use, there should be no reason to go to a vendor. Hope this helped 😅
Can i solo all quests now? I remember some of them where bugged etc and couldnt even be done with 2 players, i want to able to play solo what content cant i do? im max level on a server i think has atleast 500 players LOL hahahahahahaha

The quest for the heartrune gear slot is in Brimstone Sands. It is a side quest line given at the outpost nearest to Ebonsacle Reach. Internet search for how to unlock the heartrune gear slot and it will give all of the information.
It is much better to level the character as soon as possible. This allows the use of better (higher gear score) gathering tools. Higher level gathering tools speeds up the gather rate and the xp gain. Using lower level gathering tools is mostly a waste of time, and should be avoided. Selling green wood or other raw matts for 0.04 to 0.07 is also a waste of time. Lower level players do not have the bags' space to increase carry weight, so not much they can gather, anyway. Higher level players also have access to more locations' storage, so the player can store matts and put in buy orders at trade post. Getting the character to level 40 will allow the use of starmetal tools, which have much faster gather rate than iron tools or steel tools. There is also no real reason to do a lot of gathering early game, less than 40 level. With the new system, a player could probably hit 40 in 20 hours or less just playing the quests. No real reason to do the lower level expeditions at less than 40 level. Just go full quest line and side/ faction quest until 40 level is reached, then a player can also be a little more picky with the armor attributes and perks than a plyer under 40. Also, players should buy low level tools with the xp boost perk, so it will make leveling the gathering faster. When I started playing this dumpster fire of a game, it was much much worse to level gathering. Now, it is a lot better, because it requires less grinding gathering xp. The xp boost perk is not really needed after a player gets 200 level gathering.
I'm not sure why you're talking about leveling a character. This is a returning players guide, not a new players guide. It is implied that the character is already leveled.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't be aware of this unless you started playing later yourself?

I came back after quitting with 600 hours in December 2021. Games actually really good now, I’d say it’s the most enjoyable MMO there currently is. They did totally f**k the launch but at least they didn’t give up
META is totally overrated... i have not played for about 9 or 10 months ... joined my 1st OPR yesterday and smashed everything with my oldscool GS/Hatchet with Medium and shirking fort :) 200 str / 150 dex / 150 const - and my gear is absolutely NOT BIS ... i am sooooo happy it still does its thing with my playstyle nowadays :)
I just started playing again as well. Have over 1300 hours put into the game. Never played the Isabella expedition so did it last night and ran it like nothing. Still have the same gear from when mutations had just came out lol. Just finished Brimmstone quest line I believe now should be starting angry earth? Not entirely sure tbh lol. Just winging it lol.
Gypsum, Rafflebones, the new weapon mastery farm and double XP tokens, Transmog tokens, normalized gear score, Season pass.. yeah "nothing" has changed since launch ;)
Unless your interested in running the same expeditions over and over and over and over again players shouldnt return. PvP (OPR) is dominated by annoying range which has the most damage, most tick damage, longest slow, most range. Open world PvP isnt incentivized so it doesnt exist.

Tbh I was craving for a mmo, I used to play ESO but when i downloaded, i realised the game is really old now. New worlds has good graphics and better mechanical gameplay.Content wise its not the greatest but still, its in a better condition since the start.

Ags should give players a catch up gear like BDO did recently and some returning items. Nw is lacking in these parts.

rafflebone is like a loot goblin and i love it. i kinda hope they actually end up adding some form of loot goblin that has a chance to spawn.
Rafflebones has been in the game for over a year now. If you look for him, eventually you'll find.

Nice video but nobody is returning to the game because there is nothing for them...
Unless your interested in running the same expeditions over and over and over and over again players shouldnt return. PvP (OPR) is dominated by annoying range which has the most damage, most tick damage, longest slow, most range. Open world PvP isnt incentivized so it doesnt exist.
So wait! You made a video to tell " returning players " to come to play New World because there is not much or not at all returning players??? Hmm and do all such of thing max your weapon master of your profession because who knows what's coming next ? Man i like your videos 80% but not sure why ppl would come " back " to this game ! Simply just coz there 100 new mmo what try and discover . Instead of waist my time whit this game ( talking a boomer whig 1600 + hours sent on game )

@tayalt2406 but why the hell should they come back ? And don't get me wrong, i blame New World Ags ! Not DukeSloth ! I'm sure if he would have the possibility to change some basic things on game , New World would be better then now!
@@Altarknight As I said in the video, I made this because multiple of my friends decided to come back recently, so I can just link them this video if they have any questions. As for "why", they came back because they want to prep for the expansion.

Tbh I was craving for a mmo, I used to play ESO but when i downloaded, i realised the game is really old now. New worlds has good graphics and better mechanical gameplay.Content wise its not the greatest but still, its in a better condition since the start.
this game sucks so hard...
