Simply one of their very best songs with a lovely message, too bad they didn't get as much credit as they'd have deserved. Never mind Winger is an awesome band and they're still just as awesome.
I was walking through Walmart I began to pray and I almost started crying and this song reminds me of that moment because I felt like a voice from within said son I am within everyone. (God)
Rod Morgenstein is recognised as one of the very best drummers in the world. He played with The Dixie Dregs. Listen to the end of Rainbow in the rose and tell me its not mind blowing........
+Justin Rosary It's terrific...but it still a hair behind the first 3 albums (no pun intended).. But for a band from the 80s metal era, Karma is probably the best post-year 2000 release you will find from any of them. Can't deny the talent of this band.
I love how this song is about his first wife who was killed in an accident back in '87. Can't believe after all those years of thinking about her, he wrote a song so brilliant.
"Always Within Me" I didn't know when I said hello what my life with you'd become I didn't know and I never really understand it But every time I see into your eyes I see the reasons That I'll always come back, come back to you Like the air that I breath Like the land and the sea Like the hope like the need Your always within me I didn't know in the time together my heart would begin to mend I didn't know that i'd fall in love again and again I carry you with every step I take You are the one Like the air that I breath Like the land and the sea Like the hope like the need Your always within me Like the blood in my veins Like the fire, like the rain Like the air that I breath Your always within me And as long as your heart is willing And as long as the sun will shine I will always stand by your side Like the air that I breath Like the land and the sea Like the hope like the need Your always within me Like the blood in my veins Like the fire, like the rain Like the air that I breath Your always within me Your always within me Like the air that I breath Like the land and the sea Like the hope like the need Your always within me
Every song on this record is outstanding. The first two songs are the weakest songs and they are still GREAT songs! Anyone who considers themselves a rock fan should own this record. It is a masterpiece. Plain and simple.
wasn't a huge fan of 'winger IV' but 'karma' brought me back. there's not a song on this whole album i don't love.....anyone else get into kip's solo albums? this man is a GOD!!!!!
I didn't realize that Winger had made a new album after "IV", which I absolutely LOVE. I'm prior service and EVERY track on that disk resonated with me immensely. On this album, I really love the tracks "After All This Time" and "Witness"....but this track is my absolute favorite. Kip is a musical genius and Reb is...well, quite frankly one of the best Rock Guitarists of our time. Can't say enough how much I loved this band (and Kip's solo stuff). Pure joy to listen to. **out**
Every time I listen to this song, I don't know what it is...it's just magic plain and simple. :) it's like it takes me back to how music was in the earlier days, when it actually was put effort into and had soul. Winger was awesome then, and they're awesome now.
OK MAY 7TH 2021 WINGER, GREAT WHITE AND OPENING IS HINDSIGHT!!! THIS CONCERT HAS BEEN CANCELED X2!!! HOUSTON TEXAS!!! YESSSS I STARTED THEM OUT IN EARLY 80'S// IM WAY OLDER AND SOOOOOO IS KIP, VERY SEASONED AND STILL HOTTT WITH GREY HAIR!!! I WILL ALL KNOW HOW AWESOME THIS CONCERT IS!! ITS LIKE 7 DAYS NOW!!! IM SOOOOOO BESIDE MYSELF!! OHHH IM 61// MY DAUGHTERS ARE 36 AND 34!! YESS MY MOTHERS DAY!! THESE GIRLS WOULD REWIND THE CASSETTES ECT.// YA KNOW I COME FROM A TIME OF 4 TRACT/ 8 TRACK CASSETTES, SINGLES AND THE BEST FOR LAST VINYL ALBUMS!!! IM OLD SCHOOL!! PEACE AND LOVE OUT!!!!
For those who think this song is about his first wife, I think you might err. For one thing, this album came out after he had met and married his second wife, Paula, also a musician. "I didn't know in the time together my heart would begin to mend I didn't know that i'd fall in love again and again I carry you with every step I take You are the one" Here he seems to be talking about how he didn't know if his " heart would mend (after the sudden death of his first wife in a car accident)If he could fall in love again,"with this second woman, presumbly Paula.
I didn't know that. This explains the heavy tone of the lyrics and the melody. Powerful song by the way. Probably one of the best lyrics that have been written so far. I love karma, but especially this song.
This band has always been brilliant, who gives a shit what the mob says I could care less if they never hear this amazing music, it serves them right for being weak minded and conformists, damn conformity, I could care less what anyone says, I hear them and I listen but I think for myself and form my own opinions and as far as radio, it's there to mold the populous thoughts, not to play them good music or educate, it;s to control the people period to occupy slow minds. Yeah c'mon, yeah yeah!
Winger and Kip Winger are sadly underrated and dismissed in the mainstream. Well fuck the mainstream. This is an awesome song. I have loved Winger since I was literally 17. Which was the dinosaur age. I will defend this band till the day I die!
It's the power of branding. They came at the later end of metal and MTV. And literally the power of Beavis & Butthead -- a cartoon - helped to brand them as fluff. So far off. Great musicians.
grungeheads and pearl jam fans introduced the term. I never gave a horsehit. Many bands I love had big hair...Megadeth, Dokken, Ratt, Whitesnake, Van Halen. It's not relevant what those people think and say about bands I love.
I am so addicted to this song. Love Love Love it
KIP WINGER one Of The Best Vocalist EVER !! THIS IS QUALITY !!!!
Kip has always had a great voice and he is a solid song-writer.
Simply one of their very best songs with a lovely message, too bad they didn't get as much credit as they'd have deserved. Never mind Winger is an awesome band and they're still just as awesome.
It's ok....in my opinion everything after "Pull" is written exclusively for their fans. I can live with that :D lol
I was walking through Walmart I began to pray and I almost started crying and this song reminds me of that moment because I felt like a voice from within said son I am within everyone. (God)
Winger is so damn underrated. Will always love them
possibly the best Winger song.....
The best person to play with as life continues on...
Rod Morgenstein is recognised as one of the very best drummers in the world. He played with The Dixie Dregs. Listen to the end of Rainbow in the rose and tell me its not mind blowing........
Yeah...Rainbow in the Rose was proto prog metal before Dream Theater entered the stage.
A wonderful hard rock ballads. One of my favourites and if i am not wrong Karma is the best ever album released by Winger do far.....
+Justin Rosary It's terrific...but it still a hair behind the first 3 albums (no pun intended).. But for a band from the 80s metal era, Karma is probably the best post-year 2000 release you will find from any of them. Can't deny the talent of this band.
Not a bad song on this one...kudos!
this is a great song! I love it! And the Reb's guitar! Amazing in the end here!
Winger still rocks ..
and with even better riff & tunes !!
Listening in 2018 and this song is better than 100% of the crap they play on radio today!
Yes definetely
Wingerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! The one and only! :3
I love how this song is about his first wife who was killed in an accident back in '87. Can't believe after all those years of thinking about her, he wrote a song so brilliant.
Pure gold ... These songs get better with age !
This song is me and my wifes love song:)
"Always Within Me"
I didn't know when I said hello
what my life with you'd become
I didn't know and I never really understand it
But every time I see into your eyes
I see the reasons
That I'll always come back, come back to you
Like the air that I breath
Like the land and the sea
Like the hope like the need
Your always within me
I didn't know in the time together
my heart would begin to mend
I didn't know that i'd fall in love again and again
I carry you with every step I take
You are the one
Like the air that I breath
Like the land and the sea
Like the hope like the need
Your always within me
Like the blood in my veins
Like the fire, like the rain
Like the air that I breath
Your always within me
And as long as your heart is willing
And as long as the sun will shine
I will always stand by your side
Like the air that I breath
Like the land and the sea
Like the hope like the need
Your always within me
Like the blood in my veins
Like the fire, like the rain
Like the air that I breath
Your always within me
Your always within me
Like the air that I breath
Like the land and the sea
Like the hope like the need
Your always within me
Awesome Winger! Thanks for posting, HardRockCentral.
Rock it, Kip!!
"That's too much great music" --Said No One Ever
The best band living under the radar....
What a song ! I love it.
Every song on this record is outstanding. The first two songs are the weakest songs and they are still GREAT songs! Anyone who considers themselves a rock fan should own this record. It is a masterpiece. Plain and simple.
Thank-you for sharing this album. Nice to see a harder, metal side.
Kip is the number 1 !!!!!

Fantastic Song!! One of my favorities of Hard Rock, great lyrics and melody, and the chorus is fucking awesome!
Can't think of a better Rock ballad

Just Awesome...I wish 80's golden time is one more back...
Every time I listen to this song, I don't know what it is...it's just magic plain and simple. :) it's like it takes me back to how music was in the earlier days, when it actually was put effort into and had soul. Winger was awesome then, and they're awesome now.

Karma is now my favorite Winger cd! Amazing!

When I hear this song, it reminds me of a special woman.
like the hope like the need, your always within me.
I love this song 3
Always within me too!
Very underrated band...how can you call this "hair metal"?
It's the power of branding. They came at the later end of metal and MTV. And literally the power of Beavis & Butthead -- a cartoon - helped to brand them as fluff. So far off. Great musicians.
@@MarkFitzpatrickMD us musicians know better though
They were in their first album, then they became more melodic and hard rock as time went on.
grungeheads and pearl jam fans introduced the term. I never gave a horsehit. Many bands I love had big hair...Megadeth, Dokken, Ratt, Whitesnake, Van Halen.
It's not relevant what those people think and say about bands I love.
Where can I download Karma since it's not on iTunes?
Try Winger's website. Maybe any information there
I will thanks
Sadly the songs start too late and end before they are done.
Doesn't even sound like Kip ....sounds like Chris Cornell...Good song

@metallicarox80s Sorry but the man is a professor of percussion at Berklee. You must be limited in your studies.
@TheDarahConnection Where is Beavis and Butt head now.."Always within me" ha ha ha
Sadly I think these guys are so talented and underrated they are way better musician's than Metallica except for Cliff Burton of course
lolo
why the FUCK isn't this band more appreciated?! I say this is REAL music
