It’s not the anxiety that holds ppl back, it’s the Players u prog with, u need 7 other ppl not holding u back. Sounds rough but sadly,that’s why ultimates are hard truth. U can clear ultimates when all can do all mechs basically lol. And of course deal enough dps,mitigation,heals.
learning the mech is not that hard. executing the mechanic in a perfect manner is hard but looking for the players with the same skill level and skill ceiling that you can prog with is the hardest part
U get me wrong on that part, i never told anybody to quit just because u can’t get past a certain point yet. I for myself am not holding ppl up since I’m a shotcaller, I was always a fast learner, and need to be Mechanic safe to be one, but I’m not perfect either. Mistakes happen they always will. However what i was really going at here, is that Rich doesn’t have these problems with his group since well…..Rin Carry package all inclusive Style and so. He basically got a premium DLC for Ultimates. I for myself could probably clear my ultimate with this grp in few hours since I’m almost all way trough the mechs. Just would need to get used to doing the mechs how they do since, all ultimates grps do things diffrently. U just need to understand real ultimate statics don’t look like that it comes with more pain. peace😅
Honestly people forget that problem solving as a group is something that also determines pacing of progression, at least early on. The first few months the most you’ll know is what to do to complete the mechanics, but how your group actually goes about it might have a range of variances different between individual groups. And solving issues that arise between it all is a major part people don’t realize. This is less noticed as patches go by as a general consensus is eventually reached
Yah thats why I dont raid anymore. Theres too much pressure to get things done fast that I can't learn them in time. Every single savage group I've raided with kicked me for not learning fast enough. Ended up saying "screw this" unsubbed from 14 and swore off doing high end group content again. If I want a challenge I will play a single player game to get that, where the only factor is myself and I can go at my own pace instead of being constantly pressured and critiqued by the ff14 community I dont need that kind of toxicity in my life

You need to ask people to do the content, and make statics. Savage raiding, especially ultimate requires you to be more social. Now is the best time to do that, since many people are so into raiding

TEA is a whole another ballpark from UwU. If you die in UwU it barely matters. But for the majority of TEA if one person dies its just a wipe. Its a lot harder to get carried in TEA
Unsurprisingly, rich actually isn’t very good. He got carried hard in UCoB and UwU (he even said so himself). UCoB and UwU are easy to carry someone in cause they’re old lvl 70 ultimates that have been power crept by every job having buffed potencies and the fights never being rebalanced (GNB and NIN for example are busted in lvl 70 content). TEA on the other hand is very hard to carry someone in since dying in LL or BJ/CC usually results in a wipe 99% of the time and wormhole requires all 8 people to know all 8 different numbers and positions depending on what strat they’re using. Also the fact that dps checks actually exist in TEA unlike in UwU and UCoB where rich can die like 10 times and the other 7 will still clear the dps check without him.

Scholar will be FINE in the new expansion. It may not be flashy like Sage but I'm sure it'll hold it's own. I won't be playing it myself, mind you. I'll be all about that Sage/Reaper/Summoner/Dancer/Gunbreaker life to cover all my bases but I'm also not opposed to swapping Gunbreaker for Paladin if it turns out to be really cool.

Naturally big streamers will end up playing with top players if they choose to, it's hard to fault them for that. You could argue that they "earned" it in some ways by being good streamers. Like yeah, it's much easier to clear when most of your group is good at it and are willing to teach you, but you gotta remember that this basically doesn't reflect on the rest of the population in any way. Just because a new player like Rich cleared Ultimate doesn't make the rest of the population bad at the game or the fights easy. Normal players being envious is only natural as well, but we have to remember that big streamers don't play the same game as us; They have an audience to entertain and manage, instant queues, instant parties, always people waiting in the wings to help them out with stuff, or occasionally try to ruin their fun, it's just a different experience, not necessarily a "better" one. It depends on who you ask I suppose, but I just look at it like its own little world.
It's dope that he's doing this content, and it's awesome that he's got the people he does around him to guide, but it sucks that the only way I'll probably ever see the content is through the lens of a streamer/youtube video.

Drift drill and reassemble for like 30 seconds just doing 123 combos and drilled multiple times with reassemble up. Not that you drilled while reassemble was up multiple times (though you did do this too), but you did multiple drills while reassemble was up the whole time.
How many people in your static learned it for the first time ? He had at least 3-4 people who already knew it. And I doubt he made any blind prog on it. Execution is a feat yes. I don't figure out fights aside from maybe the first one every 4 and some extremes. But yeah if I could trade 4 people fromy static with people who knew it by heart I would obviously save a lot of time.
he have a full team of sellers / ultimates farmers, that's why he cleared so fast, just look at rin for exemple who have over 300 clears on each ultimates, alt included. not hard to clear with that kind of players in your team, especially on ucob or uwu when personnal mistake, unlike tea, doesn't lead to a teamwipe. it will be harder on TEA for sure ;)
Asmon was planning to do it with people who havent cleared ultimates yet, Rich cleared it with the best raiders in the game and a really good shot caller. So I don't think you should be praising Rich at all, Asmon is still better in every way possible, hes the literal god after all.

Rich's clear doesn't represent the effort you put into your ultimate. Despite what white-knighters will say Rich literally has world-class level group accompanying him at literally every step of the way.
