yeah i heard of them. the few female bands i'm really into right now are them, alunah and witch mountain of course, jex thoth, blues pills, christian mistress, windhand. obscure phinx is super dope. i also really like mortals, they're more death metal.
I've heard a little acid king. Kylesa, I don't know why, I haven't been able to get into then. But Blood Ceremony I dig. They're a little like Purson as well
These guys are great, I caught them at Bloodstock this year, not knowing what to expect and well I never thought I'd ever be into doom metal, but their deep, dark, atmospheric music put me into a euphoric state.
I like Alunah's new album: Awakening The Forest (bought it today). Great stuff I like to listen to if I am in the mood for something slower & different (usually I listen to bands like Motorhead, Death, Slayer etc.). Best wishes for you guys + Sophie. Thank you for the music! :)
I miss Sophie. Sian is great and I do appreciate the modern Alunah, but I always find myself drawn back to the albums they produced with Sophie as the singer.
Bethany McDavidson: bands to check out are Blood Ceremony, particularly their third cd The Eldritch Dark, and a band called Avatarium. these are both female fronted doom bands. Great stuff.

ikr, sometimes I'm listening to Napalm's videos at night on headphones at headbanging volumes, then songs finishes and that crap sends a dangerous amount of sound pressure right to the ear canal, seriously, get the levels right napalm.

ooohhh kaaayyy, we're starting to get just a little overrun with these faux-occult female fronted doom bands. They're starting to come out of the woodwork at a dime a dozen. This one is particularly yawn worthy.

SecretWeapon625 I agree. Pretty good hook when I wasn't really expecting one. Drummer is dragging the beat and the band down a little, but he picks it up where he needs to. Mix is a little hot vocally. Not bad though, I've went to other stoner bands with female leads and they didn't really deliver, but these guys do. I gotta say the good outweighs the bad!
