    Hi, I use Protex 3 16oz and I've just purchased Powerlock 16oz and the size difference between the two gloves is much the same as shown in your video between the two gloves. The Protex 3 is a great protective training glove and the Powerlock is much more compact and resembles a traditional sparring or contest glove more.

    I recommend people spend more than 50$ on a gloves at least...hands are priceless! Don't joke around your healthy hands! My first pair of gloves are Everlast 25$ one and I destroy my wrist and my knuckles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      I went Everlast 25$ > Hayabusa 80~110$ then eventually I end up with Winning gloves because of your channel :) Best honestly reviews! I also do not recommend people buy the USED gloves like Winning / Cleto / Grant. Even the outfit of gloves looks good. The padding inside might be all shitty! I do not believe gloves that can last 3+ years. The padding will wearout a lot faster than Leather(Fake or not)! And if the padding it's bad, the purpose of a value gloves it's not there anymore!

    I have been using a 12oz powerlock for a year now... i use it for mitts and heavy bag and i can say that the padding is terrible. Padding is almost non existent anymore. When i wear the gloves and press the knucle area with my thumb, i can feel that the padding is very thin and I can literrally feel my knuckles. Thats not good if youre punching a heavy bag. My knuckles have been bruised because of this glove for a year.
    Anyone reading, please reply to this comment on your experiences with powerlocks... im curious.

      Yes I agree I did this video and used they mainly for sparring but soon after I put the video up viewers did remark on the speed that the padding broke down especially on the bag there are definitely better gloves out there for the bag , here is my ratings card for the powerlock and as you can see durability score is way down www.fit2boxchannel.com/welterweight-velcro

      +Fit2Box Channel These gloves don't last for sparring too, and i must say that they are very dangerous for sparring because the foam in the knuckle area desintegrate after a couple of sparring sessions and you could get hurt or hurt someone because you can feell your knuckles and the skull of your sparring partner every time you land a punch

    I wouldn't recommend hitting the bag with these if you ever plan on sparring with them. I used them for bag work for only a couple of months and it completely ruined the padding to the point where if I sparred with them, my opponents could feel my knuckles through the glove when I hit them. It resulted in me breaking someones nose and had to immediately buy new gloves. If I ever bought those again I would use them strictly for sparring...

    • @AvantGardeStyle
      @AvantGardeStyle 8 років тому +1

      +Fit2Box Channel
      Yeah but in my experience these gloves get ruined even faster than other cheaper gloves on the bag. I think it's because those powerlocks come with an already broken in feel, which is good for sparring but gets even softer if you hit the bag with them.

      ***** it depends you can use 10oz on the heavy bag without wraps I did but it was with soft heavy bag not hard ones. If I use my winnings 10 oz without wraps on a soft heavy bag all day long it would hurt my knuckles a bit. But for hard heavy bags my knuckles will get hurt I can reduce that by punching normal and not too hard.

    • @HenryTheBoilermaker3rdYear
      @HenryTheBoilermaker3rdYear 8 років тому

      ***** I tried the 16 oz without wraps and it's very protective. Doesn't hurt my knuckles at all. Impact is like pillow I don't feel the other end. I don't know why you would need wraps for 16 oz or maybe your padding is getting worst.

      What you say about the stitches is not true, they are not well done and soon they begin to pull out and i say that because i bought two pairs of Everlast powerlock boxing gloves, one with laces to use only in sparring sessions and another pair with velcro to use in the heavybag, mitt work, etc. And I must say NEVERLAST products are poor quality products. Both pairs broke in the knuckle area, the foam simply disintegrated. I only use them for 4 months and with the laced gloves I only made 8 or 10 sparring sessions and they also broke, I chated with Everlast and they tell me that the warranty is only for 120 days that they can´t do anything because these were their policies. Then I realized that Everlast makes a glove that looks good, with atractive colors combinations, a glove that feels good and is comfortable, they do a lot of publicity and put the gloves at a price that makes you believe that they are good gloves and you are buying good stuff, and they attract you with discounts and offers that are a lie because at the end you are buying a piece of shit that is of poor quality and cheap materials, and what the company do is steal your money because they make sure that the gloves last the 120 warranted days and when they break and you complaints to the company the only thing they do is offer you discounts of more crappy products. I do not recommend these gloves or any NEVERLAST product because they are dangerous because you could hurt using them or hurt someone, I disassembled one of the gloves and I will make a video for you to see the foam after 4 months of use and the other pair I'll disarm while doing the video so you can see that what I say is true. Fit2box next time i would recommend you to use the things you reviewed because I spent $ 250 on two pairs of gloves that you recommended and turned out to be crap!

      bellongas1 did you upload a video of your review of these gloves? if so where can I find it cuz I would like to see it. I was looking to buy these gloves. really excited to buy them but a lot of people are saying not to. also did you buy the $50 ones or the $99 ones?

    • @bellongas1
      @bellongas1 7 років тому

      +Roland Canlas Hi i will do the review in two weeks aprox. because i'm ver y busy rigth now. I bougth the leather powerlocks. The first pair i bougth where $150 and in some weeks the price went down to $99 and i bougth the other pair. First i bougth the laced ones for sparring only and then i went for the velcro gloves for mitt, heavybag, etc, after 4 months of use the gloves justo desintegrated in the knuckles area. In the same period of time the leather started to decolorate and the gloves started to feel loose too. I would not recomend to buy these gloves they are a piece of shit. That brand have to change the name to NEVERLAST!!!

    You gotta compare apples to apples on this. While I agree with your review on this glove, you cannot compare the two gloves you compared to show the difference between a 14 and 16 ounce glove. The Powerlock 16 ounce is closer to the size of the glove you reviewed than the one you compared it to. I happen to own a pair of 16 oz Powerlocks...
