My mother and grandmother died from cancer. My grandfather died from suicide. I've lost friends, family, opportunities and experiences. I've lost jobs, money time and love. But I've always got back up. Every single fucking time I pick myself up. It sometimes takes me a while, but I always come back. Every single person is capable of so much more than they realize. I've got myself a successful career now where I'm incredibly integral for the business to run, I have lost 50lbs, I have got myself my first reliable car. You can fucking do it if I can.
Not me though, I've got thoracic scoliosis that gives me a permanent winged scapula in my dominant hand, that leaves me in perpetual pain which gets worse when I use my arm. With my affliction, my dreams of becoming an engineer and an artist burn. Some of us are truly are cursed to rot and fizzle out. I can only hope to take my life with my little palette box of watercolour paint, my choice of medium, in my pocket along with my favourite brush, so that hopefully wherever I end up after death I can once again make art.
