The « activity triangle » of the kitchen. You’re so right Curt, thanks for sharing
Thanks for tuning in... a kitchen is the soul!! 🚐🛠💙
Oooh, you are making me so hungry......looks so yummy!
☺️☺️☺️
Hey, guys. A very important thing for me: coffee maker. What are your thoughts/comments? I am talking about a normal coffee maker with filter, not a fancy one with capsules that may be difficult to find on the road. BTW, love the oven and the fridge, those are essentials for my future build. Saludos!
We are not coffee drinkers, so we do not have one, but you could easily install a slide out shelf in one of the cabinets under the counter top and just slide your coffee maker out in the morning and tuck it away when you are don! Thanks for tuning in!
"I like to keep things simple" you say, whilst having one of the best vans out their technically 😆🙌
Ha!! Point taken Becky!! 😺
lol, i'm really enjoying the series, but per my recent comment see @13:56 . It's not even grating anymore. I'm enjoying finding the smacking combos
Ha!! Your own to our master plan to draw you in and get you hooked!! LOL
When you travel the world I think you can easily upgrade some of the appliances, mainly because some items are readily more available and cheaper in other parts of the world. For example, the insta pot - you fairly can get any size that you want or of different capacity, from one person’s rice to 50 person’s rice. The issue with microwave vs oven can also easily be solved - just get a microwave oven (a combination of both) which is quite popular appliance in Asia (power wise, I don’t know if this combo drains more power). The only problem you might run into is the different plug 🔌 system these appliances have. Either change the plug or use a converter. Hope this would give an idea to the community too that appliances can be acquired and collected along the way.
Good advice... thanks for sharing!
Good solid advice, one caution though, if your fridge breaks down abroad can you get a replacement?
Would be super easy in Europe... every where else, I’m sure we would have to jump thru some hoops! Fingers crossed she lasts until Europe! Lol
Curt thank you thank you for your videos. They are very helpful. I just wanted to mention something tiny I noticed when you are sharing and that is that you sometimes smack your lips when talking. I know I am silly for mention it but I thought you might want to know.
Thanks for the feedback... He's noticed it as well... We will see what we can do. Glad you enjoy the videos.
Where did you get the refrigerator ?
It was a pain to get, but so worth it! Go to norco.com and find a distributor close to you. They have to order it for you. Sorry we can't be more help!
You guys are really important to the cutting edge of this community. I appreciate every minute you spend on us and wish you sunny days, happy travels, and lots of fresh fruit soon!
Those are some super kind words!!! ThNk YOI for tuning in and watching our videos!
Instant pot duo mini is 700 watts WHEN it is on, which is very little, if at all after it pressurizes it isn't using power, so cooks with way less power than rated for. My favorite appliance is my 5 cu ft chest freezer (in my 23' van), in combination with the instant pot or microwave, it is easy to have food for weeks on hand, we are off grid for at least a month at a time. (running on 1280 watts solar, 2000-watt inverter, 300 ah lithium)
Sounds like an amazing set up!! Happy travels and thanks for watching!
Hi curt and snow ... I just wanted to let you know ...we appreciate all that you do ... love this Vid ... hope you guys are felling much better . Same travels
Thanks Sabrina!!! We are feeling a ton better. Thanks for tuning in.

Most informative Curt, thanks!. Re: the blender ... have you seen the portables that are charged in a USB port? Apparently they do a great job on smoothies.
🍁👵❤🐕🇨🇦
We cook everything with our Thermomix . It takes space but it’s 12 appliances in one and we run it from the inverter
Just googled it... looks pretty interesting!!
I would love to see a video on all the spare parts you keep on hand. I hear your talk about spare parts. show us what parts and what they are far. just a thought :) thanks for all your videos

Hey Curt, I would like to full time in my RV, with a cat. I want to get a male Bengal kitten and go on the road with him. Here is what is stopping me. I have a fairly new motorhome and I don't want a cat to destroy my RV furniture by clawing it up. How do you travel with your cats and not have them destroy your furniture? I won't declaw my cat. Please tell me how you prevent this destruction from your cats claws.
Ron, we don’t have the silver bullet on this one. We purposely don’t have leather or similar for the clawing reason. Cats like to stretch and sharpen their claws and I sooo glad to hear you would not have them declawed. If you already have let her or like furniture you could try a scratching post and trim their claws regularly. You can somewhat train them to scratch a post, but you still taking a risk😼
A fluffy sheepskin blanket my cat uses to scratch on, otherwise, he does all his scratching outside. Stay in the US, some places, possibly inside the US, too, see Bengals as wild animals. Carry papers for F4 or higher to not have problems in some locales. Cats who are not overly active travel much better, as do cats who grew up in small spaces.
Do you have any video showing how you built the screen door?
No we do not, it was three solid days of trial and error in a wood shop. We did not film it or take pictures... so, not sure we could put a video together. Sorry!
Never cook in your rig during summer.
We do it all of the time... but, we have enough solar to run AC, so that helps us for sure!
Hey curt I don’t see the fridge listed. Where would I find it? Or did I miss something.
You have to get it from a dealer 😌😌😌 go to the norcold website and find a few dealers near you... They will likely need to order it for you.
@@SnowAndCurt thanks I found it in another one of your vlogs with snow and her pride and joy. LOL. I’m like minded. Cheers
I like your idea of avoiding propane, I’m on the same idea. Maybe I’ll go with diesel cook top, I’m afraid the induction will need a lot of electrical power...
I looked hard at a diesel cooker and opted out for two reasons. 1) reviews said it takes a while to heat up and is a bit noisy, so the reviews made me nervous 2) they are super expensive. The induction really isn’t too bad on power, the oven however is a hog.
Hi Curt we just watched the kitchen appliance video and we are wondering what energy source is your fridge? Also what kind of fridge? Thanks great videos!

🍻
Great info! Thank you. We are planning to avoid propane as well. I've got an induction cooktop on my Amazon wish list right now. :)
We love our cooktop!
Lots of great information and advice. Ty!! But I think the "um's and ah" have it.
Lol..... ummmmm.... not sure what you mean!!! Ah!! 😂
We make toast in our air fryer....we use the oven very little we use the air fryer for a lot of stuff
Nice!!
Totally agree 100% Kitchen is the soul. No propane!
Thanks Trish Page... Cheers!
I absolutely love your kitchen layout and appliances (and actually your entire conversion). I love the way the fridge feels more residential. I plan to do a build using a Dodge Promaster 3500 extended. Would you recommend the fridge you guys own or another that might fit a Promaster better?
We love our fridge. One thing that's nice about it, is that you can install it higher in the van because the back of the fridge is curved a bit... Meaning it works nicely with a sprinter because they get narrower at the top. In a promaster, you don't need that, but, it might help with being able to run conduit I'm the gap that would exist?? Or... Check to see if they have a similar model that doesn't curve in the back... You might gain an inch or two of freezer space! Thanks for the kind words!!
@@SnowAndCurt Thanks for the quick reply. I found the NA7LXR but someone complained that when defrosting occurs, it creates a small puddle of water in the bottom of the fridge. Does your Norcold do this?
Can you share a link to the fridge you have?
It is a Norcold N1090... cannot find it online, you have to go to Norcolds website to find a dealer close to you. We had to have one shipped to us... it was a pain, ut worth it! It is a great fridge that can be mounted higher up because the back of the fridge is curved to match the curve inside of most vans. Hope that helps!
@@SnowAndCurt thank you!
Please post a link to the fridge
