This I totally agree with. I see those things kind of regularly around the D1 rank and just below. People start to have decent ground control in those scenarios.
Yes, some lowranks can make those plays, but make mistakes in other areas of the game or are less skilled in another part. All skills balanced towards the ranks. Leth usually does not make mistakes (he is trying to teach us how it should be done). Meaning these plays will balance him out above the rank he is playing in

You dont ever lose a 50 and are always just quick enough to prevent a 50 if you think you should during this series. Perhaps you could show us more about correct and wrong ways to enter a 50? And also how to recover from your own mistakes, as those not at SSL make a lot of them. Thanks and KUTGW.
One problem I know I have and I'm sure others have as well, in 2s you need a lot of trust in your tm8 as well and sometimes you just don't have that trust and can't build it.
I have a fun idea for a series; how high up the rankings can you get without scoring any goals? Ps. This might be really random to add but I got an midroll ad for Manscaped about 17mins in that had the exact same music as your video lol, I thought I was tripping balls for a second there
As a plat 3/diamond 1 this describes my games pretty well, im pretty comfortable going off the wall and in the air, but just not figured out advanced air mechanics. Can half flip and speed flip just inconsistent at times
Watch the Road to SSL from flakes. You don't need advanced mechanics ro improve. Especially in your Rank. Leths Videos are another proof. No need for crazy areals, Speed flicks Double flipresets.
Hey Leth, feedback, I've noticed that you do something that most people at the lower ranks don't/can't do. You always land on your wheels. What I mean is that you're always landing flat and conserving momentum. Most players, even into diamond or low champ, lose momentum because they don't readjust their car position in the air. It's probably automatic for you but it's one of those little things that makes a big difference in timing that makes what you show "seem" easier than it actually is.
That play at 15:50 is right on the bubble for me at high gold so I think you're fine making that shot. Of course, "On the bubble" means I really have to be in my groove to even make the attempt, so feel free to shoot me down, I certainly can't defend the statement most of the time.
The redirect in the plat 2v2 was definitely doable by a plat player. The catch, flick, and shot to send it into overtime is like once in 200 for that level
Platinum is really surprising in the 1s comp playlist. I'm a high diamond player recently pushing into C1 in doubles and I was curious what my rank in 1s would be like after not playing it for a decade... I IMMEDIATELY noticed Plat 3 players in 1s had AT LEAST the mechanical skill of low champ players. I lost my first 3 placement games and in game 4, I went up against a dude air-dribble-flip resetting every possession... wild playlist and definitely not for non-mechanical players like myself haha
Was just watching an old escape room vids and the car got a flashlight attached to it would be cool if you played the game in pitch black but instead of picking up boost you pick up charge for flashlight
Leth I think losing every now and then is not terrible. It cuts your elo gain down a little and provides an opportunity to give more tips to those struggling in the rank your in. Could you also provides tips on what we should be working on simple mechanics to get better. i.e how to position on the walls
thanks for another great episode Leth! you are at my current rank in 2s and g59emmett reminded me of my own play style in all the wrong ways lmao... but i think it was a good opportunity to talk about when to challenge and when to stay back because reading offense seems to be whats keeping me P3/D1. I hope you can discuss that more in the next video :)
As a consistent plat3 diamond player, I be hitting controlled plays like that too but they’re inconsistent so I say it’s fine to hit a controlled play like that. It does happen
When you said it was too controlled I have to say this. If you are like a evolving player slowly climbing from platinium at the end of the rank more controll is bound to be present. Otherwise you wouldnt get up in ranks. I like that you give hints how you can improve in ranks but its also about that you are going to get bettee than others. So if you have skills from the top rank of each rank once in game i know its so normal in games. At least myself in champ 1s all the time get suprised on those rare moments when someone peaks with higher rank shot. Much love and hope you are doing good
Lmao that last play game! robin Leth he steals from the people who deserve the mmr and gives it to the ones who absolutely don’t. Feel bad for his next team mate too.
the logic on the lower rank early forfeit, is that, because you know how to play, therefore you let them play and you don't go for the ball, now you're not doing anything, so because you don't do anything they have to do everything, and you are pretty much useless on the field, the just ff but actually they don't realize that it's not you but them, as per usual players tend to blame teammates
Hey leth, im usually a casual player but I recently got into ranked to grind a bit and I was wondering how you got d1 after 2 games when it took me like 50 despite me winning 90% of the games. Also, I found out that plat players can either be decent or the worst player of all time so you need to carry sometimes. Love the content keep it up❤❤
At 19:05 ish, your teammate promising passed the ball then stayed in the play. Was that "cutting the rotation"? Always was a confusing scenario for me, personally. Especially in 3v3.
It’s understandable to score the goal to go to ot. You want to advance in rank to go through them. No point in losing and going over the same rank twice. No qualms about using a bit of higher level skills.
tbh that whole plat gamee was valid. thats kinda all the shots i can hit and im also pretty good on the wall so you couldve gone for some of those wall hits and still be playing like a plat
I'm Plat II in 2v2 and 1 in 4 players are speed flipping kickoffs! Where are you finding these lobbies? Although I do see ALL the ballchasing! So that was right
Most plats that think they are speed flipping aren’t actually doing it. It may resemble a speed flip but most of the time it isn’t. The majority of plat lobbies look the same from the perspective of someone at a higher rank.
Fair comment, but they are players side/diagonal flipping and boosting through it, even if it's not a true speed flip, it's a lot quicker than a regular kickoff. Of limited use in 2s, but still shows a level of input control. Side thought: I really wish Leth had lost the OT game, I feel that there's a big chunk of players in the Plat III/Diamond I/II bubble that would love to see a few episodes in that rank. In theory 50% of the player base is in that window, the vocal minority might want Champ + games, but that's not where most of the casual players (and smurfs) are.
Could you get 5 pro players along with yourself and do a pov of what positioning a player should have? Maybe run different scenarios. I think this would help the RL community greatly

Kaydrop: kaydop but infused into a water droplet Lol
this might be the best rocket league series i have come across
I really enjoy these "Road To..." Series of videos. I think about what my play would be like in these videos and wonder what you would say if we were teamed up. It's helpful to hear your thoughts. Keep up the good work!
I have plats scoring flicks with a second touch on me pretty frequently, it wasn't that crazy to go for at this rank
Another great video Leth, looking forward to the next one. I've been hard stuck dimond for a while and can't wait to hear your opinion on how to play through the rank.
Leth I really like seeing you play like a plat. I learn a lot from it
“Oh know zero seconds and we are down” *flick to soft touch*=net
I’ve actually laughed so hard about how bad you felt scoring that tie goal in the 2nd game 😂 I’m curious what you will do when you are facing a Smurf, hope you clip em 😂 love the vids, keep up the amazing work!
23:10 this is my favorite play to watch😂
Have you done Rapid on rapids, like Rapid in a kayak?
I’m with this one
I think “musty” mixed with “rusteez” from cars would be hilarious!! Musteez!!!
I think its ok to do that kind of play at 15:32, there are some low rank players that are good at air dribbles, redirects, flicks.

Diamonds need to focus on their positioning. Most of the issues down there are the fact they make it so difficult on themselves and their team-mates. The game is way easier when you position right. @@Alakazam024
@@yannickbaken4831the other thing too is that I would hate to play with lethamyr (playing as a plat). He would be so confusing to play with, simply because he’s trying too hard not to take over the game. But bc of that I never know if he’s going or if I need to. I understand, he’s SSL, but when he tries to match playstyle with plats, it’s just not quite plat playstyle. Not to knock leth for doing it, obviously, but like, still frustrating to watch lol

This is all very helpful stuff and i hope to learn more when you go through my rank. I would like to give 1 part of feedback: your 50's and baiting 50's are impeccable. You dont ever lose a 50 and are always just quick enough to prevent a 50 if you think you should during this series. Perhaps you could show us more about correct and wrong ways to enter a 50? And also how to recover from your own mistakes, as those not at SSL make a lot of them. Thanks and KUTGW.
you see the boost right that help
15:51, I'm a hardstuck plat 1 and I've made a play like that before, you're good.
JNaps - Jknaps asleep.
VioletPanda - A purple panda.
One problem I know I have and I'm sure others have as well, in 2s you need a lot of trust in your tm8 as well and sometimes you just don't have that trust and can't build it.
Love this series, definitely helps us peons learn what to do situationally
I have a fun idea for a series; how high up the rankings can you get without scoring any goals?
Ps. This might be really random to add but I got an midroll ad for Manscaped about 17mins in that had the exact same music as your video lol, I thought I was tripping balls for a second there
Lethamyr might just be the worlds best plat player
As a plat 3/diamond 1 this describes my games pretty well, im pretty comfortable going off the wall and in the air, but just not figured out advanced air mechanics. Can half flip and speed flip just inconsistent at times
Watch the Road to SSL from flakes. You don't need advanced mechanics ro improve. Especially in your Rank. Leths Videos are another proof. No need for crazy areals, Speed flicks Double flipresets.
It's like wat hinges a dad play ball with his kids. Taking it easy, but sometimes ya gotta dunk on em😅
btw, content-aware fill isn't AI-powered, it's been around for a while now. the button called "Generative Fill" is the new AI feature.
Yeah smerfing is kool👍🏼
More games per video! (Keep it up leth youre amazing!)
Flitz - doing the splitz!
I was excited to watch this to learn since I’m low diamond in twos then I watched your teammates game play and realized I’m never gonna rank up
Plats: How to play with plat chasing teammates?
Leth: Play better.
😂
So exciting for the champ Ranks. Hope to learn something to improve.
Lethal_myr. So you put yourself in a Lethal company suit with the fear of monster written on your face XD
15:15 Leth had ENOUGH 😆
I honestly clicked on this video thinking he was gonna prank his friends by making it so they could only see the ball😂.
Meme of the day: “Petals” (Retals as a flower).
Was just watching an old escape room vids and the car got a flashlight attached to it would be cool if you played the game in pitch black but instead of picking up boost you pick up charge for flashlight
MagicBear (Majicbear's head in a floating wizard bear)
my champ teammates need this video
I love these episodes so make Them longer!!!!😄😄
Now thinking about it, with 2v2 and 3v3 being many ranks difference, it has to be very hard to switch playstyles every time
That controlled goal 15:53 wasn't too much at all, that's the type of stuff I see in my Plat matches
Rizzoto? Like risotto but Rizzo. Or even Rizzo Toe would be hilarious.
4 Matches by episode would be amazing
How about Retals Rentals? It would be Retals in a Blockbuster uniform behind the counter.
Lethmyr as a mayor
As a consistent plat3 diamond player, I be hitting controlled plays like that too but they’re inconsistent so I say it’s fine to hit a controlled play like that. It does happen
It's only in the right audio channel though, maybe some compression setting?
When you said it was too controlled I have to say this. If you are like a evolving player slowly climbing from platinium at the end of the rank more controll is bound to be present. Otherwise you wouldnt get up in ranks. I like that you give hints how you can improve in ranks but its also about that you are going to get bettee than others. So if you have skills from the top rank of each rank once in game i know its so normal in games. At least myself in champ 1s all the time get suprised on those rare moments when someone peaks with higher rank shot. Much love and hope you are doing good
LethaFear - leth and Fear two headed beast!
what servers are you playing in? lol these opponents looks like a cakewalk compared to the Plats that i have to face on a match to match basis
What about CRR as “sea-arr-arr”. Get a pic of CRR and blend it with a pirate hat and an eyepatch? 😂
Lmao that last play game! robin Leth he steals from the people who deserve the mmr and gives it to the ones who absolutely don’t. Feel bad for his next team mate too.
the logic on the lower rank early forfeit, is that, because you know how to play, therefore you let them play and you don't go for the ball, now you're not doing anything, so because you don't do anything they have to do everything, and you are pretty much useless on the field, the just ff
but actually they don't realize that it's not you but them, as per usual players tend to blame teammates
the story in that 2nd game, man
💀 This is not plat 3. This is like from gold 3 to plat 1 skill level.
“RIZZ”O wink wink

It’s understandable to score the goal to go to ot. You want to advance in rank to go through them. No point in losing and going over the same rank twice. No qualms about using a bit of higher level skills.
Jamaican coconut as a coconut tree in Jamaica
tbh that whole plat gamee was valid. thats kinda all the shots i can hit and im also pretty good on the wall so you couldve gone for some of those wall hits and still be playing like a plat
does this audio have like a little bumb whene ever leth say (B) or its just my headset?
“Theyre going to be sniffing your butt. Which is a problem” -Leth 2024
Could you get 5 pro players along with yourself and do a pov of what positioning a player should have? Maybe run different scenarios. I think this would help the RL community greatly
That last goal to tie the game is 100% plat caliber. Not consistently, but it happens quite a bit
Meme idea: AFKAyyjayy; Ayyjayy asleep at his computer
4-5 matches per video would be excellent if u can manage it leth plus you can fit in more 3v3 games as they're kinda lacking behind
