@@BrooklynZ00I don't know about that. Volpe's arm does not seem as strong to me, but he does seem more agile in the field. He may have more power potential but we'll see if that only happens at the cost of his consistency like last year.

@@vEn0mWoRLD i respect that, he did a lot for the Yankees organization but he got so much hatred to the fact he was being traded away from NY …he accused Joe Torre (skipper at the time) for being traded away because “Joe Torre was a racist” I’m just saying he pulled a card that wasn’t true and didn’t sit right so when he came up to bat he was being called everything under the sun…yes even being called a racist himself. You know that people love to hate people …I commend the man but at that time it was just a bunch of BS

Soto and Volpe gonna have a Dave Winfield and Don Mattingly type battle this season hopefully. Old school yank fans know what I'm talking about. Love having guys who are more then just one dimensional power hitters now. Absolutely was what our offense has lacked most of the time...the last 15 to 20yrs.
Yup Soto is exactly what the Yankees line up lacked for about a decade. A lefty middle of the order hitter that gets in base on a high clip that doesn't strike out a lot and hits with runners in base . Cashman thought elsbury, Hicks were the the answer but that not it lol
@@joel8692 yeah....more importantly....come playoff time....u need a mix of one dimensional power hitters...with guys who hit for avg and get on base...because the pitching is almost always very good in the postseason. The yanks time and time again feast on sub par pitching.....and get to the playoffs...and eventually they have a series they barley get on base and get knocked out. With Soto...Volpe....Verdugo...Torres....and Judge... and maybe Lemahieu....we should be able to get some stuff going against playoff caliber pitching.
Volpe is on fire, and, Stanton has been really good this year, thus far, as well.👌

Like I said after yesterday's game..
VOLPE really feels like the next closest thing to Derek Jeter the yanks have had since the hall of famer retired.
Judge is great but Volpe is more Jeter like for his position....ability to steal some bags....and most likely ability to hit for consistent batting avg going forward.
Bottomline...Cashman really did well in the draft with Judge and Volpe.
I pray this team can go all the way. 2022 and 2023 we got off to good starts and collapsed at the end. Can’t let that happen again

It’s not the same team at all lol. Lost Soler, worst run difference of any team that made the playoffs ever at like -53, and the redeeming quality of last year was the pitching. All the pitchers are injured now.
