When you have been on the roller coaster weight train, you always question whether the weight will stay off. 💗💗💗The LV denim jacket, you will be able to style that many ways☺….to answer your question….from my perspective as a former model, to begin with, all clothing, esp. today must be tried on, due to the various sizing depending on the designer, the make, the materials etc. As a model who was expected to be at a certain weight, my height also played a part in the couture of the clothing that was fitted to me, as well as my body type with my smaller waist , where as other models who had more straightened no waist torsos. Thus dear Meredith, try not to focus on the ‘size’ of clothing but the fit☺🙏🏼💖💖💖

I have been always overweight and I do the same. My friend told me not to buy bigger clothes because it attracts negative energy and I would eventually follow that size.

As a male who’s struggled with his weight most of his life. I always go for bigger clothes. When I had lost about 60 pounds I was still shopping in the “bigger” section. You’re not alone.

Love your two items and yes I too buy oversized clothes thinking they’ll fit better. I’m a size USA 18 and it’s hard to find my size in clothes so when I do I struggle with which size to get. Take care have fun in nyc too.

I’m always concerned about stuff shrinking in the wash do that’s usually why i would size up if the material seemed like it may. I usually stick to the same brands and know my size and what fits properly so it takes out the guesswork

I always second guess myself as well on size, but I feel that unless the jacket is uncomfortable at the smaller size, I chose the smaller size, feeling that a more fitted look. looks more pulled together. You are gorgeous, can't wait to see you in this jacket!!

I don’t know if it’s just women who have had concerns about their weight or if it’s because (like me growing up) we were not well-to-do financially; my mother would buy us slightly larger shoes and other clothing so that we could wear them for longer as we grew. I have been overweight for most of my life, so I generally buy clothes the same size even when my weight fluctuates (which isn’t often so…). I love that denim jacket, Meredith and I would love to get one, but, jackets are where I mostly have trouble sizing because of my arms. The necklace is really cool, too. Yay, New York!

Yeah, it takes a while for the head to catch up to the body after significant weight loss. Love the hidden pockets. Cute jacket. I’ve been all sizes and on the large side now, but never felt pressure from anyone to look a particular way. Maybe I don’t care enough 😂. Have a fab time in NY!

I have gotten rid of larger clothing that I loved and later regretted it. But I think now that I will stay close to my current size.
One thing I will say is that clothing is cut larger now for a particular size than it was 20 years ago.
I am a 6 petite in current clothing but if I shop vintage clothing from 20 years ago, I’m an 8 petite. If I go back even more years the clothing is even smaller!
Having watched Kara’s videos, I have been quite impressed by Dior denim. And definitely Celine denim is my vibe.

For me personally I’ve never been overweight and I’ve never had a weight issue and I have always gone up a size because I like comfort and I think the worst luck on anyone is to have something too tight so I think it might be possibly a woman thing maybe not all womenbut probably a lot and I’m sure weight factors in to it a lot with women as well but again for me it is I like myself to be comfortable and never too tight, so I tend to go up one size

The thinking you're bigger than what you are IS a thing. I forget what it's called but yes, everyone goes thru it. At least if they are honest with themselves. I use to be fit. When I gained weight I kept thinking I was fit. Now, that I've been overweight for so long and I am starting to lose weight, I keep thinking I am bigger than what I am. It's a vicious cycle and it sucks.

Not at all. I went from a size 16 to a size 8 (or size medium). I still look in the mirror sometimes and see that 212lb woman. My 20 y/o son said he’d always seen me as a bigger woman. My eldest doesn’t remember me being smaller either. I have even caught myself looking at large/x-large clothing. It’s been four years, and it’s STILL in my head.
