the show is OVER without him
Wrong !
It's been over. Last season was awful
The show is dead. He’s gone and it’s gotten stale.
@@Staymad91 The show has absolutely jumped the shark and I think that happened before last season.
Absolutely... but seasons 1-4 will live forever...
"I've burnt my ships". There is the Kevin Costner quote of the year.
Kevin, enjoy life! We'll miss you in Yellowstone, but we'll be watching Horizon!
No you won’t.
Horizon was SO bad…
Speak for yourself.
Going to miss you on Yellowstone Mr. Costner! Blessings on your future endeavors. Love all your movie's
Love Yellowstone. Loved his character. Even fans never know when Taylor is dropping a season. Its frustrating as a fan. So i do not blame Kevin for wanting more of an organized flow and schedule. I really like his movies so I am down with his decision.
Cool 1923 is better
@@TheUnseen0n3 yes love 1923. Great series.
@@TheUnseen0n3 1923 is very good. Can't wait for Sheridan to put out Season 2 in 2029.
You are so right there's so many articles that are coming out now that it was Taylor Sheridan's fault how can I work with something that I have no script to work on Taylor sheraton's fault was not Kevin. We also have to remember there was a writer strike for a year and a half how did Taylor Sheridan get part of his script written he doesn't do it all himself he realized on others to do it for him so the bomb that has happened Taylor Sheridan's fault not Kevin there are more articles coming out about what happened that was Taylor Sheridan's way of not having the scripts ready on time for Kevin and the schedule so let's stick with Kevin please because he's telling the truth. And if you know anything about him he said so so I believe it also hurt his feelings at the same time
@@StefenTower Hahaha
To be fair they had all those strikes last year, but yeah... would have been nice to have had it by now.
It's a lot of talent to lineup and get in sync, especially while you have your hands in 40 other shows.
Wish he would stay, love Yellowstone. But I don’t blame him. Taylor started so many projects that it feels like he just left people waiting around. These are working actors with Costner being the biggest from Yellowstone who wants to work.
More like Taylor already had this previously planned out til Kevin held everything up but ignore that I guess.
@@TheUnseen0n3 yea I don’t buy that. That’s way too many moving parts. He’s good but come on
Taylor kept doing these "mid season" breaks in order to make more money for himself and for Paramount. They just kept stringing these seasons out for a full year or more, even though they were still only 10 episodes. Once they started the mid season breaks, the show was over.
@@22Bodhiwhile these projects were going on so was Yellowstone. It was the other projects. It’s on Kevin not Taylor.
People can get mad, but his explanation about why he left makes perfect sense. He's a movie actor who likes to work and since Yellowstone started this "mid season" break nonsense (to make more money), there schedule has been all over the place and I can see that preventing him from working on other projects.
Horizon Pt.1 is great! Can't wait for Pt 2 and 3!
Taylor Sheridan wrote a massive hit and then decided to gamble on 50 others. Costner had to move on; Yellowstone was no longer a priority for Sheridan.
Wrong - Costner was giving unrealistic/impossible demands on the shooting timelines, bro told Sheridan he could only devote ONE WEEK to film his Yellowstone scenes - Sheridan is not to blame for Costner’e departure from the show, that’s completely on Costner since he started acting like a Hollywood diva - karma got him though, he tried making his own western movie and absolutely flopped
@@OneChubb all his movies flopped at the time except dances with wolves. They usually end up appreciated later on though. as long as he doesn't care too much about critics he will be fine. Critics declared him over in the 90s with "Costnergate" (the postman). Hes made quite a few great movies since (open range, Mr brooks) I loved Horizon personally.
Yellowstone has been a gift. Thanks for your incredible talents, vision…and always, great acting Kevin.
Respect for his clarity & vision, however it works out.
Sounds like he got tired of waiting while Taylor was working on 10 other spinoff shows or whatever it was.
Do Whatever makes you happy, Kevin. It's your life, your decisions 😅
Yellowstone went the fast and furious route basically after season 2 and went wildly silly lol
Show has been dragging out the past few seasons. Should have ended it a long time ago. I have zero interest in a new season
Exactly. The show was basically over after Danny Huston's character was killed off.
Yup. The amount of deaths and no one is in jail or even arrested is crazy. They are like the mob on horses
It was extremely cheesy after season 1
@@seashackf1😂😂
Love the westerns you do Kevin ❤
I love Kevin Costner, a living legend, and obviously a man of integrity and principles.
I get it. Taylor did have a LOT other projects going on, and Yellowstone had stated to veer off course by season four anyway. That said, looking forward to seeing Horizon.
Blame Taylor Sheridan for taking too long writing Yellowstone scripts.
Sorry he likes doing a good job u like Costner
@@TheUnseen0n3 if only he did a good job. You can’t argue the fact that the quality has gone down which coincided with the increasing workload he put himself on.
@@cruman87it’s become woke political girl boss TRASH.

@@b.pack3 Lol. Why, bc there was a lesbian kissing scene for like 3 seconds? haha

Our economy is afflicted by uncertainty, housing troubles, foreclosures, global shifts, and the aftermath of the epidemic, all of which contribute to instability. To restore stability and drive growth, all sectors must urgently address rising inflation, slowing GDP, and trade disruptions.
The US dollar is losing value due to inflation, while other currencies are gaining strength, creating uncertainty. Nonetheless, many people remain confident in the Dollar's perceived safety. Respect! Horizon will be epic
I'm going Sunday with my wife to see Horizon. Haven't been to movies in awhile but it looks promising!
Open Range was his best movie.
That was a great movie with Robert Duvall... I've seen it a bunch of times..
Great movie! I agree with robert those 2 were something else.
Good film, but for me it will always be Dances with Wolves
@@justadudeintheworldman.120 yep that was a great one too also here is a line Dad you want to have a catch you know the movie...
@@Robert-qh2jp Field of Dreams, good too.
Kevin you are such an amazing Man! I listen to your voice and just love you even more! I’m really looking forward to Horizon!
I can’t wait!!!!!!
Meh, Yellowstone jumped the shark in like season 3. Just got too outside of any possible reality. Gigantic shootouts where they all get away with it, etc.
And Beth surviving that explosion and only getting burned on her back lol. In reality, all they would've found of her is pieces. And Taylor Sheridan started putting too many irons in the fire with other spinoffs. And as a result of this, the writing for Yellowstone suffered. I didn't even finish watching season 4 because the writing got so mundane.
I love westerns and these horizon movies could be some of the greatest westerns ever made. 🥳🥳🥳
Yellowstone jumped the shark after the attacks and the explosion in the building
Nah, it's heightened reality, that's what's great about that show.
Can't wait to watch Horizon. What a great actor and great man. It's too bad Sheridan had to let his ego get in the way because Yellowstone is nothing without Costner.
Kevin is the one with the inflated ego
Let's just say that it's a profession that demands a higher amount of ego, and stubbornness to actually get these projects done. Not for the timid. Sheridan probably thought that Costner wouldn't bail on him. He was mistaken...
@@garyspence2128to be fair Sheridan has to many projects going on right now. He has like 4-5 shows out. Hard to get seasons out fast when you are writing for 5 current on air projects and Costner didn’t want to wait years at a time between seasons.
Love your music and the movies your voice is amazing
So basically Kevin said, "Keep the SAME schedule as the first four seasons, because I have other stuff I want to do." Taylor said, "no". So Kevin had to walk away. I think Taylor thought Kevin would not leave and tried to call his bluff and well, Kevin called it.
What bluff, Yellowstone will carry on and Costner will be bankrupt making CGI schlock,
@@DaLlAs-k29-abFTxmUI51 Yellowstone turned to crap years ago, and it's not Costner's fault. Sheridan spread the franchise thin and the quality dropped on the original show.
Exactly right Daryl! Sheridan killed this great show and he expected other people to sit around waiting for him to write. A true knucklehead who’s crashing because of ego.
I seen horizon and was the only one at the show in the theater day it released
i love Taylor sheridan, but Yellowstone was a 3-4 season show at most but he dragged it out too long. we all saw this coming and Taylor should have taken steps and ended it properly a year ago.
Ego and greed will kill it good! Taylor has let his ego kill this great show and I think it’s happening on Tulsa also with Stallone. False pride and ego!
You go Costner ❤
I guess the'll just say he's off in Helena being Governor while the last bunch of episodes focuses more on what's going on at the ranch.
This is what true artists do. It's hard to focus on more than one encompassing project. You have to abandon the safe path and take the hard road.
Sounds like Kevin was willing to stay on but wanted a long term and stable commitment from the Producers and the network in regards to scheduling so he could do his project as well. That doesn't sound unreasonable. At the same time, I think when he signed on he didn't think the show would be as popular as it became and wasn't going to be renewed for 5+ seasons and counting. ✌🏾✌🏾
I heard him say he waited on Yellowstone for 14 months... waiting on scripts, waiting on film dates, but nothing. I dont blame him, he wanted to shoot his own series of westerns. He was willing to do both, but he needed firm times to coordinate.
Bummer for us as Yellowstone fans. But excited for this movie though.
Yellowstone had such potential with good actors and scenery but the characters were all unlikable and storylines unbelievable. But I still look forward to whatever Kevin Costner makes next.
Beth gets on my nerves a lot
Explaining John Dutton's sudden absence will be really tricky. I wonder if they pulled a Darren and recast. Not the worst idea if cast well.
Let's all support Kevin's new movie.
Should have asked him why he left his wife.
She left him, and wanted all his money
season 5 was a huge step down though.
Taylor Sheridan has become a cancer to his own shows. You could say it's a fluke with just Costner but now... with Tulsa King and Stallone too? Hes a clown.
I don't think Taylor had much of a hand in the creative on Tulsa King. And yes, it was goofy. I believe they got rid of the showrunner though, so season 2 should be different.
AAAAMMMMMOO SEU TRABALHO, AAMMMMOOO TUDO QUE VOCÊ FAZ, PORQUE VOCÊ FAZ COM AMOR, COM PAIXÃO, VOU AAMMAR HORIZON ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's too bad they couldn't accommodate the lead character of Yellowstone just a bit after Kevin gave 4 Seasons! No loyalty whatsoever shame on Taylor.
I really love him. I enjoy his moves ,I like his style. He is one my favourites.
I was hyped about horizon.
But it was a mess.
Never had the time to get in touch with the characters. Some stories dragged too long while other stories had little time.
I truly believe that they messed up the editing.
Will miss you as john dutton but it is your life
What's up with them shoes Kevin. 🤣😂
BIIIIIIG MIstake from Kevin
Yellowstone brouht him back as much as He made Yellowstone awesome!
BIG fknnn Mistake damn
Just friggin weird. Kevin has always been a pain in the butt.
So he’s a pain in the butt? He told them when he was available for Yellowstone shooting. They agreed on a time. He took a break from “Horizon” to shoot his parts on Yellowstone, they weren’t ready. He couldn’t wait all year to get a call “Hey, Kevin, we’re ready to shoot now.” Because he was making his movie. That’s on Taylor Sheridan not him.
@@jasonaverybingo. Paramount and Sheridan were the ones acting unprofessional. But yeh, blame Kevin for not giving us a few more scenes in a show way past its “sell by” date.
Sheridan got greedy, started too many other projects
Horizon is fantastic.
“I wanted to make a dogshit movie that should have been a tv show.”
You the executive producer! How do you not know! 🤨
Horizon was fantastic
I love Yellowstone and it sucks. But Horizon part 1 was my favorite western since Open Range, 1883, and Appaloosa. I'll be there day one for parts two, 3, and the possible 4th
Why not finish the season or do a final episode
BC Yellowstone hasn't been able to stay on schedule, and he can't just stop his whole life and wait around forever. That's Kevin's side anyway.
@@BlueGorillaInTheMist no. He repeatedly delayed production over arguments with Sheridan. Now he is spinning. Had nothing to do with conflicts. He left in the middle of a season when production was already scheduled.
@@Roger-il8iw So scripts and production were always 100% on time as scheduled?
Mucking horse stalls is oodles of fun & you get paid!
That is a win win.
He killed his show . Yellowstone was his show
I don't even remember the storyline. I no longer care if the show returns.
Did you say you sold it to an side concern and not to an American company or American person?
They were filming Taylor Sheridans new one "Landman" with Billy Bob on my brothers street.
Kevin Costner plz don’t leave Yellowstone
Sucks Kevin is done w Yellowstone. Such an amazing actor and completely born 150 years too late. Enjoy all your stuff and looking forward to seeing Horizon.
I love you as a man not what you have
Which*
Great work Kevin ❤Ed Yellow Stone bummed 🫤 but understand! I think in your past life you were a real Cowboy 🤠 love and respect you
I really wanted to love this new movie but it was bad. The first half is so slow that I fell asleep a few times. I love westerns so I will see the other three but this one is not good.
Didn't know he left and didn't know they were still making it
You should’ve given the Yellowstone fans closure, Kevin. A final season. Something. And you know it. What about the contracts of the people in Yellowstone to whom you’d made your commitment well before Horizon? Not many people get a second chance at fame after losing it, but you did, and Yellowstone put you back on top. One day, this ride will all be over. Will you regret the way you walked away without tipping your hat to the Yellowstone fans who loved you?
Kevin has been promoting this movie all over the country non-stop for the last 2 months. But he couldn't spare a few days on the Yellowstone set to wrap up his character?
Taylor Sheridan can't properly run a show after spreading his projects too thin, but yeah, blame Costner.
@@daveclark8337not when the producer/writer was being a dick.
@@MarklovesAngels Kevin should've swallowed his pride for a couple episodes. He really could've used those YS fans this last week and now it all imploded into a nightmare.
@@daveclark8337 Yeah, agreed. Been a lose-lose.
Yellowstone has become Banshee.
Say your greed for money was more important than your fans
The last season of Yellowstone jumped the shark. That's why Costner said he "thought" it had good writing. It did. Until it turned into over the top SWAT/cartel level violence. Sheridan should have wrapped it up coming full circle with the 7th generation going back to the Indians instead of all this Wall St stuff. I thought that was the way it was going. Now 1883 is his Masterpiece, and I hope Horizon will be Costner's. About time we had proper American West stories again.
I think the show does need to end. Just a shame it's going the way it is.
He built Yellowstone
He got paid over a million dollars an episode to hold a glass of whiskey
Is Matthew McConaughey still coming?
You can tell he wants to say it lost its purpose. He almost said it two or three times
He doesn't need to. The show hasn't been really all there since Season 3.
This is Paramount mismanagement and Taylor Sheridan agreeing with that mismanagement. It's sad.
Yellowstone won't be same without Kevin Costner. Even if just finished off season 5 to finish up the the series of Yellowstone, it's a shame the character of John Dutton is unclear ,
So we will start the season at his funeral. Jamie had him assassinated and Beth, Rip, and Casey will all be figuring out how to get him.
Damn...Dances with wolves in studio. Nice
Figure it out. You need to complete Yellowstone. Its your job.
I thought that the director I guess who is Taylor tried to kill him off but Kevin didn’t want to be killed off? I’m not like a super fan of Yellowstone BUT I thought he and the director didn’t get along or something.
If they smart they would do him whatever he want to keep him in the show cos without him there is no yellow stone
Without YellowStone fans, there's no Horizon saga . That was a $100 million loss...and counting.
Incredibly disrespectful to the fans of Yellowstone, honestly, to just give it up this easily. He says that these 4 movies he's making are gonna live forever - my man, Yellowstone was on the verge of going down as one of the greatest TV shows in history, that's living forever for 'ya. In 15 years chances are that people won't be talking much about Horizon. You blew it with Yellowstone, what an absolute shame.
Is Jamie going to be Governor????
damn it. John Dutton was Legit. Great Mistake by leaving it.
We want Josh Lucas continue this saga
Nah. If he was truly committed to, and cared about the story as he always says, he wouldn’t have left it hanging. This is about pride, money and ego.
this is america
He can't just be there for the last season? Weird.
He’s busy making these movies.
There is plenty of strong characters and stories without John Dutton. Yellowstone will be good with or without him. Those kids are going to tear each other apart when he dies.
The Postman
Not a funny matter but guess now we know who’s going to the train station between him, Beth and Jamie
Loved Taylor on SOA and enjoyed the first couple of seasons of Yellowstone, but the writing seemed to go off course too much and seemed ridiculous and unwatchable. Taylor had too many projects that never hit the bullseye.
He also secretly takes his yacht to my home town in BC to escape from the world. Super remote
What was Kevin doing before Yellowstone?
Methinks thou doth protest too much .
