The character’s adventures embody an idea considered to be a universal creation among oppressed peoples-that a small, weak, but ingenious force can overcome a larger, stronger, but dull-witted power. Brer Rabbit continually outsmarts his bigger animal associates, Brer Fox, Brer Wolf, and Brer Bear.
The Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox story, Brer Rabbit and the Peanut Patch, is the first of the two Brer Rabbit tales read aloud in this Brer Rabbit story video. The Brer Rabbit characters Brer Fox and Brer Bear get one upped.
In Brer Rabbit and The Well Brer Rabbit and his friends are helping Brer Fox replant the peanut patch that was stolen in the first story.
