I just got my hands this great die and I appreciate you taking the time to make a how-to video. Unfortunately, I could hardly hear your instructions so I went through it by watching, rather than listening. Still struggling with it slightly but I won't give up! I am probably missing some verbal instruction that might make it easier but I am determined!
Hi Susan, we're happy to help/advise! It's worth checking that you haven't flipped one of the main die-cut pieces over before tucking in the tabs. When you're connecting the pieces the angles off the cuts on one of the windows will face one direction and they'll face the opposite direction on the other piece. When each of the six tabs are connected correctly, a star shape will form in the centre of the window. This won't be the case here, but there is a fake die set on the market and we've heard feedback that the pieces will never connect properly and form the star as it should. Apologies for how quiet the video is - it's one of our first and we didn't have a mic at the time! Thank you for the video. It would have been better if I could actually hear you but it was much needed. I think there is a problem with the die. I do not have the slot to insert the tab into. I guess I can cut it in but i don't know how big the slot should be. Can you please advise.

The mechanism works well with card up to 280gsm, but we found that at this thickness, you start to get creasing along the flaps as the card is less flexible. If you are mounting a Magic Window onto a larger card base (remember to leave a wide border), then you could use card that is 200-250gsm. Please also see our video on how to make a Magic Windows photo card, where Angela explains the paper thicknesses required in more detail :) we also have an FAQs page on our website which may be helpful to you: www.angelapoole.co.uk/faqs/

Yes, the Beautiful Moments CD-ROM is a collection of JPEGs for crafter's to print, so as long as you can view and print them, you'll be fine. Our DVD-ROMs are a collection of PDFs and they work in the same way. Downloads are available from our website if you don't have a disc drive. :)
Hi I can’t get this to work. The one time I did get it to turn probably the tab ripped I’m making sure I’ve got the star in the middle. I’m using photo paper as was trying to get two photos to turn into each other.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble, Zen. We've found it best to print photos onto thin paper rather than photo paper, so that there is not too much bulk within the mechanism. You could also strengthen the tab by either using the Decorative Tabs die set if you have it, or by cutting another tab piece and trimming to size.
