  • spent three nights in aibonito puerto rico staying in a sketchy 'hotel'. everyday id walk to one or both of the local grocery stores just to get out, and buy some drinks if nothing else. a peaceful, clean, wonderful area that is a bit off the beaten path which i recommend to anyone. i hope i get to return someday.

Nothing sketchy about Aibonito, my wife is from there, I'm an Aiboniteño from NYC, we visit every July to catch El festival de las Flores. The most beautiful town hands down, we frequent El Castillo and los dos Mangos in Cidra. Great local food. Good luck and come back to visit and Vlog.

if I said aibonito was sketchy in this video I apologize. I was running my mouth no doubt and couldn’t come up with anything clever to say I guess. regardless of what I said, I can tell you I think of this trip often. I don’t think I’ll get the chance to come back for work and it breaks my heart. I travel constantly and have had many memorable adventures but this one was amazing. I’ll be the festival is amazing! I am jealous. thank you so much for watching my friend

I went to El Festival de las Flores in 1973. My father was one of the founders of the festival, Rafael M. Diaz.

I can’t tell you how much that means to me. It’s a big risk to post something like this. I don’t want someone like you to think wow this guy looks like a real jerk and he’s disrespecting my hood. I hope one day I get to return and if I do I will jump at the opportunity. You come from a beautiful place my friend. Thanks so much for watching and for your feedback!
