I had no idea you could absorb amrita for charged attacks Ninja Gaiden style. I'm so glad I discovered your channel (thanks to reddit comments recommending you), I learn something new from every upload of yours!
And if anyone reading the comments doesn't know a good way to break their horns outside of shooting them, try to do attacks that are overhead, usually high stance attacks, all enemies have a certain hit box and it normally responds to the attacks you use.
I think it is called Ki because when you fight revenants that are Yokai Shifted they just have the Ki bar that you deplete instead of their health. It is purple and has a similar if not the same texture as the Ki bar for Yokai enemies. Once you get that ki bar down, they turn back to their regular form. In Yokai shift your health is your Ki, as your healthbar and Ki are both replaced by the Yokai Ki. You are basically a Yokai at this point, and all your actions deplete the Ki as well as getting hit, just like a Yokai. I don't know if standing in a Yokai realm pool will recharge your Ki like it does for them. It would be cool if it did
Stacking nullify damage still really helps, you can get 57% max with 3 cores total which might not seem like much to some ppl but I have tanked attacks in YS and kept on going, Protection talisman and damage taken -% on armor(only on chest piece and waistguard) helps YS gauge as well. I run a sarutahiko+dreaming demon set up and it's very strong
Hey, anybody know how to absorb amrita in yokai shift in PC? Don't know what the button combinations are. Only know that heavy yokai attack absorbs amrita.
I feel the need to ask, what are your 3 items on your inventory with the assumed dark, wind, and fire scrolls? Was that just an old image for feathers or something else?
What exactly is the trick with canceling yokai shift? What do you gain by doing it? It is only possible to do it on an out-of-ki enemy and it uses grapple. How is different from a normal yokai shift grapple? Does it replace YS grapple with a more seamless combo stream? I get that just activating YS out of blue is not the best tech, but activating it near winded enemy puts you in YS form and does a decent damage already. Unless you want to cancel the grapple in order to do something else? Is that the idea?
If you use Fist weapons, the skill Wolf Claw gives you a lot of anima if the second hit connects. You can spam that skill to max your anima bar quickly.
I just noted a thing, not sure you got it: while in YS, if you try switching your GS, it won't work as long as you have a long lasting Guardian Spirit Skill going (see 25'00 for example). I guess the idea is that you cannot have both Yumehami's and Baku's (for example) Guardian Spirit Skills going on at the same time. Thanks for all the good work mate !
"this time as opposed to being in a dojo I am in an actual mission" *excitement noises intensify*

Makes sense.

Thanks for that information. It's great to learn further ways to power Yokai Shift.
@@PooferLlamaforgot to mention that spirit surge talisman is a must on a YS build too
Thanks for the videos man, your channel is great
When do you get the ability to change forms while you are shifted? And what is the buttons you have to press?

Ki Pulse + Fire Ranged Weapon. On controllers, it's R1 + R2

Umbral Bullet, Exorcist Blade, & Flame Dragon.

@@PooferLlama I think i get it now 🙂
What's max level of shiftling skill tree ? How many points you get to distribute ?
Max level is 90. Unfortunately, you won't be able to fill up the entire Shiftling tree.
why not do it against yokai ?
Hey man, great stuff as usual!
U know of any other way to gain anima faster without Yumehana?
Yeah, stack a bunch of anima bonuses on soul cores/weapons/other spirits and you'll be good to go.

Good call. That's something I forgot to mention.
