When an elegant but nervous woman appears in Inspector Maigret's office and reports her rich and successful husband missing, Maigret and Lapointe find themselves on the trail of a man leading a double life: a prominent Parisian solicitor by day, a playboy known as "Monsieur Charles" by night.
Fascinating. I've read over 20 of the books. I love their voices...both excellent British actors. I've been to France, all over Europe. I'm part French. I know some of the streets in Paris, so I can imagine how they look. This series is a delight, hope to find more!

A cat is in every picture.
Some with a whisking tail or twinkling eyes. This one seems to be fast asleep - laying completely still. Yet, not so upon closer inspection. Apart from a cat, there's usually also locked up within the picture 2 different forms of continued movement.
Where were these plays broadcast? They sound like the BBC but the music is different. I find it off putting even though it is appropriate of course that is purely personal.
It’s the original bbc radio drama, but recently the original music at start has changed.
The acting is even worse than the
music !
I can’t decide if the small blonde monkey is shaking with fear or from the sheer amount of sugar it has consumed…..
Either reason is totally unacceptable
