Hi Donnie, Restricting blood flow restricts the body's attempt at healing. Icing, ibuprofen, etc... The inflammation is an indication that there is instability/laxity in a joint and the body is trying to stabilize and repair. We would suggest seeking an opinion from a Hackett-Hemwall Prolotherapy specialist. That is the treatment for lax ligaments. We have a lot of research on these topics which are housed on our site: AboutProlotherapy. Take care.

This is fascinating! The orthopedic surgeon that I saw last year said the only option for my hip is surgery. I just knew there had to be something else that could be done. Of course he also offered to do steroid injections for pain, but I am not interested in that. I don't live in Florida, but I am going to definitely see if I can find someone in my area that is as knowledgeable as you are on this treatment. Thank you for putting this information out here!

Hello Dr. I am/was a very active 38 year old male who recently was diagnosed with moderate to severe joint degeneration in my left hip. I have no internal rotation on my left hip and the male patient who appears in the middle of this video is very similar to my range of motion. From what I have researched I think stem cell injections could help me prolong hip replacement. I live in Washington state and have yet to find a provider to attempt the injections so if I were to send my information (x ray/mri) could you tell me if flying out to Illinois to get a couple of treatments might help?

Dr. Hauser, I have a consult with you on Wed but wanted to tell you that my mri report states that I have a congenital sulcus as opposed to detachment Anterosuperior part of the hip. Of course you need to see the mri, but I have pain in my groin. You opinion is appreciated.

Hi, is this still applicable in 2018? Can you make an update video>

Hi David, Thanks for reaching out and we'll add it to the list for 2018 videos to make. Good idea! Yes, the information is all still applicable as far as the criteria for being a good Prolotherapy candidate if you have hip pain and abnormalities on your X-ray. Range of motion and overall joint integrity are good indicators if someone will likely respond positvely to Prolotherapy. If you would like us to specifically look at your case and meet with our specialists, we'd be happy to talk with you privately. You can always email us through our website or info@caringmedical.com. All the best to you.
