Fellow Georgian here and I completely agree. I think all of Georgia is embarrassed by Fani Willis. I hope the rest of the country knows that she is not a good representation of our great state.

Each state needs to appoint an AUDITING committee, to report semi-annually as how the budget is spent. We're sure there were abusers during the Pandemic; because those $$$ disappeared, who is pocketing our tax dollars. DISHONEST!

Most states follow federal guidelines and require a full audit every 2to 3 years. Also, on a county level, this should also be required and there should be an oversight board or individual for funds disbursement! Otherwise thieves, like Fannie, will do what she’s done. I’m curious, are all counties in Georgia ran the same way?

This is what happens when those appropriating money do not require oversight authority and reporting, and those charged with approving expenditures have no oversight. Everyone spending tax dollars must be accountable to someone for those funds they spend. No open checkbooks should ever be allowed.

The responsibility of having millions of dollars appropriated to your department includes the accountability of how those funds are spent. Specifically when the taxpayers you represent are undeserved and misrepresented. You cannot only serve yourself.

The very idea that former Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes is committed to defending Fani Willis is another reason why she is so "cocky." What has to happen in Georgia for their political leaders to admit they have an untenable situation?
