Seems like LBs are cursed to be situational. I am so glad Sonja ended up being an outlier and is one of the best units this season. Not to mention everyone keeps recommending Hugin with Celes/Hypo units I don’t even have built/owned. Gonna wait for Bonnie.
Just stop sugarcoating it and say he is bad. He gets bursted before he even gets a chance to shield, and a major part of his kit is too niche as 90% of characters aren’t stationary(even Dionel moves). Customer Support says that they may update characters based on their performance in future patches.
Just because he hasn't figured out how to use Hugin effectively, doesn't mean he's sugarcoating it. Characters like Ludovic or Ulmus were considered weak when they were first released, but after few patches, people realized that they were actually strong (in certain specific modes).
@ just watching the video you can tell he figured out that Hugin is just bad right now. “His kit is too niche to be useful right now and there are much better characters” is all you would need to say.

@@rjh9919 Maybe you need to read too. My whole point is that he is bad NOW and that he isn’t worth it for a whale or a new player. Just say skip and move on for now. Ulmus’ niche is far more flexible than Hugin’s and he works with maybe 3 characters(assuming no displacement or Cc). There isn’t much to theory craft with him since it is so specific. Give me a combo that isn’t Odie, Smokey, or Ludovic that is worth trying. If not my point still stands.
I summoned because im a dionel simp, in a nutshell he works but not better than other option you have for dionel i was assuming an insane burst of true do from dionel with hugin atk and smokey atk but was underwhelming Will pbly swap for bonnie when she is out
a question. so bonnie is the last A character coming in this season right? so can we just pull for hugin now to S+ regardless of him being good or not, then swap to bonnie later? since she's the last one coming and we can only use the swap ticket for this season's characters?
That assumes Bonnie will be worth pulling for. If Bonnie is as skippable as Hugin and you have to choose between switching to her or sticking with him, you might be wishing you saved your resources for next season's heroes

Hugin is worse than smokey niru as a dio buffer imo, not instant, bad faction and if you rely on charms for the buff on dio , niru is just better as a reviver/lily may blocker
