Hi, great video, is it possible to track what filter conditions were used while running a report (especially time filter ) by a user using an audit log?
I'm worried about the cost of Log Analytics. For monitoring my Azure Analysis Services (AAS), it log's a LOT of data, and the cost was more than we wanted to pay.
@@Milhouse77BSso if I understand correctly you are moving the log analytics logs to ADLS for retention and only keeping 30 days in log analytics? Trying to find ways to save on costs
Hi Adam, thanks for the video! Were you able to connect to the Data source when using the template? I struggle to find the correct authentification method.
To save on costs can I limit what I want to bring into log analytics? On a profiler trace can’t you pick what you want to trace? Can you do the same with the log analytics connection. Or is it all or nothing from a workspace?
Hi Guys, do you have any recommendations on laptops to use? I am going to be starting out consulting next year and can't use my organisations laptop but it is quite slow on PBI anyway!
Nice stuff. do you know if it also works when my reports are connected to an on-prem SSAS dataset (via gateway) ? In other words, I need usage metrics (how many times a report was opened or edited) rather than query statistics which I can collect on my SSAS box. Thsnks! Alberto
How do you create the section of filters values, like 9:30 at the top (I can see the selected values of the slicers Date, Premium capacity, Dataset, Report Id, and Scenario)?

Form where can we get the PBIX file which you showed?

Maybe shorthening the retention period of the log analytics would help.
@@billmanassas7746 we moved the query logs to cheap ADLS and the CPU logs in Log Analytics since smaller for like a month.

@@noahhadro8213 Yes, We keep the CPU/Memory metrics in Log Analytics for 60 days, and query logs and metrics stored permanently in ADLS

How do you create the horizontal page navigation menu across the top? The currently selected page underline and hover features.
Thanks for the video, I've one question regarding the update of the data. Is there any possibility to make this streaming / near real-time?
In Log Analytics, PowerBIDatasetsTenant exists, but there's no data being piped to it. Any idea when/if this will exist?

Can your channel cover alternative solutions to the issue that we cannot drill down across multiple tables? Thanks!
Anyone know if the report name is accessible from the dataset as opposed to the report_id?
Great! Thank You!

Hello..can you point me to the link to powerbi report template?
Q Hello Adam, it is very much informative video. My question is can we take some part of log analytics and build customise dashboard in Power BI?
I have search a lot. Is there a pbit file or not?
How do you create the section of filters values, like 9:30 at the top (I can see the selected values of the slicers Date, Premium capacity, Dataset, Report Id, and Scenario)?
Using smart narrative visual.
@@pankajsonawane3958 thank you!
Also since it’s a year and now this log analytics could be GA , a new video will help latest features
Can you share the pbit azure services report t 8:27 ?link or info where to get

Hi folks, Iam a learner of power Bi, and I want to gain more knowledge on power bi,so any suggestions please ????
I would suggest you to start via Microsoft learn blogs. Those are really good 👍🏼
I grant it 2.5 bananas... but if you get carried away, the bananas will cost you dearly :)
