I got my ax1500 a year ago on black Friday for 60$ and I must say it's not let us down, its really fast, we used to get constant buffering and game lag, also with at&t they make you open ports for games for each device so I just did that and bridge mode for the whole router and it made games faster, a really good budget router, can handle multiple 1080 and about 2 4k streams whilst gaming, and no issues
Hey! I have this router. It works great with 30+ devices including multiple 4K displays, consoles, phones, and smart home devices. I have AT&T Gigabit and this router is perfect for my small home.
@@manuelmacalinao500 i have an Archer MR600. it's never dropped connection in at least 6 months. tp link products are the best on the market. don't leave any device on a windowsill in direct sunlight, it will overheat.
I just received this router, very impressed to say the least. I have had two other brands in the house in the past two months, this TP-Link, the AX55/3000 blows those others out of the water. Incredibly easy to setup with the app, and I have a very strong single throughout the house, including my garage on the lower floor. This baby is a keeper! On a side note, my devices appear to run faster over the TP-Link vs the WIFI from my Verizon Home Gateway, another plus. Also, the Ookla Speed Test is also much faster, especially in regards to the ping. My ping is in the 30's vs the 70's on the Verizon router.
I would like to use this as a wireles router that connects to my main one in the living room. I will keep this one in my room and connect it via ethernet to my pc. Is that possible? if so how do i set it up?
In France, ISP often allow us the option to enable Wifi 6... For like 5-9€/month. Basically in 1/2year this TP Link router is paid, and you surely will have more bandwidth/range. Just got one and will disable that stupid option whenever i get my apartment, glad i watched that review !
just got my fiber optic internet installed today .... can I run this into the wireless router ? .... being that is the only place that has 1 space to try it ? looks like you said yes
My ISP can provide only 150Mbps but I have more than 30 of IoT Devices and other wireless devices that makes my wifi connections intermitent but the wired connections are stable. Do you think it is worthy to buy this one?
If it doesn't run OpenWRT I ain't interested....but really, the main problem with almost all home routers is that they will hardly, if ever get firmware updates. Once their out of production the manufacturer just ditches support so you have to continue replacing them. I have about 5 Archer C7's that will continue to get OpenWRT firmware updates until "I" decide I want newer features.
What modem do I have to buy for this router? I just got into my first home and just wondering on more info on how it all works, I appreciate this video, helped me out a lot! But what modem do I buy for this tp link ax3000? Please help thank you!
Check what modems are supported by your ISP. I personally have an MB8600 and am happy with it; note that if your speed exceeds 1gig you'll need something a bit pricier like the MB8611.
Do you think the Archer AX1500 is better then the Archer C4000? I currently use the C4000, but I bought the AX1500 yesterday on sale at Walmart for $44. I was going to use it as an extension in my bedroom, but I'm not sure it's working properly in this configuration. Maybe I'll just swap out the routers for one another. If anyone knows more about this, I'd really appreciate your input. Thank you! I currently have 33 devices connected. Was planning to use the AX1500 in my bedroom for my Oculus quest 2 and air link.
My PS5 online games keep lagging like mad. If I buy this will it make it better for the online games?. My ps5 worked fine. It won't let me connect to my current router on 5ghz on my ps5 settings. i have no clue about any of this.
i have a 150 mpbs netspeed but i get only 100 whit 5ghz and 60 mpbs whit 2.4ghz i am 2 meters away feom the router ? i changed the channels but idont know...
I JUST got the TP-Link Deco x90 router after having to do CONSTANT restarts on my old Google Nest Wifi mesh system. Ever since I switched to it about a week ago, I've never had to restart my router. (With the Google Nest Wifi, I had to do a restart every 3 days smh)
I have the AX50 version of this router and its a firebomb. Total garbage. It overheats and starts to throttle speeds. Looks like they made some changed to the router design probably to try and fix that overheating issue.
Had an ax50, with gigabit, never got more than 150mbs on the 5G ax band..... returned it and got a asus r82ax, basically 80-90% of connection speed through entire house with the asus.... there must have been something wrong with the ax50, did countless factory resets etc etc.... atleast tplink gave me full refund without to much of an issue
Does anyone know if you can only share certain folder with media share (dlna). That's the only thing stopping me from buying it. I really need to only share certain folders.
Tip for my German Fellows: Unfortunately you're probably not gonna be able to use TP-Link products with any provider 'cause German Providers suck like that apparantly :/ Double Check with your provider before buying this
This Tplink Ax55 router are worst, they removed the features in QOS. Cant set Bandwidth Control Download speed per Gadget. Need a customized firmware to modified
What a marketing talk for this intro, i don't need to hear more as this is sponsored and a flawed review. "Wifi6", "gaming", "work from home", blablabla.
yesyerday a new firmware was released. go grab it. the previous one made this unit unusable, with lots of frequent disconnections also, using the mobile up will activated the qos, that will slow you down. don't use that garbage
Its really bad for me. I barley got this and i am only averaging 50-90 mbps and it’s basically the same as my regular wifi but then i haven’t played my wifi for 6months.
This router is flawed. Has massive issues when using oculus quest and virtual desktop. Tplink has been aware for over 6 months. Matter is well documented in the VD discord. If you care about latency or on latency with multiple ac devices, steer clear. Works fine in ac mode, but there are much cheaper options

Yes, I'm currently using it with Starlink and it is flawless, just disable the Wifi on Starlink

Do you know if this device allows for full logging and to offload to a syslog server or Splunk?
I can't see the back of the router in the unboxing. I don't know if the router has holes in the back for wall mounting. Incomplete review.
