Awesome to see scoring across the field thru the same number of holes, instead of "live" scoring!! Especially for rounds 1 and 2 it's way better to compare all players across the same number of holes for their rounds; live scoring doesn't matter, and it's much more interesting any informative!!
Discussion 21m 20s in, about the scores is ofc. weird since they know the results but its interesting anyways. Thx for non jittery coverage (the live broadcast is weird since the change of platform on DGN). Can somone please confirm that the quality of the YT-live is trash compared to whats on DGN? This looks quite ok with the colors being more post vibrant ands such but the live is just a bad 720p in 60fps I don't need due to the low quality.
I like the commenters, but I wish they would stop treating the ladies like they're 8 year olds. When Kat Mertsch sails a putt a foot over the basket, why are we celebrating the fact that she had good height? I'm damn sure she's not thinking that in her head. I suck at disc golf, so when I run a long putt and miss high, I'm kind of happy that "at least i didn't miss low". I sure hope the best disc golfers on the FPO side don't feel the same way. And I know they don't. So let's not talk about them that way. Hold them to the standard of excellence they deserve!
Definitely, this has always bugged me with FPO. I mean this is the highest level of competition in a professional sport yet commentators treat them like children who are out there just trying to have fun and do the best they can. It’s so strange to me
Lighten up, Francis. They are obviously being supportive and that is fine by me. The Hot Geese brand is fun, funny, entertaining and not overly dense in technical details. You want constant criticism, you have the major sports on main media. Or politics if you rally crave negativity.
@@willb6608 There's a difference between "being supportive" and patronizing. If you don't agree, that's cool. I'm not sure why it made you so upset. Perhaps you should forget I made the comment and move on with your life.
@@willb6608 Have you ever watched a MPO round with Koling and Ulibarri? They have a fun and positive commentary while also calling a shot what it is. It’s not negativity or even criticism for simply calling a bad shot a bad shot.
As Fatalotti, quite rightly, said… if you disagree, that’s cool. We obviously do. Isn’t a wonderful place that we can hold and espouse our differing views. At least, for now.
Sure it is, it can be a par 5 as well, its just way to soft for the pros ofc so the score separation is crap ;D The Eagle for this par 4 will not be "special" but an Eagle opportunity is always a breath of fresh air when when the leaders make a mistake and somone can turn it around fast!
I know this will be a hot take, but oh well. Simple objective observation. Aside from maybe two or three players in all of FPO.....watching Elite FPO is like watching C-Tier MA2, as far as kinds of shots thrown and distances made. It's not just the physicality in ability to get distance, it is also skills in shot types thrown and outcome of those shots. The skills gap between Elite MPO and FPO is as big as the Grand Canyon. Mind you, I obviously still regularly watch coverage! 🤷♂
All sports have this, that’s why title 9 was created. The bigger the pool of players the better chances of finding better talent. You see this in high school sports. My school was small the volleyball team made maybe a couple cuts a year. A bigger school near me had almost 100 girls trying out for varsity volleyball. They will probably find better talent than the school who can barely make a team.
I don't think you're saying anything that hasn't been said before, though they're more in line with MA1. Don't forget that Paige Pierce believes she could be top 20 if she were in MPO .
@@nolowputts Totally irrelevant what Paiga has said. I can say that I am better than AB although I would lose probably about 20 strokes on a course like this. I agree that the best FPO players are better than MA2. Paige gave several very unrealistic comments in the past where she'd be in MPO.
The best FPO players are better than MA2. You are missing some of the most important aspects in disc golf. I agree that even in MA3 there are players throwing farther than FPO players. Where MA2 would lose a lot is putting, approach shots and probably most of all, in consistency. Top FPO are very good from 300 ft and less. In Finland FPO plays usually the same course as MPO so over the years it has been very easy to compare them. I'd say elite FPO is close to 960 rated MPO players. But of course elite MPO are way better than elite FPO. It would be very strange if it wasn't like that. Everyone who is realistic knows that. I prefer watching MPO, but many watches FPO because their game is more relatable, or partially for that reason. It goes way back to tens of thousands of years ago and is in our genetics. It doesn't matter what people nowadays tries to say and argue against it. That is a fact of life and nothing wrong with it. It is so obvious that I don't really see a point to mention it.

I'm always so pumped for this tournament!

Mine is the other way - YT live is great but DGN app is trash. I've tried both iPhone and Mac.
@@akselim7403 Thx for the answer, I don't use iOS or MacOS though, and did you mean this year just to clearify. Also Android and PC someone? xD

Great intro from kat❤
Way to go tiger!
Again the wind is your Friend it's keeps you Flying
Hooonk! ❤
Jonesboro.... HOONK!
I swear I heard one of the geese (Erika) say “woof” not “honk” during this commentary. Two diggity dogs?
incredible opening monologue
Kristen still foot-faults 100% of her jump putts.
Great intro Erica!
I'm pretty sure the voice-over intro is Kat Mertsch..

She’s +1 for the front 9. It’s ok at best

Gamble on cards, kids!
