I feel the same. But at the same time I kind of want to keep it to myself and this little circle of fans. Not because he’ll change, but because unfortunately some people are just there to pose and not to listen and connect the way I feel his music is meant to.
I think I just saw it eight times in a row, what a nice energy it feels. Beautiful beautiful. Paolo always leaves me speechless but the videos I found from this night are heavenly. Thanks for sharing! Greetings from Argentina.
Love this video so much👋...Paolo seems to have grown with confidence, humor, animation and playfulness throughout this tour AND of course his talent is ever present and amazing...hard to improve on that note😉🎶💕
Totally agree! I’ve seen a few other videos of the tour and you can clearly see how his interactions with the audience shift whenever he feels respected and “listened to”. I went to his 3 concerts in Sydney and you could clearly see when he felt comfortable or not and his whole approach to the show was different. From concert 1 to 2 and onwards he changed the dynamics of the songs and adapted it to what he felt the audience was expecting/reacting. Brilliant! He truly listens to his fans and knows who’s there for the “show” and who’s there for the love of art ❤
@@Suguitarra what of the 3 shows do you think was his best?? We went to his last one, plus Melbourne and Byron. He definately performed to the crowd more in Melbourne and Byron, he didn't get annoyed by anyone being overly noisy and disrespectful like his last night in Sydney. It was really disappointing to see that affect him and people not be quiet.
So cool! Which of his Byron shows did you go to? I was on his first show. Personally, If I had to chose a show Id say his second night in Sydney. He seemed more cheerful with the audience and everyone was so respectful, you could hear a pin drop in some of his performances, and when people requested songs it was always respectfully, never in a demanding manner (hence why he’s playful with it in the video). I think Byron was more energetic cause people were allowed to dance/stand up. But it didn’t feel as personal. They didn’t really interact with the audience and it was 10min short at the end. A lot of “fans” had never even heard the new album so only danced/sang to the old ones and maybe through the echoes. However, you could tell the band was well rested and happy to be there. His first Sydney show i sensed the crowd was super flat and there were lots of sound issues which you could tell distracted and annoyed Paolo and the band. He even mixed the lyrics in “Abigail”. I think most people didn’t even notice, but I understand they want everything to be smooth for their audience. On another note, idk if it’s related, but maybe the “flatness” of the audience made him change the set list of his songs. As far as I can tell he’s been opening with Afterneath and some dynamic songs, then solos and closed with dynamic ones too. His last 2 nights in Sydney then started with him solo “Abigail” and slowly built up the audience and you could def tell people were more engaged with him after that change. Although the last bit of his last night in Syd was amazing and he seemed happy, for me it was overshadowed by how disrespectful some people where behaving and how he got annoyed by it. Or maybe I’m just jealous and biased cause that’s the only night I wasn’t in the front rows so I “missed” out on his interaction haha. You could tell he was happy by the end of his Aus tour but also quite tired. I was lucky enough (stalker) to listen to them rehearse “Children of the Stars” and that + him changing the set list of the songs and arrangement of the old ones makes me think that he wants to continue experimenting with his music, and maybe that’s why he gets frustrated at how some of the people attending the shows are still stuck in the 19yo Paolo era. I mean, I was frustrated by it. Idk what it is about his shows but I had never felt that “connected” during a performance. The good, the bad and the ugly. What I really hope is that this incidents (I’ve heard there’s been quite a few) don’t discourage Paolo to keep making music and performing. And that he takes the good out of it. How his music and performance makes people feel and connect. Anyways, thanks for coming to my Ted talk haha hope I made sense. English isn’t my first language and not the best at writing so apologies!
@@Suguitarra wow thanks so much that was amazing and I whole heartedly agree with everything you wrote. I worry also that he will disappear again for years or worse because of the way people behave at his shows and can't be respectful enough to listen to the new music and him experimenting. Really frustrating that they pay to see a show but want to talk all the way through it and disrupt others. And I also witnessed same thing that people just didn't know his new record and only come for a few 'stand out hits' (in their eyes) and are super rude and noisy through the rest. I don't know what it is about his shows that he attracts people like that. If you were a fan you'd see that he is put off by it, yet they keep doing it. I went to 2nd Byron show, Melbourne and last Sydney show. Also saw him twice in Byron 8 years ago when he was last out. I really enjoyed the more intimate theatre shows compared to the outdoor festival scene, but yes feel the crowd behaviour overshadowed things. Oh well....until next time. I really hope it isn't another 8 years away. Thanks again...in mutual love of Paolo ✌️
Totally agree! I’ve never seen a performer give so much of his/her soul. You can truly feel it in the air. I went to 4 of his shows in Australia and I dont drink or do drugs and I kid you not, for that whole week I felt high 😂 Even back in Perth all my friends were like “what happened?” (In a good way)
Her name is Ellie, she’s English. According to what Paolo said on his first show back in Australia (Byron 06/04) it’s her first time playing with the band live. I don’t know if she was with them in the US or rest of the tour.
Bravissimo!Bello con camicia di jeans!❤
Gigantisches Lied. Und Paolo ist spitze!
I was there - this guy is out of this world - so under-rated - should be a world wide phenomenon
