Fabulous! As a real newbie, why the ratio of 2:1 for the base, I usually see 1:1 recommended?

Hello... I haven't tried the 1:1 ratio yet, so I can't say much about it.
But from what I know so far, the difference in the ratio will affect the viscosity of the resin mixture, and this will influence the time gap needed to reach the proper viscosity when pouring the petal mixture.
It's recommended to conduct experiments to determine the time gap range for the resin you're using. Next is a video of an experiment I conducted with my resin : ua-cam.com/video/KcLoYtc7rJo/v-deo.html

Hello there... It seems the alcohol ink react uniquely with the resin. Maybe you can try another brand of alcohol ink?

Reason for karne se pahle kitni der tak ka rakhna padta hai kya timing hoti hai aur colour bhi avoid colour bhi Mein Kitna time hota hai yah flower banane ke liye mix kar ke rakhne ke liye
