Thank you! Was sitting down in prayer and this scripture came to mind. I didn't know much about what happened there on the mountain and why. When I scrolled the UA-cam you came up. It is so important to base everything on scripture so I am so thankful that you had so many scriptures to share. When I was at my Hebrew class the teacher told us: "Don't worry if you don't know the anser, just say Jesus" He explained that Jesus is always a right answer. I loved his lessons 😁 God bless!

I was just in Israel in March! I heard you on Naked Bible Podcast and immediately bought your book Unveiling Mercy. I read it while I was in the land. I’m so happy to see you have a UA-cam channel that I will be binge watching for the foreseeable future! Thank you so much for sharing your gift this way.

Great stuff! The other thing I adore about the Transfiguration is the fact that we see the very beginning of a Communion of Saints, the Union of those who are still living and those who have been brought to Heaven... all in and among Jesus Who makes it possible! Also, Mother Mary also told the Disciples to "listen to Him, do what ever He tells you." Shema, hear and obey.

"Mother Mary" was only the EARTHLY mother of Jesus while He was in the flesh. Yes, she did say to them 'listen to Him', but you need to read scripture in context.
"Mother Mary" was also born from the corrupted seed of Adam, also needed a Savior ánd acknowledged it. She is blessed but do are we ALL in Christ!

Dear Brother Chad.. excellent study.. amazing message..thank you so much..and God bless you..I wanted to point out something that when Peter asked to build a tabernacle or tent for Jesus and Moses and Elijah..he knew not what he asked because like you said Jesus is our Covering our Tabernacle and He is not to be covered over because He has no sin He is God and the Son and Word..so it was righteous when coming into Jerusalem the people of God laid leaves and foliage under His feet and under His colts hooves and waived palms and praised and worshipped Jesus! As He is Lord over the Sabbath and over the tabernacles and over all of mankind ❤..

Oh man! This has confirmed so many questions for me! Ive always Seen God standing outside of "time" (a concept made for man) but to see Jesus in Ezekiel and other prophets, totally confirms it. It is Jesus who puts his finger to the stone, to give Moses the 10? Disregarding human timelines, BC and AD seem to be for fleshly understanding

Thank you so much Brother Bird for sharing your hard-earned wisdom and Spirit-filled heart with us! Enlightening and inspiring! It’s interesting, and perhaps instructive, who isn’t at the Transfiguration. Moses and Elijah, both of whom serve as prophet and priest, are there, but where is David, Israel’s greatest king? Is he left out of the Transfiguration because King Jesus is there in all his sovereignty and glory?

    • @eekay5710
      @eekay5710 Рік тому

Moses and Elijah represent the law and the prophets. Remember they spoke with Jesus about His exodus. King David, Abraham etc were not part of this transfiguration of Jesus, as all the prophets and the law pointed to Jesus. He was the end of both.

This lesson in my UA-cam feed this morning with mountains, clouds, topography wreaking more fear on the apostles, then bound to secrecy, inconsistent and nonexistent references in the gospels gave me a welcome dose of anxiety and consternation. Anxiety affords me a visceral and physical connection to scripture. Being an apostle was to live in confusion in a completely disrupted life struggling to believe what Jesus said and what they were seeing with their own eyes. Q "Hey guys, anything big happen up on the mountain today with the lord?” A. “Real big, but we can't tell you until he's dead and rises from the dead.” Now carrying that massive secret around had to really suck! Except when we go off on our "just believe in Jesus and we’re fully insured" because the New Testament is a big bag of free candy, being a Christian sucks. It sucked for the apostles and it sucks for us. But it is the price of salvation and I thank God that in these later stages of my life he showed me the trail head of the difficult path that he laid out for us. If I ever stop feeling the anxiety, stress and tension from the scripture I will know I have lost my way.

Mark has Jesus instruct the three disciples to tell no one of the incident until after his resurrection, then cleverly arranges that they never learn of it by having the three women fleeing the sepulcher at the end “for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.”

Would you say the fig tree or it's leaves "could" represent the curse according to the principle of first mentions?
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
[7] Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

    SHORTS VERSION:
The primary reason Yeshua took Peter, James, and John up Mount Tabor was to reveal to this last generation when the rapture will occur.
Summary: This is a brief explanation of why Jesus took His disciples up Mount Tabor.
On the eighth day, Yeshua took His disciples up Mount Tabor and transfigured before them.
Peter said, “It is good for us to be here; let us build three tabernacles, one for Moses, one for Elijah, and one for you.”
Question: Why do you think Peter wanted to build three tabernacles? Maybe he thought Moses, Elijah, and Yeshua might get cold? I don’t think so.
The reason Peter wanted to build three tabernacles was that Yeshua took His disciples up Mount Tabor during the Feast of Tabernacles.
Question: Do you remember what Yeshua told His disciples eight days earlier?
Answer: Matthew 16:28 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
In other words, Yeshua wanted to show His coming at the rapture.
    Wait for it…
Before Yeshua can come in His Kingdom, He must first reclaim the Kingdom of this world from Satan.
Learn when Yeshua reclaims the Kingdom of this world from Satan, and you will discover when the rapture will occur.
Revelation 11 marks the exact halfway point in the seven-year tribulation. Look at what event is taking place:
Paul said, “At the last trump, the dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive at the time will be caught up, so shall we ever be with the Lord,” meaning RAPTURE TIME.
Here is the last trump sounding, and look at what event is taking place:
The Seventh Trumpet “Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and loud voices called out in heaven: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.’”
Now read what verse 17 says: “We give thanks to You, O Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.”
There is Yeshua coming in His Kingdom at the exact halfway point in the seven-year tribulation.
Conclusion: Notice that Yeshua, according to Luke, took His disciples up Mount Tabor on the eighth day or the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles?
Question: Remember what Yeshua said to His disciples before He took them up Mount Tabor?
Answer (Paraphrased): “I want to show you My coming at the rapture.”
Now let me show you the rapture taking place at the same time Yeshua comes in His Kingdom:
Revelation 11: “The time has come to judge the dead and to reward Your servants the prophets, as well as the saints and those who fear Your name, both small and great.”
Question: How can God reward all of His people unless all of His people are now in Heaven at the exact halfway point in the seven-year tribulation?
Question: Why did Yeshua take His disciples up Mount Tabor on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles?
Answer: Yeshua took His disciples up Mount Tabor on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles because He wanted to show this last generation when the rapture will occur.
Last Question: Did you know that Yeshua said five times in the Bible that He would raise him up on the last day?
The last day is the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, and this is the message the Father gives to you.
There is so much more to tell you, but most won’t read this message because it’s too long.
The rapture will take place one day soon on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles.
    Bruce

At the transfiguration both the Law and Grace / Church are represented. The Law is strict and unyielding, but Grace is just the opposite and suggests the rapture by Elijah being snatched away. John - Grace, James - replaces, and Peter - stone/Law so it suggests that after Jesus is glorified the Law will be replaced by Grace. Don't believe this is reading too much in the passage.

Moses and Elijah were loyal Princes of Heaven whom Christ trusted to oversee the period when He would be incarnated in a physical body and thus limited in His spiritual perception due to the filtering of human flesh. They operated from Paradise, the closest part of Christ's Kingdom to earth and had vast number of angels at their disposal to ensure that the final stage of God's Plan of Redemption proceeded to schedule. As the time for Jesu's showdown with Satan approached it was necessary to provide Jesus with a final briefing regarding the events that were about to occur. This is the principle reason the meeting on Mount Tabor took place. It also served to strengthen the resolve of His closest disciples and the added benefit of God also putting in one of His rare appearances served to bolster everyone's courage for the terrible events that would happen.
