MAN i went into this map completely blind of the concept and story and i’m just realising how cool the parallels between breeze and holly are especially both having a rockslide scene in the books. i’ve discovered so many cool new animators from this map!! congrats to everyone on completing!
This Au and map turned out very interesting and unique. Never thought I'd see Breezepaw in a way like this, with Hollyleaf as well. Seeing the both of them be a focus of a map together, especially an au was different but everyone did good work!!
Whereas I'm not usually a fan of either Breezepelt or Hollyleaf I think my respect for the two of them has skyrocketed from this AU. They both fit together really well, I love this Map so much AAAAA It was such an honour to be part of this :D

I dont hate hollyleaf, i just don't like how she was written. Also the way she treated Squirrelflight put me off her even more, even if she DID have to lie to the three

You actually just brought up a very interesting point, if ashfur reveals the Three's secret, he sorta has to admit he kinda forced it out of squirrelflight, iam not sure how well Thunderclan would take that, firestar in particular might be a tad peeved considering that's his daughter and grandchildren. Poor ashy boy, his plan was doomed from the start.
@@CircusSabre hey! ive spoken to them a few times (hi if you see this btw :D) and they're overall a decent person. they acknowledge that ashfur did wrong, but are still fans of his character and take into consideration his upbringing (how he was neglected as an apprentice because dustpelt was weirdly into fernpaw, how he was in a horrible battle at such a young age, how his mother died in such a brutal way) and admire all of ashfur and not just the antagonist-y bits. they, obviously, understand that murder is wrong and that ashfur did wrong things, but still choose to like his character regardless and appreciate the writing put into ashfur. i don't think they support trying to murder your ex's kids or murdering your ex's father, but i think that they choose to see beyond the morally wrong aspects of ashfur's character and take him into entirety, and with that, found reasons to appreciate ashfur as a character. also they and i (a squirrelflight fan) found common ground in despising bramblestar, so they're okay in my book lol
This AU idea is so creative! I love the idea of Hollyleaf's emotions being tied to the holly, and how she loses he cool when she doesn't have it. I also love the correlation with the rockslides! It's so smart! And the way it's animated in the beginning and later in the map ties it all together so well. Not to mention the song fits Hollyleaf so well! Beautiful work to all the animators and map host, definitely one of my favorite maps. ❤️✨👍

First we got emo Jayfeather with this song, now this amazing Hollybreeze Au. Everyone did so well! There’s so much emotion and the animation and shots match the emotion of the song so well! I adore this Au.

I initially watched this map around a day after when it came out and haven't commented until now, i think the parallels work really well, and you've actually got me feeling for these 2 characters i wouldn't normally be so fond of. Thanks for making this, this is going on my favorite maps playlist, i enjoyed every single part and the timing is just great. No part of the map ever felt like it was stalling, managing to keep with a coherent story and the pacing of the song. Those are the best kinds of maps.
I wish that Jaypaw, Lionpaw, and Hollypaw had a better connection with Breezepaw. I feel that if they had, then Hollyleaf wouldn't have died, Breezepelt might not have been apart of the Dark Forest and neither would have Lionblaze and Jayfeather would have forgiven Crowfeather and Leafpool.
I had to leave during the premiere but I came back now to watch and I'm shocked by how stunning this map has come, the fire scene and the end was my favorite part because of how dynamic it is. every part is so well animated and the transitions are simple amazing, I have no words to express how well each animator did in their part

This map is amazing and props to the animators, I love this map a lot. But there’s something I’ve been wanting to talk about, Hollyleaf. You could say that Hollyleafs overated, but that is not the problem here. It’s that Hollyleaf killed Ashfur because she wanted pride, she said “Now you won’t tell anyone anything.” (Talking about how Squilf is not her mother) but, she later tells EVERYONE IN ALL CLANS AT A GATHERING the truth, she wanted to be the one to get the apprentation and honer of telling the truth for a possible traitor, (not saying that Squilf is one ofc) She wanted the pride so she could be the “hero” instead of Ashfur. ANOTHER THING, she tried to kill her own mother. Not just her own mother, A MED CAT! She tried to force Leafpool to eat death berries, it’s WAY WAY worse than the Yellowfang and CROOKEDSTAR, I understand her pain but that is NO EXCUSE to kill your own kin, and a med cat. It’s like a Mapleshade situation tbh, everyone understands her pain but it’s no excuse, EXEPT Maple had a way better reason and didn’t kill her own kin. (It doesn’t count Appledusk) Plus, if you search up Hollyleaf it describes her as villain-ly. I’m sorry this has nothing to do with the map, and I’m not saying I’m annoyed at the map or anything. But the praise and attention Holly gets even though she killed a cat and tried to kill another which was her mother AND a med cat?! She even tried to make her kill HERSELF!! THAT IS PRAISING SUICIDE (I couldn’t find the word lol) I promise this is a amazing map, the praise and saying “she’s a good cat” and “I feel bad for her” just bothers me, but if you like Holly that’s totally fine. I enjoyed the map.
I don't think Holly killed ashfur so she could be the one to reveal squilf's treason. She killed him before anyone knew that Leaf and Crow were their real parents, so it was more of a "I won't let you ruin our lives anymore" moment. She snapped once she learned that her birth had broken multiple important rules of the code, which makes sense because she was always loyal to the code in her life. So knowing that she broke it by simply existing was probably very hard for her. That's also why she went into (voluntary ?) exile, she's punishing herself for being born. Of course that doesn't excuse killing someone. Regarding Maple, I don't think going on a murderous rampage after your kits drown is much better, especially since she didn't show any remorse, unlike Holly, who exiled herself out of guilt. Also Maple killed a med cat, in case you forgot. (Also just because a character tried to kill themselves, or kill someone else, doesn't mean the people that like them are praising suicide or murder, that's just wrong.)
