So yeah, I imagine they spend a lot of time working on that engine for PS5 (which is still ultimately gonna be a decade behind engines like UE4) and it's probably a lot easier to just reuse and revamp assets from an older title, because making a new mainline Neptunia would take them more time... That, and the fact that they're just trolling us at this point. Most likely they just gave up on Neptunia, and tbh lately there isn't all that much to meme the shit outta in the game industry... Same old, same old... Console War's still going on, PC still reigns supreme as far as tech goes, piracy on consoles isn't as big as it used to be (or at least I don't hear much about it...) and for all we know the next Nep game, going by their recent writing style, would be a lot darker... We've seen Conquest ending, we've seen the catastrophe and the ruins Uzume's dimension was in VII, also CPUs losing their reign to some nobodies... like, can we even go further and would it still be the good old funny and positive looking Neptunia we love?
From the series that saved my life, to the opening that inspired "Hyperdimension Neptunia: A Dimensional Trip". This cover really made me smile. I was almost in tears near the end. Even if this series isn't doing well and could possibly end soon, I'm still going love it dearly!
Good news is that it's still going strong my man. New game coming out in Japan this year and a localization was already confirmed. The last OVA also heavily teased a second season that would likely cover VII. There's plenty more Nep to come.

Earlier this year, Rie Tanaka uploaded on this channel, 田中理恵の姐さんTV (Tanaka Rie no Anesan TV), her cover of her own song, "Freesia," sung by her character Ciel, which serves as the ending theme song for the 2005 Mega Man Zero 4 game.
Another one of my favorite Rie Tanaka cover versions of an opening theme song in which she voices a character in the anime is marble's "Aozora Loop" [Eriko Futami Version] for the 2007-2008 KimiKiss Pure Rouge TV anime series, based on the KimiKiss dating simulation game. The Japanese voice actresses for the main female characters in the anime sang character song versions of the opening theme. You can find them on UA-cam. I'm the one who uploaded the Rie Tanaka/Eriko Futami version on another one of my UA-cam channels over seven years ago, several years after the anime originally aired in Japan, accompanied by images of Eriko Futami I collected on the internet from drama CD, manga, fan book, anime, etc., because an earlier video of it, uploaded by someone else, "vanished" from UA-cam. I ended the video with a shot of Eriko atop, with a slight smile on her face, looking down on the male protagonist, with a mostly clear blue sky in the background, a shining, bright sun above, slowly zooming in, Ken Burns style. I have no idea where that image is from, but it is one of very favorite pictures of Eriko Futami.

This is so good! I love this opening and hearing Rie-san covering it is even more amazing! This brought a smile to my face and honestly reminded me why I loved Neptunia so much. I just wish that this series was doing better, looking at you Idea Factory and Compile Heart.

One can reasonably hope for that, on the other hand Id have to pray for an english dub. Idea Factory just does not understand what an amazing english cast they have gotten and that that is the reason the first game sold so much above expectations.

One can reasonably hope for that, on the other hand Id have to pray for an english dub. Idea Factory just does not understand what an amazing english cast they have gotten and that that is the reason the first game sold so much above expectations.

It's a bit late, but that's actually the more common voice she uses in anime. Look up pretty much any anime that she doesn't voice a loli in, I personally love her singing in Strike Witches too!
