‘Father of the Voice’: Noel Pearson proving the proposal is based on ‘false hopes’

- Sky News host Andrew Bolt has warned people to avoid listening to Indigenous leader Noel Pearson’s thoughts on the Voice to Parliament, describing him as the “father of the Voice”.
“No one has done more than Noel Pearson to prove that, oh dear, the Voice is racist, useless, divisive and based on false hopes,” he said.
Take a black pen, write no in the box, and you've already done more for this country than most politicians ever will.
Always vote with a pen i say.
Perhaps you might read the rather long post I have above. Please do your own research I have given the title of the Acts to look up and read for yourself.
@@marionfreshwater8883 I think not. I've done more than enough research to recognise what a farcical and thinly-veiled power-grab the so-called "Voice to Parliament" is, and why it should be rabidly opposed by anyone with a grain of sense, investment in the future of this country or even just self-interest! The fact that money is being wasted on this pitiful excuse for a referendum is indicative of the appalling state of our parliamentary system and the depraved parasites currently infesting it.
You mean indigenous pen. Tut tut!
Of you write No you're vote is a donkey vote. Tick the box and be counted.
Vote No on Oct 14 and then demand accountability of the groups and bureaucrat's that have been in charge for decades over failed policies.
Yes. We are replete with political appointees after Labor abandoned the Commonwealth Selection Test as well as the Public Service Board.
We tried to copy the American way but it hasn't worked for them or
for us. Bureaucrats, the Judiciary and even some MSM are politicised.
It's communism in action. Yet we point the finger of scorn at Russia and China.

Agreed, this is the one positive thing that has come out of this referendum, the way it is waking up many Australians to the astonishing national scandal that is Indigenous Affairs funding.
The idea that "no one is listening" to the suggestions of Indigenous Australians is patent nonsense.
Activist like Pearson and many other Indigenous groups, have had their hands on the wheel for decades, ATSIC was in business for 14 years with total control of massive funds and programs created, it was a disaster, with barely any improvement in any of the indicators that are now recorded on the 'closing the gap', scale.
It's time for the Adults to stand up and have a serious conversation about more assimilation, instead of some feel good fantasy about allowing people live a half arsed 'traditional' lifestyle and then going into, self flagellation and guilt shaming when their health, education and employment opportunities don't measure up to modern Western societal norms.
@@SaintKimboWe Aussies are an apatetic lot about many thing with a catch cry of She'll be right mate. We've lived in the land of plenty and we do turn a blind eye to alot of government excess and waste. I agree this referendum has expose government waste of epic proportions. The days of apathy needs to be over and government held to far greater account.

That disgusting Yunupingu ,aboriginal elder who died earlier this year and lauded as the most outstanding Australian by Mr Albanese, left an estate worth over 7million.He never worked a day in his life but had the position of allocating government funding. Some of his relatives benefited, but many land councils got nothing.Proper allocation of funds is what we need, not a voice.
Same as operating primary industries on traditional lands. Leaders and land trustees of certain Aboriginal group gets all the benefits while average Aboriginals get zero cent.
@@StellarJones their system is about benefiting powerful families, I saw an old aboriginal woman complaining how the government doesn't care about her and wouldn't give her an air conditioner, meanwhile parked in a few driveways were brand new Landcruisers and Commodores, oppressed by her own people
Central Land Council can't account for 80.2 million dollars and the Greens are blocking a government audit to find were it's gone
And probably violated children in his grubby facade.
This is the real problem. Elite Aboriginal activists preventing the funding getting through to the most disadvantaged communities!😢

Originally, the Prime Minister’s voice dialogue was all about “a principle”.
Then the Prime Minister changed his dialogue to be all about the “voice body”.
Then Albanese switched his voice dialogue again to be all about “the gap”.
And now the dialogue is all about “housing, health, education and jobs”.
If the voice concept is only about “housing, health, education and jobs” then for the sake of national sanity why the hell is Australia holding the voice referendum at a cost of 365 $ million and when 34 $billion is already spent annually.
Common sense Australians will never be convinced that Australia has to amend the constitution just to resolve issues of housing, health, education and jobs.

Which is part and parcel of what the Voice to Parliament is about.. placing Selected Representatives as opposed to Elected Representatives.
I am Aboriginal and this Voice crap is not a grass roots movement but a top down initiative from the Government, its going to strip us all of our collective voices Black and White alike. The ground work for this initiative was happened like 6-7yrs ago. Its bigger than just a Voice to Parliament, there are local spokespersons being selected aswell. I put the State Representatives on blast when they had a sit down meeting with our Tribal Group about 7yrs ago. The person they 'Selected' as the Voice for our Region was not even a member of our Tribal Group and was infact hostile towards our group, serving his own people with funds meant for our region. Why does this happen and nothing get done about it? Because Parliament gets a Yes Man and the Yes Mans corruption gets overlooked. Speaking over Land and Title that was never his, that he has contempt towards. This is a big part of whats fueling the Aboriginal animosity, its like me going to the local supermarket and buying an XR6 Turbo off whoever is standing there. He gets $100 and I tow the car and claim its now legally mine. People need to open their eyes whats happening in this country
Ohhh Noel Pearson is running for Prime Minister & if the Yes vote wins he will kick out Albo & take the top spot unopposed via the legal system 😉
He will. The voice group will eventually become more political, control is what they want.
Honestly after all this, and the people have hopefully voted NO, Jacinta Price should actually throw her hat in the ring for PM of Australia.
After listening to her I would honestly consider her.
I have no doubt she will be Deputy PM after next election.. she's a wonderful person😊
Totally agree. She leaves those two numpties - Albo and Dutton for dead
The apathy of the Australian Electorate really scares me. After all it voted this pathetic excuse for a Government into power in the first place.
The conservative vote was split between staunch always liberal/national voters and the pissed off conservative voters who were unhappy with the left leaning movement of the main lib/nat parties and voted for the independents and the financially comfortable environmentally brainwashed conservatives that went teal.
P.S. Don't forget that it was less than 33% of the voting population that gave their first preference to the current government.
Voting should be regarded as a privilege and be restricted to qualified taxpayers over age 21.
Several important policies are currently based upon ridiculous and economically destructive popular delusions.

This will not bring the country together. This is dividing the country forever! Such arrogance!
For God's sake calm down. Dutton carried on like a Prima Donna over the ' apology'. And he was completely totally wrong. The sky did not fall. Nor will it if the VTP gets up. Your hystrionics are a kind of emotional blackmail. Most of the no voters cite how upset they and everyone else will be, or how angry they are m at the moment, as a chief reason that we should not dare to create the VTP.
Really? Your threats to be so upset (divided) are a main reason against the VTP? Well......just put a lid on it, stop being such a princess, and then that reason against the VTP ceases to exist.
But the no voters' visceral dislike of Aboriginal alleged 'privileges and advantages over others' (even though such things are myths) won't allow them to be sensible, right minded citizens . Their darker angels make them weak- minded, and their votes are cast accordingly.
@@chriswarne5050 still got that view? you and your Yes mates that clearly got it wrong? fyi - God has nothing to do with this. seems like your high and mighty view on this is totally wrong and i am totally right. you are on the far other side of what the rest of us wanted. go take your left woke cause and find out where all the money has been spent and why the existing mechanics dont get the outcomes it deserves

......do you know your Socrates? One of his gifts to us all was his philosophy's indifference to popularity if it meant being in the wrong.
Your No vote was more popular, but it's lack of empirical fact, sound reasoning and ethics remains unchanged.
Popularity does not prove rectitude.
As a democratic and liberal citizen, I naturally abide by the conventions of democratic decision making. But my convictions remain as before. Factual premises and sound reasoning support them and my confidence in my position is unshaken.
Your infantile 'woke' sledge only confirms the paucity of your own case. Ad hominem attacks do not reduce the rectitude of my position.
Bear in mind that your leader Dutton rejected the Apology, only to later regret that decision.
No proper, factually premised argument against the VTP exists- certainly none that you have presented. A great deal of poorly constructed (if truth is your ambition) and factually unfounded criticism has gone unchallenged. This is a tragedy for us all. The Uluru statement (and the 3 proposals which are derived from it) offered us all - aboriginal and non aboriginal - a chance at real progress. A chance to finally and consciously address our shared colonial history, and to move forward.
But you were too afraid to do it.
And Dutton opted for a populist appeal to the darker inchoate instincts of the average citizen. He rejected the VTP.
I wonder if time will see him once again regret his populist appeal to his conservative base - as he did with the Apology.
His inclination to prefer political advantage at the cost of indigenous advancement may well his only lasting impression.
Perhaps you'll one-day see how little you've accomplished by making sure nothing changes. Yours is truly a Conservative's victory......No change and more of the same.

NOEL PEARSON
An Aboriginal activist and respected community leader, Noel Pearson came from the Guugu Yimithirr Aboriginal community at Hope Vale, a Lutheran Mission on Cape York Peninsula. He graduated with an honours degree in history from the University of Sydney. His honours thesis focused on the history of the Hope Vale Lutheran Mission from 1900-1950. Pearson completed a law degree in 1993.
In 1990 Pearson co-founded the Cape York Land Council where he was Executive Director until he resigned in 1996. He was also a legal advisor for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission. He continues to advise a number of Indigenous organisations in Cape York, and advocates self-determination and land rights for Indigenous people.
Noel Pearson's Quarterly Essay, Radical Hope - Education and Equality in Australia, was shortlisted for the 2010 John Button Prize.
Andrew, how does Albo get away with his very public support and pushing for this Voice to happen? I always thought that the prime minister was meant to be strictly non partisan in these things.

Really is out of hand for uneducated mob
Hey, not doubting your info, but can it be verified?
Albo Sleazy said "with hope of a better future" , hope?? no guarantees , no assurance and no promises , just hope that it will work without any knowledge of what the voice will actually be.
And no accountability
@@kellysouter4381there never is...😊😂 They're laughing all the way to the bank 🎉🎉
Pearson has never been involved in anything without a sling or a quid at the end of it. Nothing has changed.
I remember at the beginning of this project that he insisted that if it didn’t get up he would retire from public life .I do hope he’s true to his word
But what he would do, behind the scenes in his 'non-public' life, worries me more....
That will be added to all his other lies..
@@joneff9713he should just retire to the Labour Hall of Shame with Keating, Rudd, Gillard & Shortass !!
He said he would 'go silent '😮 and Langton said there would be "no more Welcome to Country ceremonies." That's 2 good reasons for voting NO!
@@joneff9713 yep just like TurdBull
The Voice is basically saying let's find a bleeding heart judge to give us everything with unlimited money and power for Burney's corrupt mates.
Oh Burneys fashion statements😂😂😂😂
Has Pearson done a day's work in his life except for begging for handouts.
Big business should have no say in our political affairs and donations to a political agenda should be illegal
Yes, boycott them all!
Imagine if the prime minister was this animated about real issues like teenage crime or rising living costs
People voting Yes shouldn't forget what happened in Uganda in 1972 ,non-indigenous people in Uganda were given 1 week to leave and all their properties were seized ..this will happen here if Voice with Dictatorial powers passes
To ba fair, Indians in Uganda where outnumbered by Ugandan. The aborigines couldn't deport Europeans if they wanted to.
Yeh I remember that took people of there farms ,even killed them and did not know how to run a farm they destroyed their food sources
Correct...but it will be the UN that turns up to take Australia
@@pablovalentine8976 that sounds like all the working cattle farms that have been given to aboriginals by state governments. I remember a guy at work who told me that he helped set up a commercial market gardener in the NT for them to grow vegetables for them to eat and sell. He went back a year later all of the equipment was sold off and the place was in disarray. He questioned what had happened and their response was that you need to pay us to grow our own food.
The only thing Pearson has done is line his own pocket at the expense of his own people, whilst they live in abject poverty.
65 k years of no culture, no art , no written language No architecture and stepped in superstition and misogyny .
no art? whats all the cave paintings? scribbles?
@@takethat941 exactly...kiddie scribbles.
@@takethat941Even dot painting was only invented in 1971.
If Aboriginal people have been in Australia for 65,000 years, that equates to an increase in population of just 15 Aboriginals per year to reach the population of about 1,000,000 Aboriginals in 1788..!!!!!
......and tri alism and violence.
As Mr Mundine said it’ll probably be 165.000 years they’ve been here soon, gose up every few months. Vote no NSW
I reckon that most Aboriginals came over from PNG after they heard that the British had arrived on 18 January 1788, and then they just blended in.
He tries desperately to make statements, delivered in a certain tone and style, that will live through the ages, as with greats like Churchill. He comes off sounding like a wally, a garden variety socialist (weed) with little understanding of anything.
I've noticed it as well and my sentiments exactly
Bring down Albo: vote no.
What a pity they never wrote it all down...65000 years sheez
Genetically only fifty thousand years old, and share that with the png highlanders.
Earliest date of occupation here at fifty five thousand years.
Its not just the voice proposal that is based on bs, its their image of themselves.
The rest of us had ancestors then as well
Hahaha...and this wonderful PM is a local edition of Brandon!
It is all hearsay. No proof at all!
Trying to push it to 120,000 yrs with the latest 'research'. All based on a single burnt tree stump in Vic.
Knocking on doors for this referrendum is a crazy and possibly dangerous activity whether for yes or no. Too much anger out there.
Also risk of Covid spreaders …I’m not answering my door to this unsolicited junk , and covid risk
Sorry but none of those people looked disadvantaged.
7 Adults in a govt free house + Centrelink for each
Albanese will go down in history as the only Prime Minister to divide a Nation. What is their agenda, as there is more in this Voice than meets the eyes?
Probably making us a republic, I'd say
Pearson keeps all of the Government funding for himself with the usual commission for Burney.
Exactly what the Voice is. Bureaucrats having the voice and lining their pockets with taxpayers money, while no change to average aboriginals.
I hope those door knockers knock on my door! I got a few things I want to tell them.
The yes campaigners better not knock on my door. They will be eviscerated
Anything the government wants so much should alert the voters that it’s definitely not in their best interests. If the big banks and institutions are for it - well it is definitely not in the interests of the people
Andrew, when is somebody going to tell people like Pearson that if it wasn`t for us, they WOULD NOT BE HERE!
65,000 years of the stone age. Living history.
they only made stick age not quite stone
They better stay away from my door!
Pearson is now showing he is not an honourable man.
Will Albo step down when yes vote fails?
Step down? He won't even have enough time to fall on his sword! The knives will be out.... which one will be Brutus?
@@joneff9713 We should hold a lottery for the privilege. The Governor General could make a fortune from the sale of tickets, and raise enough money to pay off the national debt.
On 4 September..we are going to have ‘R U Okay’ Day.. well, under current government .. no doubt , right now, more than 70% people who are living in Australia are feeling ‘Not Okay’ because pressure of cost living and other matters. 😌
But all these professional liars will hypnotize you to say we are well! We have never been as good as we feel under the current PM! Let's go Brandon!
I'm voting No. And the more they try to tell Australians what to do, the more Australians will vote No.
so here's to the NO vote
Those for the YES case should give us 3 examples of how the advice from previous aboriginal lobby groups was ignored and money then wasted. Please give us some examples
Yes. So much money wasted over the years...and the results? None. And the same band of politicos tell us they will do better now once we sign them officially in and give them fat paychecks! You cannot make this up. Let's go Brandon and thanks for petrol now over $ 2.00 a litre! Great! Let's go Brandon!
Couldn't agree more Andrew
WOW he is the first PM of Australia who is totally delusional 50 years ago he would be committed. They did this in Africa and look what happened there.
Please ask NOEL PEARSON HOW MUCH RACISM HE ENCOUNTERED WHEN SHOPPING AT NOOSA MARKETS NONE THATS HOW MUCH
Albo is a 🪿 goose...
He always has been!
I want to know how companies can use millions of dollars of shareholder money to push one side of the argument. Did they get approval from the shareholders? It seems criminal to me.
Albo thinks he’s a rockstar, when he’s nothing but a grub
You might be right there big dude. And Andrew Bolt is the patron saint of common sense.
Vote yes for your parliamentary representatives to crawl all over the lawn and yes for some of the others to siphon the lush pickings into personal bank accounts. The rest of us will just keep paying our dreaded taxes to keep this great rip off going. Hurray for Australia, the land of equality and a once egalitarian society.
You are so right Andrew. A lot of the Aboriginal elite are rolling in money and we need to know where has all the money gone from taxpayers' funds and mining royalties. Yunupingu was apparently worth tens of millions of dollars or more. How did he and his family accumulate that wealth?
Pocketing mining royalties.
Not too mention his two personal helicopters and a permanent pilot on standby , what a rort .
So glad Prime Minister Albanese was able to announce the date in a room full of acolytes.
Our PM is a peanut.
I totally agree- I can’t stand peanuts 🥜
Half a TRILLION through the last 15 years. Think about that.
I'm 7 th generation here, going back 223 years... What does that make me?
it makes you someone who has to be Welcomed to Country multiple times a year. It most likely also makes you a taxpayer to fund a transfer of your money to another group of people based on race and culture.
@@davexb6595 That's what I thought too..
That big war chest would provide meals and basic shelter to a lot of homeless Australians. I fear The Voice will be increasing cost to run another Gov body and more bureaucracy. We still don't really know how it will work. Grass Roots Voice to a Regional Group Voice, to a State Voice, to Voice to Parliament? Where does it become a paid job to get these Voices to Parliament. More cost at the top and less to those in need will be the result. The only message from the Voice is we need better outcomes on Housing, Health, Education and Employment. That's really consistent for every Australian, times are tough.
Vote NO to the un Australian con job.
That's like saying "it's not about race, but redheads will get preferred treatment everywhere".
Unless it hollywood where they are race swap with blacks.
Bloody 'rangas.
Randy redheads, that makes sense.
I expect nsw and sa to vote yes. Anywhere there is a large population of non rural aboriginals. The blindfolded people in the suburbs and citys that dont know whats going on around them are voting yes. I was surprised to see that act was split. I expected them to vote yes but i guess the corruption of dan andrews has open their eyes to our government. To be clear, Im voting no
Don't know about that, I live in Adelaide and I know not one person that is going to vote Yes!
I think that's a bit presumptuous of you. Certain players in this debacle, would have you think SA supports the Voice, but not everyone in the 'burbs are as blindfolded as you think. Disregard the polls.
Exactly city people don't know how they behave on this free ride
65,000 years of history now that's another 5,000 years they have just added.
I identify as indigenous. Or whatever band wagon gives me the best bang for my buck.
Throw in trans and you've got it made 😏
I couldn't watch the end. My skin started to 'crawl'.
It makes me sick 🤢🤢🤢
Correction Aurukun does not support Noel Pearson Cape York. I lived and worked there for 2 years. Aurukun is the most remote and violent indigenous community in Australia. All the houses are rentals from Dept of Housing.
Keep up the truth Skynews doing a great job
That should be illegal to knock on doors..No different to power company harassment..VOTE NO
But then those nice Jehovah's Witness people could not come around and knock on doors in order to be abused, and they appear to like it.
