Hey Lee, Glad your surgery went well! I hear you on the "work around" for rehab. I had open heart surgery, 2 months ago, because I needed to have a heart valve replaced. I cannot lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk, right now. But I still walk to the gym (60 min round trip) and do some lower body - bodyweight exercises, since I cant lift. I also walk to my cardiac rehab sessions (70 min round trip). Just the walking makes me feel better and keeps up my motivation. Paul is a great motivator, as well. Looking forward to lifting again. Take care, Rob
During COVID I got to my leanist physique ever. I couldn't go out and eat junk food anymore so I just ate nothing but healthy food at home and I would exercise at the park I got shredded like that.
That was still your choice, because as you know most people managed to find some "junk food" to eat during covid. The sales of processed junk food, soda, booze, etc. were at all time record highs during the pandemic years.
@TotalFitnessBodybuilding yes, at the time I only ate junk food outside the house so psychologically I couldn't eat junk food in the house but I couldn't leave the apartment so I just ate clean for three months. It's difficult to explain. We have a new normal now and I'll eat junk foods at home on occasion now. My rule of thumb is that I don't keep junk foods inside my apartment. I only have healthy foods on hand. If it's time for a cheat meal, I'll go get it bring it home, eat it, and then move on with life
