I have one too. Great scope. I like that is light weight and its easy to transport since it collapses. I 3d printed a crayford focuser and a new secondary mirror holder for mine and now its even better.
Thanks for the video!!! i have the same telescope and using it for astrophotography a lot too, i notice the tracking drifts on the telescope over time which i was unable to solve it except manually moving it on the syscan app to get the telescope back on track, i notice you use Synscan USB Adapter to solve this problem, did you just connect the pc with the adapter directly and use the synscan app or you have used a different control software and connect method? thank you !
@@hooxi1617 i connect from the adapter to the pc and then use synscan normmaly, but i switch from network to serial in the connect settings and choose the correct COM port
I find there is a lot of play when trying to manually position the OTA even when the knobs are tightened. Did you move your focuser. I just wish the smoke and clouds would go away here in the Northern Plains.
Thinking About buying this... The drifting you mention. Do you think it needs a firmware update ? Do you regret the purchase? or Think you may have gone with another model ? Thank you for the content.
That’s awesome. I hope to get on some day. Have fun with that thing man

Do you care to make a UA-cam video on your Mods and the process of putting it together. I am looking for improvements

Super vidéo
Hey, Love the video. I was wondering if I should buy this or a Nexstar 4se for planetary imaging. do you have a recommendation?
@@LeviAstrophotography this is better, more aperture will resolve better details and it is also cheaper
@@universewonders1 thanks 🙏
can i replace the focuser? it gives me a lot of issues since i dont have a square sensor (imx585)
Not worth it and very risky if you do so
@@universewonders1 how is it risky? and imo it is worth it
Very nice scope. Not crazy about the focuser, though.
Yeah the focuser is its weakness, a rack and pinion is miles better, but can still work with it

The play is totally normal
This telescope is on sale for $395, absolutely worth it

@@defkon99 if youre using it for visual it is good even with wifi, no i dont regret the purchase i still use it as i mentioned in the video aswell
2:27 do you have the link to buy it? And is it worth it to buy for visual astronomy?
No dont bother for visual, its only needed for imaging
