Downloaded 12.3 to car yesterday morning and it is vastly better. Using auto speed this morning it sped up from 45 in a 45 mph zone to 56 to get past a semi to make an upcoming right turn. Lots of behavior changes in this version with zero interventions.
Just got V12.3 last night. 2 drives so far its vastly improved over V11. I see myself using it much more. No interventions on thise 2 drives. Have one more planned for later today.
I drove across town and back last night on V12.3. It did really well except for a couple things. It pulled into the wrong parking lot for my destination (turned off too early), and the worst was it went straight through 2 huge potholes at highway speed. I thought the wheels were going to come off! It doesn't look like Tesla is going to do anything to avoid potholes.
I totally agree with your assessment ... we just got v12.3 last night and it's a total game-changer ... buttery-smooth turns, feels super humanlike ... makes very few mistakes - and I did notice that using the automatic speed control mostly worked, although on occasion, I thought it was going just a tad slower than I'd like ...but you do have the option of not using that feature ... we need to do more experimentation, but overall - WOW!
Great video as usual! Prospective Tesla buyer here. I've been reading some complaints on Tesla forums and reddits that due to NHTSA crackdown, Tesla nags aggressively now. Users have been complaining that despite keeping their hand on the wheel, the system threshold for nagging has been set too low, to the point that it requires regular torque to the steering and even then small movements aren't sufficient and when they apply a bigger torque the AP/FSD turns off. Likewise, even for things like using the central screen such as changing the HVAC temperature triggers the warning. Is this something you've encountered? I notice that in your case you had your hands mostly off and there were no unfair nags
FSD Beta 12.3 came through last night. I've also noticed the change in the right stalk function. Also, it seems to take RR crossings at a more reasonable speed. I would still like it to keep closer to the righthand side of the road on unmarked roads. I will be driving from Fairfield IA to Forest Hill MD beginning April 18th. I have made the round trip 7 times so it will be a good opportunity to test 12.3's improvements.
I’ve driven on those streets in Marion before! I have a couple friends just off that Kim and Go. I’m still waiting for FSD12.3 but really don’t like the idea of no more TACC. I don’t like the idea of it being all or nothing
Edit: no, I was mistaken. Single pull is the only option now when FSD Beta is enabled. Boooooo. Double pull definitely still works when you have that set. I’m keeping that because I like the TACC too.
I would love to know your opinion on RoboTaxi. I grew up in a small town I Iowa, but have called South Korea home for the last 35 years. When fielding RoboTaxi I believe that Tesla should not release it in San Francisco or other large cities first, but concentrate on the flyover states like Iowa. Roads are simple, low traffic, no real competition from Uber or Lyft. It's not going to make a ton of money, but they will get data and miles, and miles of accident free data. Would love to know your opinion.
(Update: 12.3.3 fixed autopark) - Not happy. FSD v12 removed autopark from my 2022 Y ultra sonic sensor car. As if FSD V12 is a Tesla-vision release sent to non-tesla-vision cars.
Please be careful. As FSD starts to get really good and close to true autonomous driving, it will actually be MORE dangerous for FSD owners. This is because many will start to trust it as a level 4 / 5 driving system - when in reality it is still a level 2 (albeit much improved) system. Continue to be vigilant - even more so than before - and don’t be lulled into a false sense of security as FSD enters this new more dangerous phase of development.
"Best Version Yet by Far" But still requires supervision *every* *second* on the road. Still many human interventions required, when driving thru non-ideal and non-easy conditions.

2:25 you can still change the speedlimit by flipping the scroll wheel up and down. It will just take 5 seconds to react.

Thanks for another great video. You have me wanting to pull the trigger for a couple months to try the FSD 12.3.
I’m honestly glad you’re finally able to try it. I use it everyday and just wow some long drives with 0 disengagements 🎉

Got v12.3 today.
Unfortunately lane drift is still a thing 😢
It still turns into incorrect turn lanes without signaling! Hopes it’s fixed soon!

Downloading it now, looking forward to a family drive tonight to check it out!
Highway is still non-fsd stack fyi
If I were you I would use FSD to drive me to Carver to go see CC in the big dance.
Well well made video!!! Thank you!!!
I watched you other video too. Keep it up. Great video and commentary. Thanks.
I appreciate that!
Next challenge: Park the car at the end of a drive. And also possibility to put the car in return...
More more❤
I'm still waiting for update 😢
Edit: Just got it!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lol Kum and Go

What setting are you running on?
Does it have to PERFECT?
A human driver can go for years, driving every day, without any accidents.
FSD should be capable of that too.
For me it’s crap. First 3 mins it was confused and just stopped. Done with FSD.
