Wow! Mega Man commercials in Japan were awesome! Not that I needed any help with this as a kid but if I had saw those back then, the hype would've been unquantifiable! "Fight, Mega Man! For everlasting peace!"
GTV I really hope it's a new game! But seeing that may be stretch, I'd be satisfied with a Battle Network collection for a modern console. Fingers crossed! And no problem! :(
The first time I got into Mega Man was during the spring of 2017, just less than a year to Mega Man's 30th aniversery, and my local Libary had the Legacy Collection of the first 6 Megaman games. I enjoyed it so much that I would rent it 4 times until getting my own copy. I would then get the 2nd Legacy Collection that had 7 - 10. Then Mega Man and Bass, Then 11. I've memorized the names of the Robot Masters Then the 8 Megaman X games. Then the Zero and ZX games. I saw the 90's Cartoon, the 3 OVAs. downloaded the first 6 games on my phone and the sountracks to the 10 games. I've read the archie comics, and what ever manga scans where avalible. And I've replayed these games multible times. Easily among my all time favorite video game franchises.
Awesome! Thanks for watching it. I just released it a few hours ago. How far did you get on the first time? There’s a bug that helps you if you hit pause rapidly while attacking it really weakens some big enemies
Great feature there Sir, Kudos :) I only had Mega Man 1 that I found for sale at an open car fair of all things as a kid, but did you ever notice all the European art from Mega Man 3 onwards, he has a different face?

Awesome job. Just what I was hoping it would be. Never knew so many titles existed. I've played all the main series, x series, and zero. But man, who knew that was only the tip of the mega iceberg. Great job!!!!
I'm one of the only people I know who grew up with the first Mega Man before the second. A neighbor had it, and we'd play for hours on his 5 inch B&W tv. I didn't play the second one until a few years later with a cousin, missed the rest of the NES entries, then picked up X1. Great platform games, if you don't care about the thin story.
Excellent video, man! I'm a sucker for history videos like this. This is probably my 2nd favorite video of yours, next to the Kid Icarus one. I love all of the remixes you used. And I prefer Mega Man II over III for one simple reason: the music. Capcom changed up the tones for their music, I believe beginning with Mega Man III, using a lot more treble and way too much percussion. I recently played it a few weeks ago to capture footage and some of the music just plain makes me cringe. Like nails on a chalkboard. Ever since then, Capcom NES games released afterwards all adopted that same new sound, and is the reason why I didn't like their games that much anymore.
Thanks dude. That’s a good point. In the interview I used for this there was a fight about the music in 2. AK wanted darker themes and Inafune made it poppier and he won out inthe end. The remixes came fry’s special soundtrack set. Some are from the ps1 games but the opening I used was not. There will be more history videos for as long as there are 30th anniversary, which will be for a long time

That is absolutely insane that the best game in the entire NES series was only made in 4 months, with the team not even being able to dedicate that time fully to the game. That is just crazy. How they were able to pull that off in only four short months and still make the very best entry in the series is beyond me.
Proto Man was actually based off of Racer X from Speed Racer. Even his backstory is the same (he’s megaman’s older brother who ran away from home and put on a disguise)
Yea that’s true! And Proto and Racer X look the same! Have you ever heard of Anpanman? It’s a kids show but there’s two characters in that one that are just like Megaman and Protoman / Speed and Racer X. It seems like there’s many folk tales of other brothers who are exiled and maybe are on the side of evil but can’t betray the family. It’s very common in Japanese culture over and over. *Fighting robot MegaMan*
The instruction booklet for the original tells a different origin story
Yea it’s crazy. I covered it in a later video. Monsteropolis and it’s seven societies and all
That insane stuff. Who wrote that??? Thanks for watching and my next video will be about MegaMan again. So come back on 11/29! ⚡️
I was wondering why Einstein would be the inspiration for the villain and then remembered Japan might have a more complicated view on the genius.
Hmm I don’t know but that’s what they went with. Thanks for watching
I just noticed one of Rock Man's i mean Mega Nan's characters is based off of the Super Mario's Hammer Brothers
Hammerman?
Gaijillionaire. Hamner man should be a new character lol
Hammerman was a cartoon show long long ago too
Gaijillionaire. Ya know megaman back then wasn't a mab he was a YOUNG man so hes megaboy but now hes 31 so hes a megaman
Hah good point. In the novelization he is 10 so if he aged from 1987 he’d be 40 or 41 now
I've played the 6 mega man games on the mega man legacy collection its a classic
Timeless
In that big game list.. no PC ports of Megaman X? And you put in Street Fighter X Megaman(a fan game) but not Rockman Strategy?
I guessed I miss a few then. Sorry about that
Great Stuff!
