So, I've done some research on Sarsour's tweets, and there's also this one, which isn't mentioned in your article: twitter.com/lsarsour/status/719301817771892737, in which she says that Sharia is generally misunderstood. This is news to me. However, I don't think it's fair in any way to compare modern interpretations (such as Sarsour's) of Sharia with ISIS. They are radically different. ISIS have a medieval interpretation of islam, so saying that Sarsour=ISIS is a bit like saying that if you're a Christian, you support crusades. So, I've done some research on Sarsour's tweets, and there's also this one, which isn't mentioned in your article: twitter.com/lsarsour/status/719301817771892737, in which she says that Sharia is generally misunderstood. This is news to me. However, I don't think it's fair in any way to compare modern interpretations (such as Sarsour's) of Sharia with ISIS. They are radically different. ISIS have a medieval interpretation of islam, so saying that Sarsour=ISIS is a bit like saying that if you're a Christian, you support crusades.
