I'm going to Vegas in a couple weeks and it's been a while since i played and even back then a friend was kinda telling me what to do while we were playing. In the end I ended up winning some money. I've been watching a lot of Craps videos lately since I'm a beginner and I've learned a lot from watching your live Craps videos. Great vids. What are using to record? Your phone?
I hope not. I've benefited from the Box not paying attention to dealers mistakes. Besides, the casino takes advantage of us, not only through the vig, but through other "methods", why shouldn't we do likewise?

Clunkmess, are you tipping each roll because your having a good session? I usually wait till I color out and total up.... if I’m down they get zip...but on a good session, if they have been friendly and professional , I’ll give 10% up to 50.

Make sure the table as crowded. Settle in at the table for a while before taking out your camera. It's a gamble whether they'll notice you or not. Try to get as much footage as you can before they tell you to put it away :-)
You need to be betting place bets on 5, 6, 8, and 9! Your bankroll will increase MUCH faster with all those numbers being hit! You're missing out on A LOT!
Here's a fun strategy. Instead of playing the Pass line just throw $8 on all the hardways $2 X$4. Always keep them working. Eventually 1 or 2 will hit. You'll either make $14 or $18 depending the odds,but you only spent $8 compared to a $10 pass line bet with odds. It's a low risk bet if you loose and highly profitable when those hardways start hitting. Did somebody say parlay? =)
Derek Bamford Why give the casino money in general?. Pass line,hardways,field,horns,etc eventually your gonna loose one way or another. I'm aware that the hardways are considered "sucker bets". I didn't say this was the "best" strategy but factor this. The hardways are non contract bets. Your pass line bet isn't. At anytime if your not confident with the gameplay just ask the dealer to to take them down.
This may be fun, but it's not a smart. The Pass Line only has a 1.41% house advantage, and if you back it up with 5X odds, the HA goes down to only 0.32%. The hardways carry either an 11.11% house edge (for 4 & 10) or 9.09% (for 6 & 8). It's a no brainer to me. I stay away from the middle of the table.

I've seen 10 field rolls in a row then the shooter sevens out. I've seen 6 crap rolls in a row before the shooter makes their point. You can live by those stats or go by your gut. If you're serious about craps, I would read John Patrick's book "So You Wanna Be a Gambler". It will completely change your view of the game, and really make you think about the bets you make.
I don't EVER play at a table where the pit boss is AT the table. My favorite is the Rio suites, Balleys and Cromwell. Quad used to be o.k until they moved the tables out back, the action really slowed down.

At 19:59 you yelled out " HARD EIGHT" on the come out roll, right before he launched the dice. I hate when people do that. You're lucky he didn't crap out.
Went to Casino Royale in Vegas several months back. Threw $800 on the table, you would think I was a high roller. Love those 100 to 1 odds. Place is a pit but can't ignore the odds. Made $600 in 15 minutes. Would have made more but the 85 yr old dealer didn't remind me to cover my #4 come bet w/ odds since I was teaching others I was with the game. I was pissed since the four came out again on the next roll. Shit, why do a come bet w/ no backing? Get some legit dealers at that place. AC needs a place like this. Best odds are Bally's at 10 to 1 and the dealers are awesome. If they did 100 to 1, they would be packed every day.

I have a question in terms of the rules, because there is one situation I do not understand. Watch from beginning 16:50. Theres a bet on the Come. He rolls a five and the Come bet is moved to the five. Then he adds some odds to it. But now the 5 shows up again, and in my understanding, the come bet on five should pay 1:1 for the bet and 3:2 for the odds and be removed. But it simply stays there until it is seven out in the next roll.
So what happened there was he had $10 on the come with what looks like full odds on it ($20). Then he won. But what you don't see is that he had another $10 come bet. In which case us dealers will pay $10 + $30 for the odds. So $40 off and on. Basically instead of taking the come bet out and placing it in again with the new come bet we just leave it there and pay out to the come bet on the come.
Yep, what PsyQoBoy below said - you can see the dealer pay the guy, but the camera prevents you from seeing him pay him $40. $10 for his flat $10 Come bet and $30 for his $20 odds. (He pays him right next to his current Come bet)
craps played perfectly gives you a close to 50% odds with the house, even better than perfect played blackjack, unless you're card counting which then gives you 51%+ odds

Of course you can! I've only played the card variation of craps once and it wasn't fun at all. The most fun part of dice craps is your bet can last a long time. The card variation is nearly an instant outcome, resulting in shorter time for your wager.
It's such a shame Craps is so hard to find at a European casino. I think the fact one table needs four(!) dealers is probably part of the reason, Roulette everywhere...just needs one croupier.

+ddd228 odds aren't free man, granted there is no house advantage on them but they still cost money. The term "free odds" comes from having place bets and a come bet. When the next number comes your winning place bet pays for the odds on your come bet and could be justified as "free odds" or for example betting the field on the come out and a 10 rolls. You can then use that winning field bet to pay for your odds on the point 10
+iBasherz Watch where the dealer places your bet. Theres room for 8 players at each table end. Each Place Bet square he can put 2 rows of 4 bets. If you watch, youll see he places your bets in the same place on each different square.

As far as I'm aware, there's nothing wrong with filming. It doesn't impact the game, and there's nothing going on that cheaters could use that they don't already know. In fact, they probably don't care, since it's another set of eyes.

Mirage is definitely a classy place to play craps, but my favorite joint on the strip would have to be the MGM Grand!
I stayed and played at MGM. It's OK but if you are a craps player, you want odds. 3,4,5 is not going to make you $. Go to Casino Royale.

On come out rolls, if you took that $1 you give the dealers and put it on “any craps” you’d have more to give at end. ...in my humble opinion.

+ddd228 odds aren't free man, granted there is no house advantage on them but they still cost money. The term "free odds" comes from having place bets and a come bet. When the next number comes your winning place bet pays for the odds on your come bet and could be justified as "free odds" or for example betting the field on the come out and a 10 rolls. You can then use that winning field bet to pay for your odds on the point 10
+JonBenait06 I totally agree!!! The bet pays the exact odds on the FREE odds bet. It is not an advantage bet at all. NONE of them are.

+iBasherz Watch where the dealer places your bet. Theres room for 8 players at each table end. Each Place Bet square he can put 2 rows of 4 bets. If you watch, youll see he places your bets in the same place on each different square.

As far as I'm aware, there's nothing wrong with filming. It doesn't impact the game, and there's nothing going on that cheaters could use that they don't already know. In fact, they probably don't care, since it's another set of eyes.
