When you slow it down, you're staying under the break of the reed. That's more of a short moan with a cluck. A quick spit, as well as a regular spit note, stays above the break for both parts of the note. Overall a good take on how it's a two-part note.
Do a cluck and moan on your call and listen to him do a spit note at the same time and tell me if they are different. Maybe post a video of you doing it for everyone proving your point and drop the link in this thread. 1000 ways to skin a cat dude but that is not the same call
