Just received mine, has no gap at the top. Feels sturdy and of high quality. Easily the best device I've used to date. it doesn't even pulse above 150w it actually feels like it is kicking out 213. definitely recommend
Depends on wattage settings and Ohm reading. Check to make sure reading is accurate. Make sure and lock the resistance in as well. This mods TC is based on F not C so it can be a little different. I found with mine running it a little hotter than I do on say a DNA solved the issue. If not go into the menu and adjust the Temp Compensation. This is done mainly by feel of course but start out around +20* and work it up until you think it is right. Setting the correct Preheat time and wattage is important as well. I set mine at 85watts for 1.66 seconds on a coil I would normally run at 60watts. Hope all the helps...
I recently bought the Fuchai 213 with a Smok TFV8. I bought it all at Violet Vapor in Burleson, TX. The mod was $80 and the TFV8 was$50. All together with 2 Sony VTC6 batteries and 170ml of juice (1 30ml and 1 140ml. I got the 30ml for $1 with a bonus reward they sent me) was $198. Love both the tank and mod. Great flavor and amazing clouds.
Picked up my Sigelei last night with the new tfv8 tank and baby is she a beauty combo. This thing fires the v8 beast coils at 120w and the battery life was great (over 12 hours of heavy use). No gap on mine. Solid mod def worth the money
Just an FYI The release version of this mod has a few problems. The RELEASE version TCR values are wrong. Screen glitches and misfires. You need to go to their web site to see the work around you need to do to make it work. They also released a fixed version called Fuchai 213 with everything working the way it is suppose to minus the wrap. You can read their spin on it at their site. Bottom line is Pre production all seem to work fine. Production has these problems.
Mine has no gaps. The only issue I had with mine is the cloudy top coat on the CF but a trip to the detailing section of my garage cured that. 5000 grit, M6, M21 and M26 on top. Looks like glass and now the weave is visible.

Buyer beware I had an issues with my fuchai 200w the TC controls were not working correctly. I contacted the US warranty Center. They sent me a mailing label and had me send them my unit. They received my unit on May 9, 2016. In the time since then I have received 1 email saying they are working on the problem and one phone call saying they are not sure what they are going to do fix mine or send me a new one. Almost 20 days later I have sent several emails and when I call them their voice mail box is full. Other than their email or phone number I have not found a way to contact them. I did not want to make this post but I hope this will let people know that their customer service is really unreliable at best.

You can reach easily 200 watts on dual 18650 if you slap a 0.20 ohm coil on a unregulated series you are gaping around 200-300 watts depending on voltage drop the reason why some box mods are inaccurate is because they don't use the right size wire when wiring the board.
Con(s): TCR & Resistance lock is a joke for SS316L. 155 Watts is max. Main board has leads from the USB which works well for balanced charging, but the leads were cutoff to the main processor which means no firmware updates. Why would Sigelei cut those leads and still sell this at $100.00?

When I firsy got it out of the box, I got 60watts but now I go around 70 to 100 and i just get 28g kanthal with 6 wraps and boy it works grea and I can even go upto 213 with this coils. I just air master drip ao that it stays cool
Gyumin Hyun Thanks bud... I only build with *SS316L*. The only safe way for me to use this 155 watt device is in TFR Mode. I didn't spend this kind of money for PWR mode.
Awesome Review of the product. I learned more about the mod than the kid at the shop could even show me. Fixed my issued with the MOD defaulting to 100ws on the temp mode and compensating the temp by 112 degrees. The ramp up and down was way too high on all settings and the wattage mode was just messed up to right out of the box. I run the cleito 120 clearomizer tank and now it is working great.
Ok so after the scandal came out, If we are new to vaping and just want a good quality compact removable 18650 vape, if accurate TC control is not a big deal (just an o.k TC control is good enough for us) and vaping at 150w is our upper limit (we don't really care or need to vape at 200w as originally advertised, we are cool with 150w) would you highly recommend this for us?
I ended up getting a Smok Alien 220w instead along with a TFV8 and I can say I dodged a massive bullet, lucky I didn't get the sigelei 213. The smok alien 220 is really good, I love it, it's got tc mode , puff counter, shut off mode and more ergonomic to use. And the firing bar is so much better than a firing button. I def would recommend the smok alien 220 over the sigelei.
Absolutely. I've had mine for several months and it is still performing extremely well. I've put mine through hell and the only issue I am having is the paint along the metal color inserts is beginning to come off in spots.

We have 3 of these in my household. None of them have gaps. We have been having major issues with ours. When we first got them all 3 would misfire constantly. Also all 3 had issues with the firing button getting stuck after taking a drag. We sent them all for warranty and just got them back yesterday. Same issues with all 3. We will be sending them back again and hopefully get them fixed. We like the device but the issues are getting annoying.
I'm liking all the options on this mod. Seems much easier to setup your custom wire and temp control than opposed to setting up my DNA 200 through E-Scribe.
I've had this mod for about 6 months now, never a problem with it, besides a lack of great operating instructions. They basically say how to charge, install batteries, and turn on/off. All the options I am still pretty much clueless on, well with this video im a bit more informed. mine does have the small gap on top. I ordered some pre wrapped stainless single core clapton wire, but I have no idea which of the 3 SS setting to use as the wire does not specify what it is outside of the Gauges used.
I have the gold edition and it has no gap! Using it with the SubZero RDA and it hits hard. Yes, the preheat adjustment is sick. I used to have the Suprimo and let it go because I heard this was in production. Glad I made the decision. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade or pick up a new box.
This mod is very beautiful and fits well in the hand. The gunmetal and CF finish is so sexy and it has oodles of power for any vaper with its 35A 213W limits. The buttons are nice and the 510 is pretty good but I use spacers on all of my long pin atties. The screen is very bright and works fine in daylight. Preheat is fantastic. BUT. The negatives are will never be a firmware update available for this device. Only 3 of the 5 TCR functions work. The TCR values are different to std so you need to go to the sig website converter to make it work. 13 second screen timer and if you fire at the same time it turns off it misfires. There is no timer adjustment, dimming or stealth option for the screen. None of these problems will ever be fixed by firmware as Sig has stated this is not firmware upgradable and confirmed the other mods using the same chip, fuchai, j150, snowwolf etc, will not have firmware upgrades. If you want the best looking 2x 18650 mod that is small, light and fits well in the hand and dont care so much about TCR or the 13 second misfire then this is a decent buy. I doubt I'll ever buy Sig again.
I have the sigelei 213. Mine isn't the sample it's the finalized product. Gun metal same as the one in the video and it is flawless. Hits constant and every setting you need. Sigelei also fixed that gap problem you said at the end of your video. Mine doesn't have any gap
I absolutely love this mod. Small enough to fit in my pocket, and the same size as some single 18650 mods. A bit thicker, but it fits your hand and the new larger RDAs and RTAs look great on it. I haven't tried TC yet. I love the carbon fibre. The display is freakin beautiful; bright, clear, and gives you a ton of info. It quickly became my favorite mod. No gaps on mine. Only problem I have had is once in a while, the fire button will not fire. When I press it again, it works fine. I'm hoping it is a firmware issue that can be resolved. Happens about once every 15 minutes.
+Logan Knoblauch mine doesn't seem to be doing it as much as it used to, couple times a day. 2nd click and it fires fine. some weird glitch I guess, maybe it will go away with the next revision. It isn't a big deal for me, still love it!!
It's good to see Sigelei is still putting out quality products in the face of all the DNA 200s, even if it is a fake 213W. I still believe the DNA 200 is the best chip currently on the market and is the most future proof device as of now but to see Sigelei pump out a quality product.
I loves this mod... For about 5 months. Battery post problem.. Always had to fart with the door to power it up. Might try going the warranty route but in the meantime I'm not looking at anymore by this company.
No gap on the final product. Have owned my 213 for 3 weeks now, great mod. Surprised that out of all the options in the menu that there isn't a "bypass" option but is definitely not a deal breaker by any means.
I have a Sigelei 213 and no gap at all. I did have a small issue where the firing button got stuck and I had to realign it with a letter opener and haven't had a single issue since.
Telling y'all right now - I've had it finally for two weeks and I own 2 other Sigs the 100watt Plus still works after 2 years and the Sig150tc going on a year both with daily use dripping, this definitely is THE best Sigelei ever - the preheat is amazing and the quality 👍

Own one, love it, no gap at the top. Still haven't dabbled in temp control tho as I use RDAs and this is the first device I own that can do tc still researching it
The gap on mine is nowhere near that big, it's barely a half millimeter looks like. This box is $80 in my area, got some LG batteries in it and running a Tobeco 25mm Super Tank with a Nic Klapton 24ct gold plated atomizer and honestly it's worth every penny. This thing is a damn champ and the battery life is off the charts.
Just picked my 213 up yesterday. Absolutely love it so far! Mine does have the gap at the top like in the video, however, it is MUCH smaller. (probably couldn't fit a sheet of paper in it) Thanks for the awesome review!
I ordered mine the day vapordna released it... I have no gap at the top of mine. Easily my favorite mod, I should grab another one and keep it in the box in case I break this one, because for the size, feel, and functions I don't see myself wanting anything else. All my other mech mods and regulated devices have been collecting dust since I got this.
the only bug ive noticed so far is random misfires, at first i thought i had a bad unit but was able to replicate with others as well - if you keep firing and catch it right when the screen turns off, it will misfire, release and fire again and you're set.. i dont really mind since i know how to watch out for it, hopefully a FW will address this issue !!
Yes it has that gap as well. But despite that, I can say now, after a year of owning it that it is a great mod and can take quite some punishment, as I happened to drop it quite a few times. The only unpleasant effects of the fall are its batteries coming out, however the door held just fine. This is a very robust product and quite comfortable in the hand. I can't see any defects in its design, or function other than somewhat messed up temperature control settings and the fact that to vape at 80 Watts you have to vape at 110 on this one. But otherwise it's a good piece of work. It never makes sense to buy the product until it's been at least 6 months from its release date, so when I bought this one it was because positive reports piled in by then. In this trade where a new model is released every year and an old one discontinued, companies sometimes make flimsy models that will only last 6 months to a year, so it's better not to take risks to buy something that just came out.
This mod has been passed around my buddies for about a year. Honestly, best mod we've had. It's held together amazing. Sure the finish may start to face but the battery door is still good as new, no gap. No rattle. Amazing mod, very durable.

Hey man, great review. Looking at my Sigelei 213 I do see a bit of a gap on the top end of it. I use a tsunami 24 RDA and sometimes a Smok TFV8 but the gap doesn't really effect how it runs!
I don't have a gap on mine however mine is glitching quite a bit. Ill hit the power button and it wont fire sometimes. The menu will also display the previous menu in the background of the current one. Im planing on sending using the warranty on mine.
Hey Rip, I think you should start taking into account the on-board charging capabilities in box-mods.My RX200 offers on-board charging but it unbalances the batteries pretty bad so I had to go out and buy an external charger.Peace.

Rip, If you built a .17 ohm coil @ 6 volts you could get 213 watts. It is possible, but there's a very small window on these devices you could do it. At least they tell you it can do a max of 7.5 volts ... Or 35 amps. All I've really got to say is that it's good it's regulated. Too many people are messing with unregulated mods that shouldn't. I agree that it's not always true, and they should be called "high wattage devices." Thanks for your reviews!

Mjr Burn do you know how to use temp control? When I put nickel coils on and change it to Ni200 or TCR is barely fires the coil.

my mod is horrible. misfires the pre heat temp control doesn't work screen glitches. ill never get a sigelei product again

I ordered some pre wrapped stainless single core clapton wire, but I have no idea which of the 3 SS setting to use as the wire does not specify what it is outside of the Gauges used.
I have the gold edition and it has no gap! Using it with the SubZero RDA and it hits hard. Yes, the preheat adjustment is sick. I used to have the Suprimo and let it go because I heard this was in production. Glad I made the decision. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade or pick up a new box.
This mod is very beautiful and fits well in the hand. The gunmetal and CF finish is so sexy and it has oodles of power for any vaper with its 35A 213W limits. The buttons are nice and the 510 is pretty good but I use spacers on all of my long pin atties. The screen is very bright and works fine in daylight. Preheat is fantastic. BUT.
The negatives are will never be a firmware update available for this device. Only 3 of the 5 TCR functions work. The TCR values are different to std so you need to go to the sig website converter to make it work. 13 second screen timer and if you fire at the same time it turns off it misfires. There is no timer adjustment, dimming or stealth option for the screen. None of these problems will ever be fixed by firmware as Sig has stated this is not firmware upgradable and confirmed the other mods using the same chip, fuchai, j150, snowwolf etc, will not have firmware upgrades.
If you want the best looking 2x 18650 mod that is small, light and fits well in the hand and dont care so much about TCR or the 13 second misfire then this is a decent buy.
I doubt I'll ever buy Sig again.
I have the sigelei 213. Mine isn't the sample it's the finalized product. Gun metal same as the one in the video and it is flawless. Hits constant and every setting you need. Sigelei also fixed that gap problem you said at the end of your video. Mine doesn't have any gap
I absolutely love this mod. Small enough to fit in my pocket, and the same size as some single 18650 mods. A bit thicker, but it fits your hand and the new larger RDAs and RTAs look great on it. I haven't tried TC yet. I love the carbon fibre. The display is freakin beautiful; bright, clear, and gives you a ton of info. It quickly became my favorite mod. No gaps on mine. Only problem I have had is once in a while, the fire button will not fire. When I press it again, it works fine. I'm hoping it is a firmware issue that can be resolved. Happens about once every 15 minutes.
Mine will misfire too occasionally, but it's only happened to me about 10 times in 3 weeks or so.
+Logan Knoblauch mine doesn't seem to be doing it as much as it used to, couple times a day. 2nd click and it fires fine. some weird glitch I guess, maybe it will go away with the next revision. It isn't a big deal for me, still love it!!
It's good to see Sigelei is still putting out quality products in the face of all the DNA 200s, even if it is a fake 213W. I still believe the DNA 200 is the best chip currently on the market and is the most future proof device as of now but to see Sigelei pump out a quality product.

I loves this mod... For about 5 months. Battery post problem.. Always had to fart with the door to power it up. Might try going the warranty route but in the meantime I'm not looking at anymore by this company.
No gap on the final product. Have owned my 213 for 3 weeks now, great mod. Surprised that out of all the options in the menu that there isn't a "bypass" option but is definitely not a deal breaker by any means.

I have a Sigelei 213 and no gap at all. I did have a small issue where the firing button got stuck and I had to realign it with a letter opener and haven't had a single issue since.
Telling y'all right now - I've had it finally for two weeks and I own 2 other Sigs the 100watt Plus still works after 2 years and the Sig150tc going on a year both with daily use dripping, this definitely is THE best Sigelei ever - the preheat is amazing and the quality 👍
the gap you pointed out is thinner than a piece of paper they also currently sell them with a silicone case included and on the shelf it was $80 totally worth it amazing mod. love your videos. you're my go to for when I need to buy Vape stuff 👌
No gap on mine. Best mod I've bought so far. Immediately made my vape taste better compared to hitting from my Smoktech m80.

this is honestly the best mod i ever bought and i cant see a duel 18650 this small and high quality coming out anytime soon, well worth the money
The gap on mine is nowhere near that big, it's barely a half millimeter looks like. This box is $80 in my area, got some LG batteries in it and running a Tobeco 25mm Super Tank with a Nic Klapton 24ct gold plated atomizer and honestly it's worth every penny. This thing is a damn champ and the battery life is off the charts.

Got mine few weeks ago. Nice device, like it a lot. No gap on mine. But TC mode seems to not working with regular kanthal coil.
Just picked my 213 up yesterday. Absolutely love it so far! Mine does have the gap at the top like in the video, however, it is MUCH smaller. (probably couldn't fit a sheet of paper in it)

I ordered mine the day vapordna released it... I have no gap at the top of mine. Easily my favorite mod, I should grab another one and keep it in the box in case I break this one, because for the size, feel, and functions I don't see myself wanting anything else. All my other mech mods and regulated devices have been collecting dust since I got this.
the only bug ive noticed so far is random misfires, at first i thought i had a bad unit but was able to replicate with others as well - if you keep firing and catch it right when the screen turns off, it will misfire, release and fire again and you're set.. i dont really mind since i know how to watch out for it, hopefully a FW will address this issue !!
Yes it has that gap as well. But despite that, I can say now, after a year of owning it that it is a great mod and can take quite some punishment, as I happened to drop it quite a few times. The only unpleasant effects of the fall are its batteries coming out, however the door held just fine. This is a very robust product and quite comfortable in the hand. I can't see any defects in its design, or function other than somewhat messed up temperature control settings and the fact that to vape at 80 Watts you have to vape at 110 on this one. But otherwise it's a good piece of work. It never makes sense to buy the product until it's been at least 6 months from its release date, so when I bought this one it was because positive reports piled in by then. In this trade where a new model is released every year and an old one discontinued, companies sometimes make flimsy models that will only last 6 months to a year, so it's better not to take risks to buy something that just came out.
This mod has been passed around my buddies for about a year. Honestly, best mod we've had. It's held together amazing. Sure the finish may start to face but the battery door is still good as new, no gap. No rattle. Amazing mod, very durable.
no gap, incredible mod. Only thing I have against it is how fast batteries drain, it might be a matter of how much I've been vaping since having it or the live battery check
I'm pretty sure everywhere I've read has said that the 213 does feature upgradeable firmware, they just haven't released an update yet.

I own the Sigelei Fuchai 213 and there is no gap. Haven't used all the settings yet but by far the best mod I've ever owned.
Mine has a very small gap. Love it so far very happy, small, seems made well, and awesome 510.

I have it. There isn't a gap on it. The only issues I've had so far my power button sticks occasionally. And my smok tfv8 tank leaks a lot...
those hex head screws on top help adjust any gap.

it is real carbon fiber shell, you can see it when you open the battery door and at its catch lip you can see the beautiful carbon fiber :)
I have the final carbon fiber sigelei 213, and there is a slight gap. However mine isn't nearly as big as your sample versions seems to be.

Hey man, great review. Looking at my Sigelei 213 I do see a bit of a gap on the top end of it. I use a tsunami 24 RDA and sometimes a Smok TFV8 but the gap doesn't really effect how it runs!

I don't have a gap on mine however mine is glitching quite a bit. Ill hit the power button and it wont fire sometimes. The menu will also display the previous menu in the background of the current one. Im planing on sending using the warranty on mine.
that gap is an inherent problem with aluminium when machining it and the bit gets dull and the metal gets hot
I just bought a 213 in Black and Gold. I do have the gap at the top like you talked about. Mine isnt as bad as yours but its still there.

Hey Rip, I think you should start taking into account the on-board charging capabilities in box-mods.My RX200 offers on-board charging but it unbalances the batteries pretty bad so I had to go out and buy an external charger.Peace.
I got a small gap on the back side. And I don't have any writing on the battery door. It just has a sticker that says to not use damaged batteries.

The gold version is not brass it doesn't tarnish or anything. Also the final versions don't have that gap at all.

If you built a .17 ohm coil @ 6 volts you could get 213 watts. It is possible, but there's a very small window on these devices you could do it. At least they tell you it can do a max of 7.5 volts ... Or 35 amps.
All I've really got to say is that it's good it's regulated. Too many people are messing with unregulated mods that shouldn't.
I agree that it's not always true, and they should be called "high wattage devices."
