🙌 ESCAPE the Crowds by going Downstream after sliding down the main attraction, A 40’ waterslide. Do check the depth before you do it, water depth changes daily. Stay safe and have fun this 4th of July weekend 🤩🙌
While you’re recommending that people visit, you should also recommend they take a large trash bag to pack out the obvious trash found along the way. The “strange structure” was a geological survey and hydroelectric station. Very close to there, on the connecting ridge, is a cable spanning the creek which used to support a cable car used for measuring stream depths. Further down the road on the right side are the remains of a Boy Scout camp. There used to be a large pond there along with an open-side hut for cooking and sleeping.
It would be nice to include one with every video, especially for that area. Note that exemptions for the Adventure Pass include work, and picking up trash is considered work.
I think Punch Bowls and Stoddard Falls are tied, but it nice to get to the action in 1/4 mile rather than 6.5 miles. The slide is sketchy and wild, I would do it again. Thanks for your support, keep making videos 👍🏻🤩
Awsome video! Almost like it's like it's own tropical place in California.. I'm just wondering about how cold the water is, but I've been in Oak Creek, so of it's not colder than that, then I'm ready to go. You guys deserve way more than the number of views you have at the moment. I'm sure you will soon. 😊
Good question! It's about the same however near the water slide the water is colder because the rock walls are so high it's shaded until around 2:30-3:00 then the sun hits there and it is beautiful !!!thank you for watching😀😀
mt. baldy is a huge part of me because i've spent so many years living at the foot of it. nothing but good times up there throughout my life. moved to seattle on my own at 20y/o. did a lotta traveling. had some kids, & eventually moved back to this area because of this mountain, this river, (the money) & it's proximity halfway between the ocean & desert. had a few more kids. they're all grown now. my sons & i were up at the falls saturday. it's still flowing strong, many deep pools - this late in august too!? AMAZING! weekdays are the best at this time of year when the students go back to school 😉 need a few more heatwaves before fall. ice cold indeed 😅 last may my son & i hiked a mile up above sea level to bear flats, where we watched a baby rattlesnake eat a whole lizard, from head to toe, & minutes later saw the most beautiful young golden bear in the world, which started running towards us. luckily we were on a trail uphill from it & got a headstart on it lol. i've seen bighorn sheep up there many times too. there are mountain lion warning signs posted on all of the trails just a mile up the road from here, where houses end, bush starts, & the foothills begin to get very steep. happy hiking✌
Wow, it sounds like you had so many amazing adventures here. Thank you so much for sharing. We really enjoy hearing our viewers experiences. It means a lot to us 😀😀
Amazing footage and great adventure!! As usual, thank you for sharing. How many miles did you hike in total? And congratulations on reaching 1000 subs!!🎉
👍🏻 Thank you for watching 🙌 we greatly appreciate your support. it’s about 3-3.5 miles in and out. Heidi used her step counter. Rough hike through the creek but well worth it!
Only if you want to rock climb on the sides of the waterfall ! 😅😅(bring your own gear there's no ropes ) it's a fun short hike back and around to the top . SAFER unless you are an experienced rock climber! It's a blast ! Check the depth before sliding!!👍👍
Thanks for watching 🙌 We use iPhone 14 with Oniel or body glove water case $25 at Walmart. Also an Insta 360 water camera for water shots for high light conditions. The AI editing allows for changing a front view to back view or side views from one shot. The short called “California Paradise” (Thumbnail) title is “a California Dream at Punch Bowls” this short will show you how it comes out. Also if you get a long selfie stick 6-10’ for the Insta 360, you can shot film from above you or reach over a fall and it looks like a drone, it has disappearing self stick feature built in. Just those two, but honestly the iPhone 14 is better quality and super convenient. remember while in water, makes sure to wipe the lenses so you don’t have water drops. Hope that helps, wish you the best, I’ll check out your channel today 🤩🙌👍🏻
We really do not recommend bringing children. It's very slippery with the rocks and you have to go down a steep slope to get to the stream and climb up a waterfall . We have seen people slip and slide . We have seen older kids here but It's a dangerous area if you are not experienced . But as a parent it is up to you.

After you go down the slide is there any way to get back to the top other than hiking back down the trail?

Waterslide?!? More of a drop! I’m down tho.
It’s a little intimidating to be honest but a blast at the same time!!
Thoughts on how kids of various ages might do on this excursion? 😊

Park in designated areas otherwise you will get a ticket. Hundreds of tickets issued this weekend and cars towed!
Yes and get your Adventure pass to display in your window !
It's $5 for the day or $30 for the year ! Huge savings as opposed to getting towed $$$$
My parents are cooler than me 😎😝 looks like fun😍!
😂😂
