    Mathews has mastered the dead in the hand after the shot but after the shot all the work is done. So many better bows out there Mathews is getting left behind. Almost every bow companies bow are close to vibration free. I want tune ability and a good draw cycle and let off.

      Enough with that BS. This whole, "Hand shock" thing is nonsense. It only became important because marketing told you it matters. NO ONE thinks to themself when they are shooting a match or just shot an animal, "damn that bow had a lot of hand shock on that release." It's NONSENSE. Marketing schemes are brainwashing you people.

      I’ve shot them all this year. Personally, phase 4 is second to none. By quite a sizeable margin. All it needs is a $40 shrewd grip. You don’t have to buy in on the bridgelock shit. I run the same stabilizers I had on my last bow. Always has to be a hater.

    I'm sure they're nice bows but my 30" Halon 7 will be sticking around for at least another year. IMO, if Mathews wants to build the ultimate short hunting bow, it would be 30"-31" ATA with no less than a 7" brace.

    The thing that concerns me about this bow, is the rubber bushing in between the limbs. I’m sure it takes away vibration, no doubt. But rubber materials will “Dry Rot” over time. When that happens…THEN WHAT?

      Fair concern because it is unknown……however, what defines “over time?” I have bows 15 years old with rubber dampers that have not rotted. And if there is an issue with dry rot, that doesn’t happen overnight. You’re going to notice it start and Mathews has lifetime warranty on limbs. I have also had rubber dampener poo roductsbeging melting on the stabilizer after having been stored on the bow inside a foam poo added bow case; there was some sort of chemical breakdown from being surrounded by foam even though the bow case was lined with cotton or some fabric mix.

    Man… kinda disappointed in Mathews this year, got me looking at that pse Mach 34 pretty hard, basically it’s the same bow as they’ve had for the last several years, I also wish they had a 80 lbs option, I have the VXR 31.5 from 2019 and other than the cable guard and a couple extra holes in the riser it’s the same bow, what happens when your walking through brush and that knob holding your $2-300 stabilizer falls off I hope it locks some how, just the bracket to hold the rear bar is $200 you’ll easily double the price of this bow just getting getting the basic accessories for it

    • @kellenpucher2849
      @kellenpucher2849 Рік тому +4

      Agreed - At this stage the improvements to the Mathews bows are so minor that they'll hardly register in the real world. Personally, I would love an excuse to purchase a Mathews, specifically because of the engage limb system. But when all is said and done, I don't particularly like the draw cycle, back wall or speed coming from this cam system. In this way, they are beat by both Hoyt and PSE.
      Mathews is like a car with fantastic features and bodywork, but a middle-of-the-road engine. The frills are terrific but not at the expense of the things that matter (draw, hold, speed, tunability).

Besides that the Flat Backside on the Regular Stabs Press full on the Frontside from the Bushing ! It is in Fact a relay realy good Connection .An actual 5/16 Screw is in fact more secure and save as an tiny handknop where you basicaly press the Stab down in this Riser "Pocket" . Yeah Mathews say its better but here we have Pirelli that says his Tires are Rounder than the Michelin ...where is a measured proof for all this stuff ? Who can proof this thing is fact 30% quider and blabla.... i would like to see some Hooter Shooter machines with messurmend Electronics that can show me Numbers... Solutions where never Problems was. And anybody says the best Stab wheys nothing and all the wheight is in the end. So we have here an Aloy Bar ! The Weights are behind the bulky metal Tip ..The Wheigts are also full with Moving Parts to archive the clamp mechanism . Many More Parts , many more than before , Maybe many more Problems ?. This is not realy the best way for a Stab. And who wants everytime change the lengh from the Stabs ??? Haha Useless Feature . Oh and please bring the 12 Inch Integrated Stab 10° down ! Ups ... These sliding features are funny on Paper but ok - i have on my backbar an 4° down and 5° outwards I want to slide in my 10° Backbar in - Ups - when you slide in that stops on the Riser...
    Sorry i dont see here a realy Useful Change .
    I have no Problems when somebody tells me - hey we make the new Stabs because it looks cool and we want to make sells ! Its ok for me !But this fantastic Storys what Mathews have behind this Products fits more in a Lord of the Ring Movie as in a real World ...

    Great review!! I have a Matthews V3 31. I love the bow. Have a few questions. 8 limbs, can anything get out of tune over time? Life limits on the center rubber? String is replaced at 1000 shots, so the rubber may have replacement life. I like all the internal mounting features. I work on aircraft and have seen open inserts corrode over time. Does Matthews have an insert plug to plug the open holes so they stay in better condition. And the last question is does the rubber and internal mounts also reduce the bow weight than the V3X 33 and 29? Didn't the V3X have a speed rating of 342 FPS and now 336FPS. Why the difference is it is the same bow.

      @@RealRadNek It's quite odd that there are such contrary reviews on the same product. I've only put a thousand or so shots through mine but I'm yet to notice this vibration some people speak of. Like all things, choice is the flavor of life. I'm in it for simplicity, reliability, efficiency/killing power and weight. The carbon sure is nice now that it's touching -20°C though. What a huge improvement from aluminum in that cold weather.

      As a former PSE fan boy, I have owned the original Omen, DNA, Full Throttle, Evolve 28 & 31, Brute, Xpidite, Decree and I might be missing a few in there. Great bows overall. Great product but tried Mathews with the V3 and I thought my evolve 28 had no hand shock until I shot the V3 that proved me wrong on that point. When I demoed the Levitate, I was quite disappointed but clearly from sales, not everyone thinks that way. That’s why we all have opinions. You can here the deeper story on my channel if you care to see my contrarian review of the levitate. All the best and hope you have the opportunity to whack a big’n this season!

    This isn’t what us shooters want. The v3x was already the deadest bow on the market but Mathews is falling way behind on tunability. It’s no wonder why Mathews shooters are switching to elite. Not to mention more parts means more areas for failure. Big dud this year Mathews.

    • @ambiguity22
      @ambiguity22 Рік тому +8

      The obsession with VIBRATION is just silly. So what if there is a little vibration when you fire. It's so small in these modern bows already, and again, the arrow is looonnnggg gone before your brain even knows you fired.
      I love my v3x, but tuning it myself has been a pain in the ass. The top hat system is outdated, especially when bowtexh and others have way better cam tuning options. My local "pro" shops "tuning" is a joke, I have to do it myself, which is fine, but I would have loved to see a replacement for cam tuning like several other manufacturers.
      Case in point my top Cam is leaning after replacing my strings. My local pro shop said this wasn't a problem and ushered me out the door. I have a wicked left tear, which wasn't discovered by their paper tuning since they only paper tune with 2 or 3 arrows at 2' to 3' and call it good. Instead of being able to pull out an Allen wrench and adjust the Cam myself, I have not shot the bow for over a week while I try to find time to drive to the only Matthews pro shop around, argue with them about the necessity to change the top Cam hat, and deal with the attitude of you don't know what you're talking about but we'll do it anyway oh and that was a $100.

    The three things Mathews should have focused on above noise and vibration are bearings, grip and strings. The bows were already quiet and dead in the hand. Once you get a good set of strings on them and an aftermarket grip, they are excellent bows.

They pretty much made the perfect bow that for the last few years they came out with extras for the bow or that goes on the bow, I’m curious about the rubber between the limbs becoming sun rotted over time.
