Outstanding! You guys are grabbing life by the balls. Great editing and super drone shots. My feet hurt just watching. Looking forward to more kms. and hopefully another date square.
I watched the deterioration of your feet and I’d like to offer a couple of suggestions based on hiking the trail for 25 years. First , buy a good pair of hiking boots. I recommend Dunham cloud. Second, wear a pair of liner socks to avoid blisters. I wear nylon ones with a good merino wool outer and have never had a blister Happy trails Tom Conway
Unbelievable! Looking to thru hike the ECT myself eventually... maybe tacking on a few more days haha. Would be happy to be an extra body at some point for one of these types of trips!!
I was so incredibly happy to complete it, I had contemplated stopping a few times when my feet pain was unbearable. For training I averaging about 70km a week leading up to the trip running up the mountain by my house. Once a week I would do a long run with the pack. I was physically prepared but not so much prepared for my feet. Next time will be more socks and Vaseline 😁

The agony and the euphoria of your last few km really came across the screen. What kind of prep work did you do before the hike?
