Beautiful brickwork. A real architectural gem. I'm not sure exactly where it was but I'll pull out my historic maps of Stoke and have a look. So many interesting and historic buildings seem to have been lost in Stoke on Trent, so much that the very character of the place has gone. My mum said the other day, 'If my granddad was dropped in Shelton today he wouldn't recognise the place.' Imagine the old roundhouse as a small concert venue for instance.
Once again excellent pictures walked through the office door to book on on many occasions . I understand that lots of brand new fire were found under the roundhouse and we could not find any when needed

Must have looked stunning when first built.
Such a shame it was demolished.
I read once that Stoke roundhouse would have made a good opera house.
