We have a patch of Iris flowers growing in our backyard, which only just finished blooming. They smell so lovely! A soft, subtle powdery sweetness. They make me think of candy cigarettes from my childhood, the kind that if you blow on them, they release a puff of powdery sugar. I’m inclined to dig up a bit of the orris root so I can also smell it.

Lovely review. I too liked this more than LDE, which I did like too, but there is something about Belle Ame that elicits a vague memory of someone or somewhere but I still cannot place it. It's progression from opening to dry down keeps me sniffing my skin.
