firm, i just put it on floor without bed frame, it will feel more firm than Ikea show room. This mattress need a few day to "run in", after that it feel supportive. Overall I am satisfied especially if you often turn around while sleeping, the person besides will not feel so annoying compared to normal spring mattress.
