Congratulations on the C8! People won't understand the difference until they actually own a "rattle trap" 1967 Camaro, regardless of the money spend restoring it.
I bought my 67 SS 350 Camaro convertible in May 1975, and served in the USCG during the 70s! The back seat has used very often! I have personally maintained it and it still has original drive train, ball joints and drive shaft! Most of the normal wear parts have been replaced(had to replace original radiator last year) The Camaro is a 4 speed Muncie, with 4.11 posi and it is quick! My 87 Grand National(bought new with 12 miles on it) and the Camaro run neck in neck! Although my 68 Mercury Cougar with 428 Cobra Jet is probably a little quicker! The ram air and C6 really work well together! Although the C8 is really special(wish I could afford 1) , I would not trade it for the 67!

Most people that build a 1st gen camaro dont change the sub frames . They are always bent and so is the body mounts . Just like the fox body mustangs. I own many Classics, including a 69 Camaro RS/SS, C2 Corvette, Air Cooled 911 & I love the thought of owning a new Corvette as well, Z06 specifically. I just can't bring myself to sell a classic, they only go up in value over time, where as a new Corvette will drop like a rock. Where as the classics just keep go up in value. Maybe just lease a C8, and know how much you're throwing away up front.

I really wish I could get one of these down here in Australia but they are generally priced anywhere from around $175,000AUD and top out at around $336,000AUD. It's fucking wild here bro.
Inline threes sound a lot like straight-sixes, however that cylinder deactivation into V4 mode doesn't sound good compared to the full 8 firing... I have to say though the Toyota Yaris hybrid 2021 i drive at work sounds very bad, is it the Atkins cycle or are they using the wrong firing order? Sounds nothing like a BMW inline three or a Triumph inline three... I drove a Hyundai i20 light-hybrid with a turbo inline three at work before and that sounded like it should! The Yaris sure gets better gas mileage though...
I see it. The newer cars are much much easier to drive than the older cars and the exact performance is much much more precise on the newer cars... I would love to see a comparison between this model Corvette and I believe it was the R8 Audi that you had type of car to see which does better since they were both mid-engine. Enjoy!!!!!
Recently bought a 2025 Hysteria Purple C8 2LT Z51 with cool gray interior. Just rolled over 500 miles, so I am out of the “no fun” zone. Thrilled with the car so far.

Sweet car. Bad trade investment wise. That Camaro won't go down in value. But i totally get wanting to have something you can have more fun with by getting the c8. Do you and have a blast man.
It doesn't look like Hoovie's Riptide Blue because it is not Riptide Blue. C8 has been available in at least 3 or 4 blues. That appears to be the slightly more rare premium color Rapid Blue, code GMO. At least that is what it looks like on video.
I Love 60s and early 70s muscle cars ,but i will say this My 2024 2SS 1LE is just better in everyway as far as corvettes go ,Im not the biggest C8 fan ,I would love a Z06 or the upcoming ZR1 but other than that it would be a C7 Z06 /Zr1 for me .very good video btw
The problem with the new corvettes is that they are not the old corvettes. There is such a departure from the classic lines that they really just should have been renamed. The Corvette evolved for decades, but always looked like a corvette. This DOES look like a modern supercar, and I like the styling. But i would rather have seen them keep a lower priced corvette with more traditional styling in the 44-50k zone, and call this new car the Scythe or something else.
Thought about getting a c8 but instead I got myself a 991.1 TTS. Honestly I thought the c8 was a fine car but there is no substitute when it comes to a 911.

I really wish I could get one of these down here in Australia but they are generally priced anywhere from around $175,000AUD and top out at around $336,000AUD. It's fucking wild here bro.
Very unpopular to say, but it does share many similarities with my 2019 accord.
Enjoy!!!!!
I believe the first gen viper. Original MSRP was 59,000. That was a V10 and that was nothing compared to this car.
My aunt had a g1 Camero and us 5 kids would sit in the back seat.
💯
Just fell in love with the C8. The cold start sounds so good ❤
Recently bought a 2025 Hysteria Purple C8 2LT Z51 with cool gray interior. Just rolled over 500 miles, so I am out of the “no fun” zone. Thrilled with the car so far.
Your generation is the reason companies can sell trucks for $100K, orange juice is $5 a quart and dinner at 5 Guys for $30. Calling a $65K car cheap. That's insane. Just say NO!
You forgot to tell me exactly how many corvettes look exactly like that
Sweet car. Bad trade investment wise. That Camaro won't go down in value. But i totally get wanting to have something you can have more fun with by getting the c8. Do you and have a blast man.
25:45 brakes? I don't wanna stop, I wanna go!
How do you see out of the windshield?
You don't have to mention the number when the scenery through the camera is a complete blur.
It doesn't look like Hoovie's Riptide Blue because it is not Riptide Blue. C8 has been available in at least 3 or 4 blues. That appears to be the slightly more rare premium color Rapid Blue, code GMO. At least that is what it looks like on video.
I use my Camaros back seats (22 ss) ive even had 6 people in mine 2 in the passenger seat 3 in the back. it was only 2 miles and not the most comfy.
I haven’t even watched the video yet and you must have rocks in your head to swap for that!
Go rent a corvette.
I'm not a Corvette guy but the C8's are pretty sweet!
Hey, if you have a car that you will drive versus a car you're probably scared to drive? Wunning!
Yes even the Cadillac xlrs have that paint defect. Atleast my xlr does
Concerns on transmission issues? Seems like the upkeep is expensive and seen a lot of issues going around.
They're not being built for Boomers anymore. They're being built for Gen X and Millennials now. A passing of the torch
Thought about getting a c8 but instead I got myself a 991.1 TTS. Honestly I thought the c8 was a fine car but there is no substitute when it comes to a 911.
Yes there is, every new 911 is better than the older one just like every new corvette gen. is better then the old one.
YOU'RE A HUGE GHEYLORD PERSON
the middle button on the right spoke with the guy 'talking' is the answer phone button and it also mutes the radio when pressed the one below does end the call my dad's Caddy XT5 has the same buttons and you can answer it from the radio OR the button on that wheel
Is the Corvette’s windshield tinted? 😂
For me, it would be difficult to get rid of the Camaro, you see Vettes everywhere. How many first gen Camaro's do you see? But i do see the quandary. Steve in Texas.
The Corvette's going to be in a dump in 20 years and the Camaro will still be worth preserving.
Weren't you saying you've had nothing but problems with that Camaro, drive it, breaks, fix it, drive it, breaks, fix it, repeat. I'd make the trade but you won't have much content to make with that C8, nothing's broken.
And don't do that ridiculous wing, either. You're not 16 anymore (and neither am I) 😅
Noooooooooooo Keep the Camaro. I ❤ that Car.😅
