I can't thank you enough for your honesty. So many people, Christian people in particular, are afraid to share things from their past because of shame and a fear of rejection. I think of the old hymn, " Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left it's crimson stain,, He washed it white as snow". There is someone out there waiting to hear your testimony and mine. We can comfort others with the comfort wherewith we have been comforted. Jesus really did pay for it all....and we are set free.

Of course we need counseling. We can’t get overly spiritual about deep emotional issues. Some of us need a clinical psychologist because of the depth of the problems. This doesn’t put aside faith. But it helps with healing, and the rest is done by prayer.
