Most left back to Chechenya after the war was over, few stayed (few months ago there was a case of two Chechens de-facto executing a Russian citizen) The fear of Russia pushed us to make a deal with the devil and join NATO. Dude, it was not a war against russian imperialism. In 90's after opening non-communist parties, islamic nationalists gained the power by religious people and formed nation militia foces. They builded small dictatorship and killed many of people who were against them(even chechens). I don't say that Russian government was good or bad, but terroristic organisation of Basayev and others can not be respected. By the way, now chechen people have more rights in Russia, than russians and onter nationalities of Russian Federation
